Thank you for posting your concerns. The GM team took time to find a permanent solution for the fan fiction shifting rule as many have concerns about the process being selective. Hence we needed time to consult and discuss this matter with the entire Dev Team and develop global rules concerning fan fictions. There are a few issues that we would like to address which have been brought up by the SH forum members. Firstly, this particular rule was introduced because members thought that the forum was being clouded by FFs pushing back discussion topics. There are sections where fan fictions are not moved because they have an equal amount of discussion topics and stories resulting in a good balance and allows members to easily locate the discussion threads. After much contemplation, the Dev Team has come to a decision that fan fiction can stay in the forum however there will be some rules we expect members to follow. Announcement about it will be made soon. Secondly, threads getting closed down when they reach 150 pages is a standard protocol that has been implemented on I-F for years. It is followed everywhere except for global threads i.e birthdays, live sports match discussions, CC events, forum wide contests/activities. It is locked to give priority to the latest AT/threads. Old ATs were being bumped up meanwhile active and current ATs/DTs were pushed back. It was also done to prevent spam as some tend to reply in previous threads with one word/emotions/quoting old posts. Apart from this, threads that are inactive for a period of 90 days get locked automatically (Refer - Auto Close for topics older then 90 days) Thirdly, It is a misconception that TellyBuzz, changing profile picture and forum logos are managed by the I-F Dev Team. We are only here for moderation. Such tasks are managed by a separate team and we do not interfere with their operations. You can post your request for Telly Buzz (articles, interviews and videos) in TellyBuzz section or mail them at tellybuzz@india-forums.com. The Development team members are not reliable for any of these hence we request the members to contact forum admin or post in the TB forum. Lastly, a viewbie is appointed when a particular forum needs help which is not the case with Sadda Haq. Whether the Dev Team watches the show or not that has nothing to do with moderation. One does not need to watch show to moderate the forum. Unless you don't bring your concerns/issues to the moderation team, having one Dev Team member or two or four will not matter because in either case, none of the parties will be aware that there is an issue to begin with. Even if the forum has a viewbie and there was a major concern, they have to to discuss the matter with Mandy and/or the GMs before tackling the issue. In the current situation, such matters go directly to Mandy.

Members who are new and do not know who the Dev Team is or don't utilize the help desk, often PM fellow active members on the forum for help. Members can either ask the member to contact Mandy, forward these PMs to Mandy or link the member to the help desk. However we do realize that there have been a lot of new members pouring in. Therefore, the Dev Team will do something that will help them be acquainted with forum rules and how the system works. New Dev Team are not added to forums upon members' demand. They are added based numerous factors including the forum's environment, activity and whether existing Dev Team needs help or if there is no Dev Team in place. Many of the top forums of I-F have no viewbie and have been well handled by the respective channel moderators! With all that being said, this thread will now be closed.
