That's not the problem here.

The main problem is, no one knew where Ravan's lanka was. That's why it even took Ramji 10 months to reach Lanka.

Ravan's lanka was untraceable and most living creatures did not know where it was.

Not even the vaanar sena found out, without Sampati's help.

In SKR, it seems as if Lanka is quite easily traceable.

Not only that but it's kind unreasonable that a small dove can travel such huge distance that too as you said without being fully aware of it. It violates nature that a small bird can travel so much.
Moreover though we finally had Ram Lakshman scene I seriously thought it was rushed, it was good but rushed. They seemed more interested in showing Lanka family politics.

So basically, they had intended to use the dove as a menssenger service between Ram & Sita who are separated but it gets killed midway. So why showcase it so prominently if the dove ends up getting killed?

Also, it's female mate is still available for the very same purpose as the male has/had been performing, so...🤔

As much as I hate to say this, using a bird as a messenger service between separated family with said bird getting shot by the villain reminds me of the movie The Mummy Returns (won't go into detail here but if you've seen the film, you'll know what I'm talking about) - so, even that part is not an original idea from the CVs.

The vaanar sena themselves professed that only a handful of them could reach Lanka. Angad said he had the strength to go there but not come back, as eight yojanas was just to great a distance for him. Jambvanth said he could go there, but the leap might take so much energy out of him, he wouldn't be able to fight with anyone if necessary.

Only Lord Hanuman had the strength to cross the ocean and come back.

Is this mere Dove so great that he's equal to Hanumanji himself?

Thus the dove coming to Lanka lacks sense and is unrealistic.

If they wanted to show Sita receiving news of Ram, they could have used some creative liberty by showing Bhudevi appearing to Sita, comforting her and describing Ramji's pain.

That wouldn't have been unrealistic as Sita is Bhudevi's daughter, but the whole dove situation was unrealistic.

That Untracability of Lanka is what led to Rama asking help from Sugreeva , and Later sugreeva bearing the brunt of Lakshman's Anger due to unfullfillment of his promise to locate sita

Only Sampati and Hanuman had the prowess of crossing ocean at lighting speeds and Stamina

Okay one more question, when does Chaya Sita appear? I mean is it from Valmiki Ramayan or Tulsidas's Raam Charitra Manas? And why this concept??

Hence my question about the main purpose of Ram meeting Sugreev and the other vanars in this situation.

Showing a dove being able to possess the same abilities as Sampati & Hanuman, and then killing off said dove "conveniently" - esp with said dove's mate STILL around...😕

Its not in Valmiki, thats for sure

Its said that when Raavan comes to abuct Sita , She senses danger and prays to Agnidev , who creates her illusion , which is carried away to Lanka and real sita is spared
