I was the first to notice it, and at this point, his lips were against my neck. I stopped him and he looked annoyed.
"Suhani..." He moaned. "What is it?"
"It sounds like a whole mob is knocking on our door. Didn't you hear it?"
"No, I heard you saying that you wanted all of me..." He smiled.
I covered his mouth. "Yuvraj, shut up and put your shirt back on." I said. I raised my brows. I tried to get up but he didn't let me. He kept me pinned underneath him.
"I can't believe you're doing this to me..." He moaned.
"SHHH!!" I said. There was more than one person at the door. It sounded like Maa, Sharad bhaiyya and others all were waiting outside.
"Oh Guru, let Bhabhi go for a few minutes." Sharad bhaiyaa said. I heard laughter. I blushed hard and got away from Yuvraj and fixed myself hair and saree in the mirror.
"I hate Sharad. I haaate him." Yuvraj said.
"Stop complaining and open the door." I said.
"Will you please just let me put my shirt on first?" He said.
I opened the door and Sharad, Anuj, and Saurabh bhaiyya were all outside along with Maa. Yuvraj gave them all an angry look.
"Awww, my little bro's glaring at me. Relax, you don't need to make your nose any bigger than it already is." Saurabh bhaiya said. "I came here to welcome my sister in law home."
"Hi Bhaiya..." I smiled.
"Hello, Suhani." He hugged me. Everyone took turns hugging me. "I'm glad my little brother finally grew up." Saurabh bhaiya said. Yuvraj was in a sadu mood again, so he glared at everyone.
"Guru needs privacy. He's a big boy now." Sharad bhaiyya laughed. I was so embarrassed. I tried to hide behind Maa.
"Sharad, don't forget that I'm older than you..." Yuvraj said. Sharad bhaiyya ducked.
"Bhaiya, I hope you're ready to be disturbed every single time you try to get romantic with Bhabhi. We're not going to leave you both alone." Anuj bhaiya said.
"Chhotu, don't cross your limits." Yuvraj warned.
"Uh, nope...Yuvraj, Chhotu and Sharad have my approval." Saurabh bhaiyya said. "But for now, we'll leave you two alone. It's late. Suhani, we're thrilled you're back home. We all missed you so much." He said. They all left. Maa stayed behind and Yuvraj groaned.
"Maa, how come you only try to discipline me? Why not my rowdy brothers?" He crossed his arms in front of his chest.
"They're just having fun, beta. Yuvraj...they're just as happy for you as I am." She said.
"I know..." Yuvraj smiled. "I know they love me. They just have an unusually annoying way of showing it." He said.
"Ok, you two...I've arranged a puja for you in the morning...so you'll need to get up early. Go to sleep now, and get ready first thing in the morning." Maa gave me a bag. "Suhani, these are for you...look at them in the morning. It's all for the puja." She said. After that, she left and Yuvraj grabbed my wrist and pulled me back inside our room, locked the door, and pinned me against it. He stared at my lips and pressed his against mine and kissed me. I struggled to get in a word or two between each kiss.
"Yuvraj..." I said and he kissed me again. "We should sleep..."
"No. I'm not letting you sleep. The next time someone knocks on the door while I'm busy doing other things, I'm not going to listen to you. I'm not going to stop, and tonight, I'm going to punish you for what you did." He said.
I pouted. "I'm tired..." I said. I pretended to yawn.
"Tired?" He raised his brows. "You didn't seem tired right before my brothers nearly broke our door open. In fact, you were begging me to touch..." I covered his mouth.
"Shhh! Someone will hear you." I said.
"Who? The walls?" He said.
"Yuvraj, let me go. We need to sleep now. Didn't you hear what Maa said?"
"I can't sleep." He said. "Suhaniii..." He begged like a child.
"What?" I asked. I tried escaping. "Fine...do whatever you want." I said. I gave up. He grinned. "Really?" He asked.
I blushed.
"So, I really get to do whatever I want to you?" He asked. He was staring directly at me and holding me tight. I looked down.
He held my face. "I was joking, but the idea is quite appealing..." He said.
I smiled. We went to bed and slept. In the morning, I unpacked before Yuvraj was up. I checked the bag Maa had given me. It had a red and cream colored saree in it and gold earrings.
I got ready and changed into the saree. I woke Yuvraj up and he got ready as well. I was sitting in front of our dressing table. I was holding my mangal sutra. When Yuvraj was ready, I stood and handed it to him.
"I want you to put it around my neck again..." I said. He nodded. He put it on just as he had done on our wedding day. Then I told him to fill my maang again. He did it and then he smiled at me.
"You look lovely..." He said. "Come here..." He brought me closer and kissed my forehead. "Wait, I have something for you." He said.
He went and got red box and opened it. It was a delicate gold bracelet with a heart shaped ruby in the center of it. He put it on my wrist. I hugged him. "Thank you..." I said.
"Like it?" He asked.
"Love it..." I said.
"Suhani, I hate sharing you with everyone." He said. "They're my family and by right, yours as well...but I just want to tell you that I'm the most selfish creature alive. I want every second of your time to be spent with me and for doing things for me." He confessed. He looked guilty, like a child.
I laughed and shook my head. "You ARE selfish. You're mad if you think that I want to spend all my time on you only..." I said. He grabbed my arm and pulled me towards him.
"Don't try my patience." He said. "Or I'll tell everyone what you were saying last night when we..." He stopped. We both laughed. I held his hand and we left our room for the puja which marked the start of our life together in every sense.
