Newbies shouldn't be allowed to PM! Check pg 16 - Page 9

That has already been suggested earlier. Right now the only positive contribution you can make to this thread is to stop the fighting.

So I just had a topic open up about me. Same insults, sick insinuations about having sex with kids. So I'm guessing newbies can still open topics? IF continues to let cyber bullying persist. In a span of 2 days, 2 members have been continuously harassed with no results. I'm also from the US and if IF continues tO ignore these problems, will be lodging a Complaint to the cyber police as well

Hi All,

Just finished going through all the pages on this topic. And itts about time to bring in some strong measures to prevent misuse of the PM feature with the growing size of the site.

So here are a few changes that we are working on:

a) Newbies cannot post images / hyperlinks in PMs also

b) IPs are logged for each PM and we are giving access to the Admin Group and to our inhouse security team to trace and help our Dev Team in identifying problem members.

c) Members will have the option to restrict PMs to be recieved from their Buddies only.

d) Report Offensive PMs directly so that it goes directly to the Inhouse Security Team or selected individuals who will be able to see the reported PMs and take appropriate action.

We hope all this should take care of 90% of the problem. We will be monitoring the situation and see how all these things will solve the issue and what else we need to work on.

As we need to keep a balance and genuine members should not face any problem or feel unwanted and neither the older members feel threatened.

So relax and we will try our best to ensure you all have a great stay on India-Forums.com

^90%? really? 90% that leaves 10% loophole for them to keep on barging on other people's privacy. you're just asking for it, aren't ya?

It's very Sad 2 learn this that both Dex n Desu have gone through such humiliation on public platform. Hope Both of them will never ever face this kind of thing in future...

Before jumping to any conclusion I would request you to read my post again in its entirety.

I would just like to add while we make our systems apt to handle such problem member atleast on India-Forums, we would request our members to be be careful with what personal stuff they upload / share online or on any Social Networks and with whom.
