Hiya Friends,

I just saw the first episode of Sujata-- 14th april 2008-- and i felt so bad when i saw the way Viresh(Aman Verma) treats his wife Sujata(Indrani Halder) and how the kids treat her as if she is nothing else but a pain etc

oh my god...so sad!😕
But i must say..great start...i mean it was an interesting start👏

Love,

I was too upset watching the first episode. another story where the characters are way too cruel and mean to one particular person. a person who should be walking on water. its irritating to see serials where they make characters so extreme. most moms are the strong backbones of families and many families do things indiviually and are neglectful of elders.

Like pinkyfly said earlier - every does their own thing in their own space in most homes.

but hoenstly to show them speak so horribly and be mean is awful. This same BR camp that made Bagbhan showed similar charcters. children being mean and talking badly. moms sit alone watching serials soemtimes to get some nice RR for themselves also after a hard day taking care of the home.

i wish they could find a middle path. show neglect and being uncaring but to show this kind of cruelty and speech is demeaning. there may be men who do that but why perpeutate it and make it seem like the norm.

the other one sujata also from first episode showing one mean sis in law money hungry poison talking character.

AWFUL ... puts you off from watching. why cna't they handle storylines with some more finesse. i turned off my TIVO. not going to bother recording or watching these new serials.

@avadvani

the show was superb yaar once watch it frm the point of sujata dont u think how many women r treated in same way in tht age .

once compare tht sujata's charetcer ti ur mom or any one of tht age then u will know and the performance of sujata was fantabulous and i loved the 1st episode it rocked .

i have high expectations frm the show after watching the 1st episode my expectations on this show doubled.

sorry dont feel bad yaar im not pouncing on u just i was saying to watch it interestingly then u will find tht its not tht bad too

havent seen it.
but from ur discussion here: Yeah, I'm tired of those sacrifising good typical bahus of all serials. And all the woman sacrifice and blabla.

But what is different in this show is that it shows the story of a 40 year old woman who has sacrificed her life for her childre and hubbie and is getting this treatment. Sadly...that is a reality. It has happened with so many people and what they are showing here...I can find in a lot of homes!!! That IS actually happening in REAL life! Believe me even that character of money hungry sis in law can be found in so many homes!

It is a sad start but guys it shows the reality in d world for alot of women ,we don't realize but maybe because we have not dealt with such a situation but it is just so sad 2 see how everyone ignore the one person that spend all her life looking after u and ur home 2 b honest with u i feel angry at kids who disrespects their parents/elders . i strongly belive ek yeh rishta hai jo bina matlab se aap ko piyar karta aur kabhi badalta nahin hai.

the first episdoe was just like a leaf taken out of a real life. it hapens almost in every home where we remain busy with studies and friends and our fathers with their jobs. moms r left alone in a family whereas for a mother her family is her world for which she sacrifices her own dreams and desires.
this is a very sad and awful picture of our society specially because of all families becoming nuclear.
i only hope this serials shows some way out of this.

I totally agree with you. I couldn't even tolerate the humiliation Sujata got in the very first episode. Not a single member of the family aprreciates her hard work. Shame on this kind of society. Is Sujata worth only appreciation from Mossi?????? She is not a criminal that everyone is abusing her. I don't think I will sacrifice my sleep to watch this kind of society when MOTHER,/WIFE/WOMAN has no respect.

I guess my reality is a little different then. Around me i have never seen anyone speak so rudely or badly to their elders. yeah getting irritated and saying someting sometimes is possible. but this kind of extreme is not someting i have been exposed to and would like to be. so maybe that is why i don't like it. but even if it is .. will showing it in this extreme perptuate the behavior. look at the acceptance of most people. "yeah this is the reality sadly". neglecting or ignoring the people around you because you are caught up in your life does not translate to meaness and nastiness in behavior and speech in my opinion. there are so many ways to portray that without showing this kind of hurtful speech.

Bhagbaan was a real tear jerker and i think they are cashing in on that sentiment only in this case using a wife. didn't most people feel that way.. yeah people ignore their parents etc etc...

I'm sorry but its not for me. when they show this woman stand up for herself then i will begin to watch. as long as they show a doormat who doesn't even let the servant she hires do the work ( gimme a break !! get real ) i'm outta of here.
