What was yesterday's episode. I was like feeling like whistling. Shanta, Shanta , Shanta this was the only thing I was murmuring in the whole episode. Raghukul ki maryada, Behen ka apman what dialogues what connectivity. Now what do they mean.

If you remember when Surpi was chasing Ram I had put in the post both Ram and Ravan are born when a woman crossed the line of maryada or rather a woman lured a man for personal benefit.
Now Ravan tells Ram has insulted his sister. Really. Did he insult her. Who asked her to run behind Ram who was telling in clear terms not to come behind him, he is married and he loves his wife dearly.
Who did the mistake Surpi and what is Ravan telling Ram committed a crime by insulting his sister.
Look at the interesting ways of Sanskriti. What did Shanta do. She did the same funda as Surpi. She lured a rishi from his tapasya. Rishisringa fell for her charm ( let us be blunt about it) and crossed the line of maryada. Same with vishravass who crossed the line of maryada with Kaikasi. Now the question is both these men fell for the women's charm and crossed the line of maryada. Is Sanskriti questioning the men who fell for the women's charm or Sanskriti questioning the women who went to lure men. Sanskriti does nothing. Because since marriage happened this hypocrisy of Sanskriti not questioning the man when he crosses the line of maryada is not exposed or questioned. And to ensure it is not exposed it keeps the Prakriti who does such activity also from harm. Neither Rishisrinanga, Vishravass, Kaikasi or Shanta is questioned even thought what happened in those relations is crossing the maryada.
Now comes the second line Sita says Raghukul ki maryada and no one has gone empty handed from Raghu nanadan's door. She is correct. Because Ram as a man has not only understood maryada in theory but through every action of his has practiced it. So for Sita Raghukul ki marayda is raghunandan's action. But what Sita doesn't know is how raghukul has bend this maryada to suit them as and when needed because she has not experienced it. And she will experience it once she is back. And then comes another thing. Whether kul ki maryada or breaking of vachan. Raghukul has crossed the line of maryada by sending women and its princess to lure a rishi and the king of raghukul has broken the vachan given to another king. Sanskriti has broken the maryada and Sanskriit has broken the vachan and both are kept under wraps.
And see now to bring forth the hypocrisy of Ayodhya, to expose the injustice of Ayodhya where Shanta was a victim of circumstances, only Kaikeyi's deed is exposed and Dasrath's ways are hidden Devi Lakshmi is breaking the vachan, and crossing the line of maryada. I said it is to expose Sanskriti, Prakriti is going to cross the line and that is what SKR showed exactly yesterday.
And yes she will be questioned. The woman who broke the vachan to uphold the maryada of raghukul will be questioned, will be forced to give AP, will be banished from Ayodhya. Her mistake she wanted to uphold what her kul stood for.
But where does Sanskriti loses in this game. Ram. The man who takes the brunt of Sanskriti's attack equally on himself.
His life started with prakriti doing treachery on Sanskriti. And his life is going to change with Sanskriti doing treachery on Prakriti. That is Ravan doing treachery on Sita.
And this is where Ram and Ravan differs. Ravan was born because of treachery, he carries forward treachery as he believes that is the way of life. His mother did treachery, so he also can do and see Kaikasi has no problem her son and daughter doing treachery. She only has problem with her sane son whom she tells not needed in Lanka. So once again Lanka is bad, but then it doesn't stop people from doing bad.
Ayodhya is bad, but as I said once again it wraps it badness in the sugar syrupy coat of maryada. And breaking this sugar syrupy coat is the hardest because as I said Ravan is bitter, but Ayodhya feels sugar but not sweet.
And Ram he learned the marayda of raghukul with vashisth and by the time he knew about Shanta and what happened to her as a teenage boy the values were deep rooted in him and he carried forward those in action.
But what happened to his sister is going to come back to him. Behen ka apman. Yes the society of Ayodhya has degraded his sister also. Making her a weapon to get a boy child. How will he revenge that insult which the society heaped on his sister. By not taking any loop hole the Sanskriti has given him. Yes he banishes Sita from kingdom, but not from his heart. He remains loyal to her in body, mind and spirit even when Sanskriti asks him in multiple ways to marry a second time. Everytime he finds his own unique solution to close that loophole. Actually Ram is a problem for Sanskriti because he doesn't fall for Sanskriti's tricks and exposes Sanskriti and its double ways.
He remains within maryada always, just like the Sanskriti expects a woman to be. His loyalty towards his better half is a slap in the face of Sanskriti who thinks if a man falls for a woman it happens because men are like that. He shows all men are not like that and need not be like that. They also need to exercise self control and be loyal to their wives as much as they expect loyalty from their wives. And his revenge to a society that insulted his sister, is by mocking them and exposing their double standards. By establishing a system that is same for man and woman.
That's Ram for you. As much as I understood him through Sita's eyes till this point. I hope the CVs will open up his chara more.

Beautiful analysis.

@shruthiravi I completely agree with what you say..
And not only here, but there have been many cases in the epics where Dharm is bent and maryadas are changed. And it is right too, for it is said in the Gita itself that

Just as time, Dharma too changes in relevance to its circumstances, but its base remains the same

We see that in reality no dharma is constant. It is up to us to choose which Dharma we should apply at a given time. When Raavan came as a Rishi to Sita, she could have opted to stay inside, opting for her Vachan Paalan but she chose to go with the Atithya Dharma. And anyways, both of these dharma's were the pillars of Raghukul, as explained by Guru Vashisht.

And thanks for relating this to Shantas situation so beautifully and showing the comparison between Sanskriti and Prakriti.

@Razia what we need to understand is the way men bend rules to suit them, to hide their mistakes, their crime putting it on women. Ram followed a code of conduct which the society set for women himself. If you take MB Panchali is called a prostitute. What is her crime. She is married to 5 men according to Vedic rituals.
Actually what does Kuruvansh do. Satyavati , vysasa is her child before marriage. Is her character questioned. Why?
Then after the death of vichitra veerya Ambika and Ambalika are forced to have sexual relation with vysasa in the name of niyog to get a child against their will. Sanskriti is allowing sexual relation outside marital bond to suit itself.
Kunti has mantra. She uses it before marriage and then get sons from 5 different devas. Or rather five different men. Is she questioned why she is calling different men or devas. No. She can use mantras to get child.
So to get progeny the way sanskriti wants it bends all the rules or maryada. Women is supposed to give the child whether she wants it or does not wants it.
And Krishna exposes this Kuru vansh ki reeti by making Panchali publicly marry 5 brothers. And she is called prostitute.
Same with Rukmini Haran. Bhishma takes the 3 princesses from Swayamavar venue using brute force, Krishna only takes a woman who is willing to come with him and does not want to marry the man her brother has choosen.
So if Sanskriti can take Prakriti against her will, why cant Prakriti choose the Sanskriti she wants and go with him.
If you see both Ram and Krishna you will see the way they expose the hypocrisy and everytime Lakshmi and Shakthi comes to help him in his endeavor.

One more thing I want to tell. Why does Sanskriti feels scary when Prakriti crosses maryada without its consent. Reason is Sanskriti always want to control Prakriti. If they want they will allow Prakriti to cross maryada whether at that time she wants it or doesn't wants it. In a way Sanskriti wants to take decision for Prakriti.
And what does a man like Ram do. He allows Prakriti the choices and in a loving bond Prakriti remains within her limits. She is not restricted, but she also knows her choices. Like Sita yesterday Raghunandan ke dwar se no one went empty handed. Note the point it is not from her dwar, but raghunandan's dwar. Her husband's maryada is of utmost important to her. Ram has not ordered anything to Sita, but Sita keeps Ram's maryada over and above anything. Even take personal suffering for the same.
Only a secure man can give a secure relation to a woman. A man who wants to control woman, a sanskriti that wants to control Prakriti is insecure and his insecurity itself will bring his downfall.

Shruthi, if you say all I also wanted to say, what will I say? 😆😆
Amazing as always 👏
This is where the Pandavas win. Draupadi is the Prakriti to their Sanskriti. They always gave her freedom of choice.
