Wow ladies!!!
Great analysis's by each and everyone of you!! 👏

What struck me the most in yesterday's episode was how the condition of women are still similar like that of Sita... Ages have passed, development has happened, modernisation has occurred but things still remain the same...

The so called customs, barriers that have been set up,has to be followed by a section of society..
It's so similar like our times, nah??? Whenever we cross the barrier, even if we have not done anything wrong,we are looked down upon by society,a 'kaala dhabba' remains... just like the lakshman rekha vanished when Sita tried to re-enter it,similarly once we cross the barrier we become totally vulnerable, there's no protection for us anymore

I remember once, one of my guy friends had told me that,''If a man makes a heinous mistake and he tries to repent and change for the good,he is given a welcome by everyone, but when a women does the same, her character is forever questioned''...is it so easy to blemish a women's character.

I realised the lakshman rekha is similar to our society...it will provide protection to you till the time you adhere to it's rules and regulations, the moment you break it's rules, the protection vanishes...it no longer protects you even if you want it's protection...that's what happens with Sita as well, just like the rekha, society keeps doubting over her and no longer protects her

Ankita di, you have awesome views! A woman is a symbol of all the human race, and her reputation means the human race's reputation. But, whenever her reputation is questioned, no one questions humans, just the girl. The society rules by rules, so whenever someone, especially women, break the rules, they become outcasts. The society today is cruel, but remember, God only made humans, we made the rest.

@Antika beautifully said. The protection for a woman the society gives is only till she obeys the rules set by the society, while a man can do a mistake or crime and then repent for it. No problem.
That's why I said, a good woman has to learn the art of bringing a bad man within the limits, within the maryada. That's the only way to expose him, that's the only way to blow away his defense.

SIYA KE RAM: 30/05: CAPITAL PUNISHMENT

Missed the first 10 mins guys... On a different note check yday's analysis on pg.77

whatta closure to jatayu's character... 👏

I loved all the three today. The way ravan chopped off jatayu's arms, my gawd!!! 😭

"Kisi din main aapki raksha kar saku." I remember the crux of the conversation of sita and jatayu's conversation.

Today jatayu kept his word.

I loved ravan today..

The terror...

What an irony. Sita detested the vahan once for spoiling the fields of mithila and today she's taken into the same vahan.

See the change of stances.. Sita is willing to give her life for the sake of revenge. And ravan pulls this in a very different way.

He's not a dashanan for no reason at all.

That day ram gave away their weakness of golden deer to mareech. Today sita gives away her weakness of "streedharm" to ravan. She can't come with him coz of her "streedharm" and BINGO!!!!!

Ravan does what is expected. He falls in the trap... If you say that is your weakness I'll exploit it don't worry. But he doesn't know that he has invited his death with it.

Hari lured mareech dat day. Today lakshmi lures ravan.

I loved the episode for this reason "Narayan-Lakshmi ki leela". Superb execution. 👏

The revenge of " sisters's insult" narrows down to "my insult". Whatta thought 👏

Once again a clear difference between ram and ravan. Will ram ever do something like this?

Sita throws off her jewellery.

Ravan advances towards her. She faints.

I loved the part after she gets up. Phenomenal..

She pulls out the weapon even when she lacks strength.

Ravan becomes alert and finds sita behind him.

She asks him to take away her life but he ignores her plea with an interesting dialogue.

" Death is not a punishment. It's an escape from punishment."

Whatta line 👏 spectacular!!!

The real punishment is to realize one's mistake every single minute.

And this abduction is going to serve the purpose. To make the trio realize their mistake every single minute.

I remember having a GD on "capital punishment" and today ravan's dialogue made me think only about this.

"Lifetime imprisonment" is worst and better than "hanging till death".

Asoka had applied this principle if am not wrong. I don't remember the name. I ges it's known as " Asoka's tark "

He believed let the culprit experience the terror evey single day. Let every day make him realize of his crime.

"Do not kill the bad person. Kill the evil in that person".

" people aren't bad. The circumstances, the thoughts are bad"

Eradicate these and you win.

And what happens here is ram kills ravan but he's not able to kill the "evil" in men.

He kills evil man. But he is not able to kill the evil in man.

Cmn to the title

Its capital punishment.

Whenever there's an undue increase in adharma, someone comes to re-establish the dharma.

And how?

By killing the evil..

Why thus cycle goes on? Because in every yuga, the evil is killed but the "evil" in mind is not.

The day this happens, the vicious cycle of dharma adharma will be over.

Peace and harmony are difficult words but sadly capital punishment is not.

It was a painful episode. But once again I am back to Prakriti -Sanskriti because that is what the episode displayed. Prakriti who has lovingly accepted the bandhan of love from Sanskriti is taken away wilfully from the place she has regarded her own.

We need to understand Bhumija is connected to earth, and what is Ravan doing, disconnecting her from the place she knows. With an equipment made by Sanskriti he tells Prakriti she is under his control. And Prakriti she has no clue of this thing, she doesn't know how this Sanskriti works. She looks down and see the familiar places going. She doesn't want this bandhan from Sanskriti.

Look what Sita is doing. Her hair is almost untied and she removes all her ornaments all symbols of sanskriti and throws it down. Now Sita standing in that Pushpak viman is the unbound Prakriti who is destructive force and we see this in Sita evidently. She doesn't think for a second of Ram when she tries to kill herself. She doesn't think about Lakshman when she brings that sword to her neck. That unbound Prakriti is destructive to herself and others. When she couldn't see Ram, when the plane goes, when she sees Jatayu killed and no way of her escape she decides to die. And we are going to see this desperate Sita for sometime, till the thought of Raghunandan comes firmly in her mind. I hope the CVs show that feeling coming into her when she touches the choodamani in her hair. Only thing she has not thrown away. Because that choodamani is the symbol of her loving bandhan. The bandhan she has accepted with freewill. And yes she need not accept this vulgar sanskriti who has taken her wilfully, but she cannot say no to her duties to the bandhan she has accepted. That of wife, that of bhabi, that of bahu. She cannot run away from those because Ravan took her.

And restoring that Gowri in her is Ram's task. Forgiving her mistake and accepting her again in his life as his wife depends on him. Because if he doesn't accept her, then Sita is gone, Gowri is gone, everything good in Prakriti is gone. Prakriti accepts lot of Sanskriti's mistakes but can Sanskriti rise upto forgive one of Prakriti's mistake. Can Sanskriti keep her with same reverence in his heart, before the mistake happened.

Will Ravan keep a Mandodari if Ram took her. Answer is no. But Ram keeps the Sita taken by Ravan eternally in his heart, not sharing the love he has for her anyone else.

Ram is the faith Prakriti has in accepting a bandhan with freewill. Using her knowledge, wealth and power for his betterment, for the betterment of his lineage.

Why our society have more destructive woman than constructive woman. Why there are Durga's roaming around than Sita's. Why the girls of today are running away from marriage, motherhood. Why the girls don't want bandhan. Because like Sita a woman of today has no interest in Ravan. She doesn't want to become Mandodari and do seva of a man like Ravan and a mother in law like Kaikasi. Woman of today is searching for her Ram. A man who can keep the soul in her. A man who knows and understands why the anger exists in her. A man who can dowse that fire by pouring love on it. By accepting her, respecting her. And then she will accept the bandhan with freewill and the duties associated with the bandhan.

Else we can witness more single ladies, more divorces and rapes and domestic violence will not take us anywhere as a society. It is time we sat back and thought. Where we are going wrong.

@DD you also got to Shanta. See we are on same page. When I was watching yesterday epi I was only telling one thing Shanta. The dialogues and my whole analysis cover this Shanta part only.
Ravan misses a lot of it. Yes he can harm her physically, but what about emotions. This is where Ravan loses and Siya-Ram wins.
