So I was saying urmila was perfect for laxman.. and what liked the best was that laxman knew she would happily accept to do anything to help him in his dharma.. in his kartavya palan.. This.. when they barely spent any time together.. yet he understood her so perfectly..thats y its said that sometimes a moment is enough to understand someone and sometimes even a lifetime isn't!
The best thing was everyone acknowledging urmila's sacrifice and mandvi pointing out laxman's sacrifice..
The one thing that touched my heart was keikayi standing at the door all the time.. the guilt writ large on her face.. wondering what new devastation her one mistake will bring now.. she's scared to come in... partly out of guilt, partly this fear of being able to now face a new situation she was herself responsible for, and also because she dint know if she's even welcome near the others. And, in spite of being so emotionally wrought, she still had the presence of mind to actually call kul guru.. she's an able woman.. no wonder she enjoyed even political power in court., she was indeed an all-rounder and excelled in each of her roles/talents - wife, mother (at least she proved a good mother to ram till the catastrophe), queen and a warrior. Grusha nailed each scene totally.. I am loving the way keikayi has been concieved and presented..
DD and Shruthi, I totally agree with the title and I loved your analysis on substitutes'.
Another thing that strikes me is that in life we often get what we don't want and vice versa.. as u all said, here:
Urmila doesn't like to sleep much but she had to sleep for 14 years.
Laxman being fond of good food and lots of sleep doesn't get either for 14 years.
Bharat - all he ever wanted in life was to stay with family, esp. his ram bhaiya but today he's all alone in nandigram
We can add almost every character in this list... but u get the picture?
And yes, LOVED, LOVED AND LOVED today's epi
