Chapter 2
Yuvraj was standing outside his mom's hospital room and he was in total shock his mom had a stroke and he felt like a complete failure he had tried as much to look after her health as possible but it hadn't been enough. She had luckily gotten through the operation and afterwards he had sent the rest of his family home telling them that he would inform them if there was a change. He couldn't leave and wanted to be here just in chance she wakeup but also he had a feeling she might come soon as well. They had been all shocked when he was about to sign for her operation and was told that he didn't have the authority to do so and rather his wife Suhani Birla could only sign. He wasn't very surprised he knew his mom loved Suhani and had immediately phoned Suhani's dad and told him about the situation and they had gotten the msg to her.
As he stood looking at his mom he thought about Suhani it had been 1 year 2 months since the last day he had spoken to her. The day she had left him had been what he thought back than to be the worst day of his life he had gone mad looking for her and he couldn't really believe that she had just left him in that manner. His feelings for her during the months of searching had changed btw fear and anger and then fear again. What had made it worse then was that he had felt like he had brought this on himself since he had initially wanted her out of his life but by then everything had changed for him and he wanted to give them a chance. He could never truly explain the fear he felt every night that he couldn't find her and had to phone hospitals to check if she was in 1 of them and what made it worse was he didn't even know if she had enough money on her coz she hadn't taken her credit card. What would she do, where would she stay and what would she eat he at 1 point wished that if she did have money she would run out of it and phone her dad or take out money someway coz he knew she couldn't go without eating for too long.
And then after a while he had gotten angry with her she had come into his life without his permission and had left without it as well. From the second she came into his life he had no control over his life the only decision he had ever really taken when it came to them was to stay married to her but now she even took that decision away from him. She was always the nice 1 willing to forgive every1s mistakes and lies. So why hadn't she had done the same with him and let him explain things to her before making such a huge decision he didn't get why things between them couldn't have just stayed the way it was. Yes he hadn't loved her but he had in his own way accepted her and respected their relationship so why couldn't she have done the same thing hadn't she realized that things between them had been changing. But than what could he have expected from her whatever she did, where ever she went she always caused some sort of problem and did whatever she wanted.
During this time dadi had called a family meeting and Suhani's parents where including he had just thought that since they where there that dadi was thinking of a way to find Suhani and had been happy. He was shocked when Suhani's dad revealed the truth in front of every1 about why he had married Suhani and told him that he came to ask that he get married again to his other daughter souyma coz he knew she was in love with him. Yuvraj asked him if had gone mad and that he was already married and so was she and Pankaj told him that he can, that souyma's divorce would go through soon and she was in love with him as well. Yuvraj looked at him with full hatred and asked him how he knew that and he said in Suhani's letter she said that she heard Souyma say she loved him. Yuvraj couldn't believe what he had heard he had been so worried about finding Suhani that he hadn't even thought of how she found out the truth. He was shocked when he looked at Souyma and saw her smiling coyly. Dadi had readily agreed and said that she had been aware of the truth and was glad that Pankajji had said this and he listened in shock disgust as they discussed his pending wedding and was totally grossed out as he looked at Souyma.
He once again felt betrayed by souyma she had 1st deceived him as some1 he thought that he would spend his life with and now also as a friend to Suhani and him she had also betrayed them. Whilst he was thinking she was with him coz she was worried about Suhani she had other things in her head and he realized that this whole time while he had been worried sick about Suhani she hadn't never really even asked about Suhani properly. He wondered what sort of friend could do this they hadn't even known if Suhani was dead or alive and she had been happily making her place in his house. He had just been about to go and throw her out when Suhani's mom told him she wanted to speak to him for a minute and she told him she was really sorry about what her husband had done. And that no1 had ever meant to hurt him and that he shouldn't worry about Suhani that she was fine and had phoned her and he had asked where she was and Lata looked nervous and said she wasn't supposed to say. And told him don't worry now, she is fine she is a strong girl and just wants u to be happy. He had smiled hearing that and said he knew that she only wanted to see him and others happy and Lata had smiled sadly to him and said then if he knew that he should move on and be happy for Suhani. Yuvraj saw that she had her purse and grabbed her hand and told her that he will keep her purse for her she was about to refuse when dadi called and he grabbed her purse. She smiled coz she didn't know what to say and so smiled and left as soon as she left he got her phone and he knew that Suhani wasn't using the same sim card so went through her contracts and saw her mom had saved her no. as Suhani 2 and smiled. He msg her and asked her if she was ok and if the place she was staying was ok Suhani immediately replied and said that she was ok and that her Sheetal Buaji was looking after her really well.
He knew the private investigator that he had hired would probably have the address so he quickly put her phone back and went to his room only to be followed by Souyma. As he heard her voice he just cringed and had been about to turn and scream at her to get out but then she started telling him her reasons for falling in love with him how coz of him she had been comparing him and Krishna and coz of that she had fallen for him. He cursed his fate than and realized that in a way he had caused not only his down fall but her as well but for now he couldn't think about her and was just thinking about Suhani and told her he was tired and to leave. She was a bit surprised but said ok and as soon as she left he had locked his room in case she came back even though he felt bad for her he didn't trust her at all now.
Dadi was in Yuvraj's room she was a bit surprised that he had locked it but didn't say anything and she went to his wardrobe and started taking out his clothes and told him that she had a surprise and left. That evening him, his family, and Suhani's family all gathered at the place that he had his engagement with Suhani and then he saw Souyma she had the same dress that she used the day of the engagement and he realized that he had used the same clothes that he had used on his engagement as well. Dadi came and took his hand and put it into Souyma's hand and told him that she just wanted to give her darling grandson everything. She gave Souyma the ring that he had given Suhani that day and dadi told him that she took it from his room and then told everyone that she wanted to recreate the engagement for him with the person that he had thought that he would get married to. Dadi turned from them and starting saying that this was the perfect match for her grandchild, souyma was perfect and so was he. Yuvraj looked at Souyma and all he could remember was Suhani and how happy she had been on their engagement, her sweet smile and her sparking eyes. Tears fall from his eyes at the cruelty of this fate the day that was a nightmare for him meant the most to him now he let go of souyma's hand and took the ring from her hand. Dadi smiled at him and told him go on put on her I know this was always what u wanted. He said that is true she was always wanted I wanted and Souyma smiled shyly and then he said but not anymore he lifted the ring and said that this belonged to my wife this is hers and looked at Dadi in anger and said no1 has the right to touch her things no1 not even u.
Yes I was in love with u but I didn't even know who u where, I thought u where honest but she was honest, I thought u where loyal but she was loyal, I thought u where kind but she was kind, I thought u loved me but she loved me.
Just then he felt a hand on his shoulder and when he turned to look Suhani was he front of him and he grabbed her and hugged her.
