So true; i hope they do not show Raavan dragging Sita when he kidnaps her - as in some versions of Ramayana he cannot touch her- so he digs the soil and lifts her up with the ground under her feet. as mentioned anything is possible, but hopefully the CVs do not degrade the epic any further
I do not like the versions in which Ravan does not touch Sita while kidnapping her, because in my opinion it insults her chastity, as if Sita is chaste only if Ravan doesn't touch her, and the moment he does she is no longer chaste.
Sita is chaste because of her pure thoughts and behavior. She never had inappropriate feelings towards another man except Ram, and that's why she is chaste. Ravan touching her doesn't change anything. These versions in which Ravan "cannot" touch Sita were created by our society in order to justify Sita's chastity despite her apaharan, because in our society a woman is considered impure if she's been touched by another man. That is totally wrong, and Valmiki Ramayana proves it.
In Valmiki Ramayana, Ravan does drag Sita by her hair, and he lifts her up with his hands on her thighs and flings her over his shoulder before placing her on his pushpak vimaan.
Shocking? Yet it is true, and Lord Hanuman himself expresses shock that a patrivrata like Sita could be touched by an adharmi like Ravan without him burning to death, but it is explained to him (I forgot by who) that Sita is a great pativrata, and yet Ravan was able to touch her because she willed it to be so. Does that make her any less chaste? NO. Sita, a form of Adishakti herself, let herself be dragged and kidnapped by Ravan, because for the welfare of the world she had to bring about a situation in which Ravan would commit the biggest sin of his life (kidnapping her) and thus be killed by her husband.
Ravan touching Sita neither degrades her nor destroys her chastity. I hope SKR follows this version instead of the ones that have Ravan not being able to touch her.
