So the show finally comes to an end...
So the verdict is Yudisthir was flawless...
And they have cleverly avoided Draupadi's partiality for Arjun, instead given those rumoured reasons for sufferings...🤬
No matter wat, those 'Sutaputra' n 'Andha Ka Putra Andha' wouldn't be forgotten...😭

Nevermind.

And Sahadev's sudden step-brotherly outburst was wrong. They needn't have shown that.

The ending was decent...n the united family looked great.

Reasons for all the deaths was sooo wrong...clearly wanting to avoid controversy. Heck, we all know what the epic says...

I really didn't understand Mahadev suddenly turning up and they had to sacrifice everything in yagya in order to move forward (and they were able to move forward!)...yet the sins weigh you down...😕😕😕

Of all things, Nakul got attracted to a bunch of flowers??

Sahdev's outburst was sooo unnatural...🤔

Is it just me or did Draupadi & Arjun behave the same way on the mountains? "I have solved your issues till now so let me do that now as well"...deliberate by CVs?

And how did a glassy / icy bridge turn up in those icy mountains??

And even more bizzare - Bhim punched his way to the entrance of Heaven (well...almost)😕
His death was sooo gross...ew!

The narak scene was so...anything to keep the rumour mill going...🤔
(BTW, I can't believe this adaptation actually made Draupadi utter those words that she never did...even in SPMB, it was the daasi who said that!)

And...hello to Devraj Sony Karna! One big happy family in the end! 😆

The show that defied all logic and common sense...finally! Good riddance.

I know it never played out in this way in the epic (and the deaths were not so dramatic either), but a hypothetical question (based on what was shown) -

What if Yudi had chosen to save Bhim rather than the dog?

A part of me thinks that Yudi acted basically to save his own skin. His own survival had much better chances whilst saving the dog.

Just imagine Yudi trying to pull Bhim out of that slush - Would it ever have been possible? He himself would've got pulled inside the slush alongwith Bhim...so, rather than attempting to save his brother (no matter what fate he would've faced), he basically saved his own skin by choosing to save the dog.

This is completely my view.

Like I said, hypothetical question. I mean, when Yudi told the drowning Bhim that he was perfectly capable of looking after himself, those words seemed cold and empty to me (I mean, he was drowining in that slush. How could he have ever saved himself in such a situation?)

I too felt that Arjun n Draupadi said similar things. Both seemed far-fetched...😆

And speaking of 'Andha Ka Putra Andha'...🤬
I am really waiting for the day when someone would have the guts to depict Mahabharat without all these interpolations...No Sutaputra comment...no Vastraharan...no unnecessary glorification of characters. Ya...I know, wishful thinking!!

Coming to Swarg...if I am not mistaken, then the first divine entity that Yudisthir had seen was Draupadi herself, in the form of Goddess Shree. But here...🤬
Most of the others had united with their divine fathers.

And SonyKarna as 'Devraj'...🤣

Ok ok...Ya...this show is on Karna...

Nonetheless the happy family reunion, n Duryodhan hugging Yudisthir was heart-warming.
They could have shown Bhima-Duryodhan hug...n Karna-Arjun hug.
And Dushasen n Draupadi greeting each other with a smile...all anguish of past life forgotten.

Unless SidT has already made plans for another MB adaptation. 😆😆😆

Shyam bhai has even given a few suggestions for starters! 🤣

Some possible titles that I imagine would spur from his creative mind

Agni Janmi Kanya Draupadi, ek istree ka apamaan aur pratishodh

Purushottam Pandavas

ChandraVanshi Ka KuruVansh - Sarvanash

Mahabharata Dobara

Untim Pasa - Mahabharata Ki Kahani

SidT, wherever you are, may you develop a phobia and never ever make a show on Mahabharat again. Because that just seems to be the only way you wouldn't make a show on Mahabharat yet again.

Nevertheless, I have immense respect for SidT for giving out some good lessons. Maybe he could learn a lesson or two that he shouldn't interpolate and succumb to the pressure of TRP if he wants to make something like Mahabharat or Ramayan.

I think, creative liberty is fine.
Copy-pasting from KMG is not the right way of any rendition...Bcoz KMG is not the most authentic source...neither is it the only source.

So, if Siddharth Tewary n his team have researched n taken parts from various sources it is ok...n even the additional emotions n sentiments is ok, within certain limits.

The major grumbling I have is...he has altered the entire nature of various characters completely.
Some glorifications are ok...but completely altering the overall nature of a character for the sake of TRPs is unforgivable. He had all the resources. He had the money, the actors n even his director has done a great job. But he only did wat all other major renditions had done before, with only better effects n more grandeur...n fed into Indian minds the age-old misconceptions, n strengthened them. If only, he n his team hadn't let their biases decide the scripts of the shows, n dared to show the real characters with all their flaws n qualities, without any justication, we would have applauded him.

But I guess...the Indian audience is not prepared for such depiction.

And then there is a section of people who believe watever they see on TV or read on a blog or Wikipedia. That is the most dangerous outcome of such modified renditions.

I cannot imagine what people will write if they ever answer a test on Mahabharat based on this. I dare not think about it.

Question, have they really copied from KMG? I have not read it but I heard it is one of the better sources.
