I noticed that as well. 😆

Also, in the original, nobody came to Sita w/ any news about Rama until Hanuman did. But here, the lovey dovey couple (TM), who SiRa had saved in the forest by pulling one of the spouses out of the bush, had one of them come to Sita w/ bad news from Panchavati 🤔

If he can keep this up, why would Hanuman need to make his trip? Just to battle Meghnad & do the Lanka dahan?

Vrish, the Ravan-Shurpi scenes were so twisted and creepy, yet hilariously entertaining. 😆

This Ravan-Shurpanakha really share a unique relationship...never seen a bro-sis like them before, and don't think we ever will.

As for the discussion regarding Ram being a secondary character, it went way out of hand and I don't think it needed to, from either side.

The reason I said CVs should have spoken out against SKR twitter handle is because many people do believe what they write, as they named themselves the "official" twitter handle, so if CVs don't want viewers to take what they write to heart, all it takes is one tweet from one of them, either the director or the writer, saying that they have nothing to do with the twitter handle and not to take what they write seriously. It's not that unreasonable to expect that, or else people will take them seriously, and when they post things like "Ram is a secondary character", people will know it's not from the CVs.

I still do feel Ram is a secondary character in the show, because of the way his character has been handled so far in the show. I honestly do not feel they've done credit to his character, especially in the vanvaas sequence which was messed up big time. In the CVs' bid to give more importance to Sita, they have overshadowed Ram, and that's my opinion. No one has to agree with it, just as I do not agree with CVs that SKR is the first show to give Sita importance. I will not bring other shows into this thread as it's against the rules, but SKR is not the first show to give Sita the spotlight.

If SKR truly values Ram's character, then it would show in their storytelling. That's purely my opinion.

However, I really don't wish to go further into this, because already so much has been said that's unnecessary. Personally, I don't care enough to make a big argument out of it. It was a simple observation from my side, and should be taken as such.

This is the last I'm saying on this topic, but yeah, it's totally not worth fighting about, especially in a forum on Ram and Sita, the most peaceful incarnations of God there can ever be.

But Vrish, I also did not like Sita walking through the palace of Lanka willingly, before entering the Ashok Vatika. It looked so weird and against her character.

In Valmiki Ramayana, Sita was dragged through the palace by Ravan, with him showing off his home to her despite her protests, but when he saw that she was not impressed, he ordered her to be kept captive in the Ashok Vatika and surrounded by rakshasis until she surrendered and came willingly to him. Sita herself never set foot in the palace willingly. She condemned Ravan for bringing her there and spewed venom at him.

Here, Sita walking through the palace as if she was seriously considering which chamber to use was very odd and left a bad taste in my mouth.

Honestly, in this scene it looks like Sita is going through Lanka as if she considers it her home, with the happy family surrounding them. Totally against her character!

Okay I had a question. Is Jambavan from Ramayan the same Jambavan who appears in Mahabharat as Jambavati's father?

Yes, it's the same Jambavanth from Ramayana.

After Ravan was killed, Ram gave a boon to each of the vaanar sena, and Jambvanth wished to fight with him. When Ram asked him what kind of boon that was, Jambvanth said he always had a desire to fight with him, but he could never fight with him in Ram's form, so when he is reborn in another incarnation, he'd like to fight with him. Ram granted the boon with amusement. 😆

Jambavanth did not immediately recognize Lord Krishna as Lord Ram, until Lord Krishna defeated him. Only then did Jambvanth recall his boon from Ram, and recognize his Lord in Krishna's form.

It is never mentioned in Ramayana when Jambvanth was married, but in Ramayana it does say he is an aged bear, so he must have been much much older in Krishna avatar, but with the same strength. 😲

It is said Jambavanth also wanted Mahalakshmi as his daughter, so that he could get Vishnu as his son-in-law. So Jambavathi was born to him after Ram avatar. 😳

Ravan's laughter looks so dubbed. I can understand if the actor is not able to go full volume, but it looks really weird when the actor has hardly opened his mouth, yet we hear the laughter full blast...that is how obvious and unnatural the dubbing looks.
Also, please forgive me for not knowing who the male dove-turned human/devta is. But if he can actually fly from the kutir to as far as Lanka (superbird!!) all by himself, then surely he can also go back to Ram and convey Sita's exact whereabouts.

In such a situation -
1. What will be the need for Ram to meet Sugriv, Hanuman, et al?
2. What is the need for the vanar sena to actually go all out in search of Sita?
3. What will be SKR's version of Sundar Kand (apologies if that question sounds offensive)?

Simply put, will Ram meeting the vanars now be done only for building up the vanar sena?

Also, what bhool-bhulaiya was being talked about?
