During one of the recent Weekend Ka Vaar episodes, Salman didn't shy away from addressing, albeit in his trademark humorous style, the controversy surrounding, Sikandar, and director A.R. Murugadoss's remarks about his "late arrivals" on set.

When comedian Ravi Gupta asked him to name any films he regretted doing, Salman mentioned Suryavanshi and Nishchay from the early '90s but quickly clarified that he had no regrets about his recent work.

What particularly caught the audience’s eye was Salman responding to Murugadoss’ remarks about him arriving late on film sets. In a playful dig, Salman remarked, "Main set pe raat ke 9 baje pahuchta tha, toh usme gadbad ho gayi. Meri pasaliyan tooti thi… hamare director sahab ne ye kaha, lekin unki picture abhi ek release hui hai jisme actor 6 baje pahuchta tha."

The line served as his way of clarifying that his delayed call times were due to a rib injury, not carelessness. He went on to mention how both Murugadoss and producer Sajid Nadiadwala distanced themselves from Sikandar once it stumbled at the box office.

Ending his comments, Salman said, "Madharaasi karke picture unhone direct ki hai jo ki release hui, bahut badi film hai aur utni hi badi….(smiles), Sikandar se badi blockbuster," a witty jab that doubled as both humour and defence. It was one of the most candid moments of the season, Salman using Bigg Boss not to create controversy, but to reclaim his narrative with a blend of honesty and wit that only he can pull off.

Salman Clears the Air on Arijit Singh Feud

In the same episode featuring comedian Ravi, Salman finally addressed one of Bollywood's most talked-about feuds, his fallout with singer Arijit Singh. During a candid exchange, Ravi jokingly admitted that he felt nervous meeting Salman because people compared his looks to Arijit's. The remark instantly lightened the mood, prompting Salman to laugh and clear the air about his long-rumoured rivalry with the singer.

The superstar revealed that the previous tension had arisen from a misunderstanding on his part and added that he and Arijit are now on excellent terms. Salman even mentioned that Arijit has sung for him in multiple films, including Tiger 3, and will soon lend his voice to a track in his upcoming film. Calling him "a good friend," Salman's remarks finally put an end to years of speculation, showing that both have moved on with mutual respect and camaraderie.

Refuting the Career-Maker Myth

Another subject that Salman tackled during a Weekend Ka Vaar, when Shehnaaz Gill appeared, was the long-standing allegation that he either "makes" or "breaks" careers in the industry.

Responding to her request to help her brother Shehbaz, he stated, "Maine kahan banaye hain kisi ka career. Career banane waala toh upar waala hai," emphasising that only God decides someone's success, not him.

Salman added, "Laanchan bhi daala hai ki kitnon ke dubaaye hai. Specially dubaane waale toh mere haath mein hai hi nahi. Lekin aaj kal sab chalta hai na ki career khaa jaayega. Kaunsa career khaaya maine? Par agar khao na toh main apna khud ka career khaa jaunga." He further reflected that sometimes he becomes complacent and lets situations go, but he always tries to bring them back under his control when needed.

Salman Opens Up About Being Wrongly Blamed

One of the most emotional moments of BB 19 came when Amaal Mallik's father, Daboo Mallik, joined Salman Khan on stage to counsel his son after a series of heated incidents inside the house. The conversation quickly turned heartfelt as both father and son grew emotional, and Salman stepped in with advice that revealed the weight of his own past experiences. Salman said that while he constantly tries to guide Amaal, his impulsive nature often lands him in trouble.

He urged Amaal to think before reacting, quoting Sushmita Sen's words that people will remember and judge ones reaction, something he has personally learned the hard way. In a rare moment of self-reflection, Salman admitted, "Woh jo 30-40 saal pehle ki baatein hain, man-ghadan, exaggerated baatein hain, aaj thak ke I’m paying for those things man. Do you think you can handle that? It's a very vicious world, Amaal."

He then added, "Joh cheez nahi bhi ki hain woh bill faade gaye hai mujh par aur aaj thak ke jhel raha hoon. Do you have that mental strength? Charity karo toh dikhawa hai, izzat karo toh dikhawa hain.”

Salman told Amaal that these were just small lessons being told to him.

Drawing from his and Sanjay Dutt's past struggles, he told Amaal that the world can easily turn against a person, and in such times, one must stay grounded, keep listening, and continue working tirelessly with patience and strength.

Salman Responds to Social Media Criticism

In one of the WKV episodes, Salman directly addressed the growing social media criticism that accused him of favouring Amaal inside the Bigg Boss 19 house. The actor-host clarified that viewers often miss out on crucial moments from the show, leading to a distorted perception of what actually happens.

Salman went on to challenge the contestants, asking them to name one person he has been reprimanding since the beginning. When everyone unanimously named Amaal, Salman used it to underline his point, that he has been tougher on Amaal than anyone else.

He said, "Just because I know Amaal from the beginning, I am accused of being biased." In fact, he revealed that he has often scolded Amaal more harshly than any other contestant. Salman also clarified that he corrected others as well, like Kunickaa Sadanand, whenever they went wrong. Emphasising his role as a mentor rather than a biased host, he remarked that Bigg Boss is a space where one can be criticised or praised depending on their actions, adding that his goal is always to guide contestants.
