Akampanan was the only asur left our of the 14,000 of Khara-Dushan arny. He runs back dressed as a woman and reports the destruction to Raavan as Shri Ram spares him. One of the reasons Raavan is first reluctant to 'punish' Shri Ram is due to this. Here Akampanan is who? 😕 he later dies in yudh kaand anyway.

The Shri Ram, Lakshman, Sita scene is the substitute for swimming competition story Sita tells hanuman probably. Madi's laugh is pretty. The scene was nice.

Why does vibhishan think that Surpi telling Raavan the truth will somehow change Raavan's decision😲 surpi is extremely rude to everyone.

I thought the Dandak van was named after an asur called dandak who was cursed.. did not completely understand the story explained in SKR.

The vaali sugriv saaga is still on. Vaali woke up finally. How long has it been anyway?

The writers are using Sita as Shri Ram's 'weakness '. Bad writing. Yes.. the basic premise was to devastate Ram by taking Sita away from him.. but call her his weakness.. what happened to the feminist writers?😉

I dunno whether Rama spared him or not, but Akampana was the first one to flee to Lanka and report to Ravan on the massacre of Khar, Dushan & all the other Rakshashas. That is what made Ravan somewhat wary of confronting him directly. Also, afaik, Akampana was no relative of Ravan: here, they describe him as Sumali's son.

Ravan would probably have let it go, except that Shurpi came after that and aroused Ravan's anger. Probably b'cos of Akampana's advice on how destructive Rama was, Ravan decided to take the Mareech route to abduct Sita in Rama's absence.

I thought that Dandaka was named after Danda - one of the descendants of Ikshvaku who was cursed

The cooking - I just didn't get how what Rama painstakingly cooked ended up as some brown water w/ a taste so weird that Sita couldn't suppress her initial disgust at its taste, b4 being amused at their cooking 😆

Precap shows Ravan holding Akampana in mid air stating that he wanted to hear about his enemy's weakness, not their praise. Akampana told him that Rama's weakness was Sita (which is what others here are now discussing)
