@Shruthi, Shathrugan would have asked for the man to be brought in provided the girl or the father had denied the fact that she spent few days alone with an unknown man. Please note that he was an UNKNOWN man and either the girl or the man had any interest in spending their life together as husband & wife, If that was the case, the father would have initiated the act of a wed lock or would have requested the king to help them with alliance. and if the man wanted to or willing to marry that girl, he would have volunteered and would have requested her hand in marriage from her father. Going by the sayings of the father, the person seems to be a gentleman and he also would have known the condition of the girl after she returns home as I don't think this would have been the first such case (may be first for Shathru).

If the girl and man were innocent and were not had any interest to get married, how can the king propose it? If he propose that when the girl claims that she is innocent, wont that implies that the king is doubting on her statement and to bury the case, he is suggesting to get them married? even they get married because the king proposed it, will they be able to live happily without any guilt?

Moreover, if the king does this, wont that set a wrong example to the society? Going by the rule, whether it is accidental or forced or willingly, if a girl happens to spend a day or 2 with a man, she will have to marry that man? Whether it is Tretayuga or kaliyug, wicked people were there always and wont they take this as a cue to put their hands on the girl or lady they lust? they would trap the girls and make them victims to get married.

So in the given situation, I felt whatever the acting king did was the best and even Ram would have done the same.

I can vouch on him helping the girl to not get married to the man without her wish , if the men from the society had proposed to get her married to that man with whom she spent time.

Lakshman's love for urmila has brought in his guilt.. " love" is complex... It's not easy when pain becomes a part of life...

And what ram told was totally in line with what I had blogged 1.5 yr ago..

I don't like it when genuine ppl are separated from their lovers..

And sita ram separation will make me cry buckets...

@jaya marriage was just an example. What I intended to tell was Ram would have tried some other method so that injustice is not perceived apart from checking on rajdharma.

See what you said is correct. Remember the recent Madras High court verdict which asked the girl to marry the man who raped her which the girl didn't want. This judgement was reversed in the end.

And even today marriage is seen as a honorable solution for a girl who is raped. I am not sure whether anyone remember it.

But around 10-11 years back there was a case where the FIL raped his DIL and some local community elders or kaap panchayat not sure asked the DIL to marry FIL and stay from the husband.

@Shirley saw your comment whether it is bad just in India where rape is an izzat issue. If you look at the track of developed countries conviction rate in rape crimes is not that great either in US or in UK. Only difference maybe they report, while in India it was discussed only behind closed doors. But Nirbhaya rape case bought the issue of rape into public forum. Yes it was discussed, debated, laws framed and even juvenile justice law amended. I would say it has helped in reporting the issue as many are coming forward to report rape.

@ Shruthi, I appreciate your answer and accept it also. But still I don't think Ram would have done any more justice than his brother to the girl.

If that is the case (sorry I am talking an hypothetical cause) that Ram wanted no one to be affected or injustice, dis he not do that to his Praja, his SIL. Sticking to his Dharma, ddi he not deprived Urmila her husband's company (off course he didn't invite Lakshman to accompany him but he didn't deney him also, the moment lakshman said he will not fight with bharath, if he allows him to accompany, he consented), by sticking his Dharma did he not deprived his mothers of the company their children, They are aged, what was the guarantee that they will live for next 14 years and will meet their children?

So for me Ram is person who was known for his Nyaya and Dharma. So he would not have gone against the State law. The change of horse sacrifice was a different issue altogether as he could replace the original horse with Golden horse but how can he replace girl with someone to give justice?

A wait, something struck. Did ram went against the prakriti (the prevailing rule) by stopping the Ashwamedha horse by attaining its moksha or heaven by stopping the process? Did that caused him to perform another Ashwamedha where he had to fight his own children? Did his Golden horse replacement was the reason fro his golden idol of Sita for the very same cause (Ashwamedha)?

jaya ...I agree with u that ram also didn't have done anything different got the girl ...but I think protecting the ashwadmeh horse and replacing it with golden idol is totally different ...from banishing sita ma and using her golden idol in yaga ...there is no correlation between the two ...ram just protected the horse life which was unnecessarily being taken (in name of moksh) and shruti regarding the marriage with rapist I think by doing or supporting this practice in society ...one worsening the girls situation ...we are giving the criminal a cleanchit to torcher girl both sexually and emotionally

Nidra devi arrives and am glad they kept everything mute till urmila slept.. Clever strategy for inducing curiosity among ppl who don't know this story...

Kirti arrives to wake up urmila..

He tells she's fine.. She isn't ill. But she also won't wake up.. She will get up when TIME COMES.

By his powers he tries to know what really transpired..

And we get every scene from nidra lakshman to urmila.

Nidra Devi's dialogue "prakriti k virrudh jana vinash ko aamantrit karna hai".

My gawd!!!! Yday I mentioned lakshman denying prakriti... Urmila will borne the effects..

And yes the word " vikalp" was very important.

They do find the way out.. Lakshman asks her to give his share of sleep to urmila..

Urmila accepts it gracefully.. Yukti's voice modulation was perfect!!!!

The flashback ends and vashishtha informs of the happenings...
What really made me 👏 was kaushalya.

This scene and dialogue takes me to the grihapravesh scene.. Kaushalya had acknowledged mithila ki putriyan and especially sita.

"Sita Tumhe paakar raghukul dhanya hua.."

And I had said that She'll acknowledge other mithila sisters also.. Today urmila earned it 👏

Today kaushalya acknowledges rajrishi janaka.. "Itna bada tyaag" "urmila"... The voice modulation...

"Roop, guna aur sanskaro ka aisa anokha mel sansaar mein durlabh hai"

Even that day snigdha had nailed it with her voice modulation. Today she did the same...

Now c, its mandvi who assures kaushalya that even lakshman is doing a tough and an inspirational work...

So final proof.. We aren't getting mandvi's outrage at all...

They ask vashishtha who had informed them.. And he says kaikeyi..

Shaaa...

The helpless looks will haunt me for a long time..

What I really loved was the connections... Shruthi am reminded of the episode which u had titled veiled and I had titled it as broken pieces of puzzle.. I had regretted so much after that 😆

Lakshman loves food but now he gets minimal to eat.
Lakshman loves to sleep but he is now sleep deprived.
Urmila doesnt like to sleep much but she chooses to sleep for 14 long years...

No Jaya what what Ram did with Aswamedha horse was in line with Prakriti. He protected a life. And that horse or the Aswamedha horse finally takes him to his kids.

If you see Luv-Kush hold the horse. I take it as challenge of existing Sanskriti. And Ayodhya is coming to fight. It is existing sanskriti fighting the change agents. Luv kush defeat everyone. They take Hanuman as hostage. And see the interesting part. Hanuman. He is a part of Prakriti. And it is through him Sita knows what is happening.

So before things go out of hand, Prakriti comes and stand between existing Sanskriti and new Sanskriti . I mean Luv Kush and Ram, telling them who they are.

They are a mix of Prakriti and Sanskriti. Prakriti and Purush.

And once the change over from existing to new is accepted she goes. Her duty complete. Ever prevailing Prakriti.

Ram changed a tradition or paramapara with an Aswamedha horse, Luv Kush will change another with the same Aswamedha horse.

It goes to show change is the constant. With every generation ideas of old and new will clash. Some will be absorbed. Some will be rejected. And every generation needs to ensure they absorb the right things and reject right things so that the balance of Prakriti and Purush continues, balance of Prakriti and Sanskriti continues.

Giving over importance to anything will end in untold destruction, un told sufferings which we are seeing now. As Sanskriti is given more importance. Some people with no idea of the exact meaning of things written in religious books kill each other.

Running behind money and power, knowledge is given secondary status leading to many family break ups,many suicides.

In search of quick fix of problems health is sacrificied. Last year Chennai floods showed what Prakriti is because for 4-5 days every man made communication system came to a stand still. Many woke up because once again unlike some remote place in Orissa, Bengal or uttarakhand, Chennai is the heart beat of India. The metro city. When it got affected people knew they can be affected.

What connection.. This is absurd, abstract and so unbelievable...

The time I saw shatrughna in coming up I jumped off the sofa dancing like a maniac 🤣

Wow!!!! Wow!!!!Wow!!!!

Shruthi,Shirley, jaya I believe half of our answers have arrived...

The whole episode was a prophecy of after sita's banishment.. What connectivity 👏

Till the sabha decision it was the ayodhya return, allegations and the banishment...

Today a new chapter unfolds...

What after banishment?

Let's start with the beginning...

The mother in the hut was more or less equal to sita..

I didn't hear the dialogues much.. The dialogue delivery wasn't clear I felt

But what I could relate thru her talks was her life revolved around her child right from the time he was in her womb. She couldn't live a day without seeing him.. Her boy was lost...

The scene direct connects with the end... Sita going back...

Juz like the mother, Sita's life revolved around luv kush. Here the boy was caught by the hawk. I had termed the hawk as GREY SANSKRITI.

And c the connection later on.. Juz like the boy was taken in the whirlpool of sanskriti, luv kush will be taken in the same vortex of Sanskriti..

The lady loses her kid.. It affects her health. Hope is diminishing..

Again, sita will choose separation from her kids to give them their rights. And this is in the last part... Will connect it there.

Sumitra kaushalya reminiscing moments with ram.

But the dialogue that really pulled me was "ram humare saath raha hi nahi na"

I was reminded here of MB. "Janmabhoomi" "karmabhoomi"

For greater good, one has to leave the town. One has to leave his birth place. One has to come out of the shell to think about everyone.

I was so happy with the flashback scenes...

Sumitra shedding some light.. Only knowledge and swadharma can do that. Kaikeyi realized her mistake. And we need to cherish dashratha's memories. We need to be grateful for everyone's sacrifice: SR, BM, LU, SK.

And the best one is to come yet.. Why did I say that the episode was a prophecy to after banishment period...

If am not wrong, kaushalya said how sita must be managing alone..

This was the master stroke... ⭐️

And then sumitra saying shiv ji will help.. And our dearest Hanuman arrives. Shruthi I hadn't much observed or noticed ram hanuman in depth, but the promo has made me think in different way. I had cherished Parth madhav in star mb. Now am eagerly waiting for ram hanuman 😳

Hanuman and the kiddo vanars 😆 adorable!! So hanuman carries them for sair sapata in slow motion.. But kiddos want it fast supersonic *vroom*

I don't know but here I visualised luv kush being taken by hanuman to their ashram after reciting Ramayana for first day.. Smthn like that.. If it doesn't make sense.. Leave it 😆

Here hanuman had an upper hand but what will happen when luv kush enter the field?😉

I connected this only because of the kid of atri rishi ashram. As I said I see him as luv kush..

Hanuman darling grabs the falling kid in his super long tail.. 😃

Just like anusaya said that the winds are changing..

Shatrughna shruthkirti it's the best scene I have watched till date.. 👏

Its poignant, ironical, deep and simply WOW!!!

I take this scene back to the episode on "gifts".

And my gawd!!!! Whatta clever,crisp and a clear contrast cvs 👏

Recall what shatrughna had told shruthkirti.

" aapko yadi Yaha ke kisi bhi parampara and ritiyon ke baare me jaan na ho, mujhse awaysha puche"

And c how the scene is materialized.. Shatrughna is answering but shatrughna himself is questioning...

I so so so wanted this guilt trip immediately.. And cvs didn't disappoint me.. Thank you for that 😃

And this was smthn that I had typed in the afternoon.. 😃 it's so unbelievable.. My gawd!!! Exams na hote toh os likh deti me pehle. *tsk* *tsk*. I had said ki let's wait for shatrughna. Kirti has to arrive in the picture..

And c my durbhagya.. Network lost.. 😆 tin one hand I had my book and with the other I was typing here. God indirectly by pulling out the network said beta padh le.. And that helped me so much today. *phew*

Shatrughna's every point was full of "prakriti". I love this boy yaar. Juz love him... Am loving the screen space given to all.. In this aspect SKR is doing phenomenally well.. Except Shanta . Am not gonna forgive them for this single thing ever... 😡

Shatrughna in a way knew what happened was wrong. Kirti counters his view. So beautifully.. 👏 " vyaktigat" aur "rajdharma"

Girl jhappi from my end..

Kirti has taken up sanskriti for the time being and shatrughna is in prakriti for the time being. Bacchi h toh kushaldhwaj aur chandrabhaga ki hi na.. 😳 and shatrughna gives a reassurance that he hasn't forgotten what his ram bhaiyya taught him..

I had put this yday. Shatrughna indeed has given the best possible decision. But that seems to be good for short term. What in the case of long term?

I had compared mudgal and the dhobi then. And shatrughna exactly brings out the same point.

Her father will always find my decision as injustice...

The girl will remain stained even after her penance is over.

Even when she returns the society won't accept her.

The punishment given to her even when "nominal" has spread the message that she was wrong and hence was punished...

And this is smthn long running.. I don't know but am feeling as her penance ends she may try to kill herself...

The day she kills herself it will be a prophecy to sita going back to the earth.

I don't think the girl will give any agnipariksha or anything. She'll succumb to the pressures and this is going to ignite the dhobi to a different level. Ram will gave no other option than banishing sita.

But what really took me off was kirti.. She was exceptional!!!

Especially her last advise "upaay" and most importantly "sita didi kehti hai".

We had this one discussion earlier on intuition leading logic and why is it Siya ke ram and not ram ki siya..

I c a similar thing here. And today kirti's one word " upaay" made my day. "Chahe jitna samay lage"

As we were discussing what ram would have decided.. I think he would have kept it on hold for a sufficient tym..

I feel he would have taken sita's advise and then jumped the gun.

Shatrughna's acceptance of fear was again 👏

He fears the injustice in the eyes of one will invite a bigger sacrifice...

That's where u are heading baby..

P.S: I don't know but I guess am getting my weird connection with ram. One of the reasons that I find is that may be I belong to the city of panchavati.. I belong to the holy city where ram lived. Where hanuman was born "anjaneri".
