Thank you Vijay. But please, I'm really concerned that newbies can still post topics. The topic insulting me yesterday didn't have image, but it used a lot of description to insult with words. So what is the freak can't pm now? He'll jus open up topics insulting members directly on the forum.

What difference it will make if Stalker is newbie or not?

he will post like new members and when he is goldie or higher, he will do things...

The only thing that will stop this freak is revealing his REAL IDENTITY... they disguise in new IDs coz they love their Real IDENTITIES... once it is in open who that Real Regular member is... it will shatter that fun quotient...

Make it a rule if DEV TEAM find a Regular Member using a FAKE ID 2 harass people, it will be made PUBLIC in that Section...

I agree. These MIDs like to harass people as newbies and pretend to be all nice and sane as regular members! The regular members who do this constantly as newbie MIDs need to be revealed on the open forum and be virtually pelted with stones. Nothing short of that will set them straight.

Even Blocking IF for Proxy sites won't help... coz dn freaks will use CYBER CAFE's for that...

Each day login with new cyber cafe, have fun... u have 2 deal with same style as they attack...

Once a Real Identity of Regular Member is revealed, all members will stop interacting with those dual faced freaks who in regular id are sane n monster in fake ids.

If we want to stops MIDs then block all proxy servers from getting access to IF server, that's the only solution I see to solve this problem. Some regular members here are wolf in sheep's clothing in this forum.

Okay. But WHAT after that? I'm sure nobody posts their pics on Twitter or any other social networking site on purpose just so their privacy could be violated. Dex and DG do come off as mature enough with what to share on here and whatnot. But WHY should THEY always be careful? Why can't YOU guys take some action against these psychos? So from now on anyone has to be careful and not posts their pics on Twitter site cuz that's the price they pay for being a member on I-F? Dex and DG HAVE always been careful. But even then, they were harrassed like this. Since the past couple of days it was them, god forbid tomorrow it may be someone else. 🥱

That's almost like saying that girls shouldn't go out wearing skirts or any "revealing clothes" cuz that gives the pervs the chance to make a move on them. Why blame the victims? Why not take some action so those pervs, or in this case, psychotic stalkers, never get the chance to harrass someone again?

And for th record, I don't have an IF members on my Facebook. But SOMEONE from IF certainly found my Facebook and the cover photo. Now it's really sad that I have to now go through all my social networking and reevaluate he privacy settings ( even though most are already private) just coz there's a psycho on the lose that will stalk me and then insult me on a public for with personal information, because that's the price you get for being active in IF. Please dot give us the privacy lecture. We've been here long enough and are old enough to understand the basics.

Exactly @MrsNeilCaffrey, why should we be afraid of using twitter and facebook because of some losers half way across the world whose sole purpose in life is to hunt us down and harass us because they are insecure and jealous about us?! That is their problem not our's!

Like Desu said, I too do not have anyone from IF on my facebook...not even people I am really close to. My FB is for my family and my real life friends and acquaintances. I guess that is the wisest decision I have taken after joining this Godforsaken site. I have lots of friends from here but they can all only find me on twitter and it does not have my real name on it either. But what if God forbid, tomorrow this psycho decides to look me up on facebook too and finds my real name? Today, Desu's FB was hacked, tomorrow it might be mine or someone else. So please don't blame us...the blame squarely lies in the lap of these MID nutbags.

And Dex, not even hack!

I mean a cover photo on facebook is public. I had one of my cousins and me in a group. EVERYONE has a cover shot on facebook nowadays. Its like a profile picture for facebook.

Its an innocent little shot that you dont mind displaying to people. But WOW, did I learn a lesson. Coz apparently, psychos from IF hunt down your facebook profile, oogle at your cover photo, then open up a topic in India Forums and describe it in detail such as "having sex with kids". Thank God Vijay implemented the no link feature, otherwise I'm sure my photo would have been displayed as well.

But oh, does that make things any better? The fact that my real name is being used with abusing and insulting language has some impact, you know.

And we're supposed to be careful.

Now I've gone and deleted my cover photo as well coz I'm being stalked. Just like MrsNealCaffrey said, way to blame the girls wearing certain types of clothing, that they asked to be raped.

Excuse me, but people who dont have stalkers on their backs have put up cover shots on facebook.

I will once again request that newbies not allowed to post topics until they have a certain number of posts.

Please.

So now they cant harass us via PM, but what good is that if they can just come and humiliate us in public?

Their strength is the ability to make new IDs right? So lets just take that power away from that. Disarm the weapon. Make newbies start off weak, but then WORK up the ladder to acquire the privilege to post topics, PM, etc etc.
