Everyday I c some whooping stats on my blogs but no comments.. Its highly discouraging especially for budding writers like me.. I always want to have healthy discussions. But perhaps the statue loop opened with Sita giving the statue of Urmila to Lakshman.Let me just wait and see how it plays out in the future.
The color and the element of gold stands for both purity and greed.It is depicted in Ramayan beautifully...Ravan had built his Lanka with gold ,but his actions polluted its purity and sanctity...ultimately it was completely destroyed. Mareech used the golden deer to lure Ram and Lakshman away from Sita,that resulted in his death. Sita used her gold to leave signs or markings for Ram to follow.
The spectrum of colors can be equated with our thoughts,emotions and actions, all of them exist in us and how we put them to use decides our fate and our life.

horse-ram-luvkush and the golden horse with changing traditions...

Even I feel the golden statue loop has opened today.. It was very imp sita to give the idol to lakshman in ram's presence...

@Savitha read your post yesterday but couldn't comment. I simply loved the way you connected the colors.

@DD you have analyzed well especially what Kausalya says. Raja Janak ki kul ki kanya hi aisa tyaag kar sakthi hai. She acknowledges Urmila her sacrifice.

Another interesting point I want to note is that when it comes to Dharma Artha, Kama Moksha. If you see only Moksha is active in the palace with the combined knowledge from everywhere.

Knowledge has walked out, along with it both wealth and power. It is a clear indication from where Knowledge goes that place will not have wealth or power. But what holds Ayodhya is the 4th pillar which seeing the dedication of all the 3 brothers, want to ensure that what knowledge wants is accomplished. That is welfare of the state.

Now coming to the word Substitute DD. Can a substitute be as good as the original. If you see yesterday's sabha of Shatrughna you will understand no. Substitute can never be original. But in certain circumstances we need it. Jaya had put the points on proof. On a second thought watching today's episode I felt as a king Shatrughna would have asked where is the man. Ask that man to be bought to the court. See he was the missing piece in that case. I feel if Ram was there he would have asked to bring the man. Would have done background search on him and if he is a good person, having a profession and is unmarried would have asked the girl and the man whether they would prefer to marry. I am damn sure Ram would have looked at it like this if he was in charge.

Second the men spoke about the girl, Ram might have asked for a woman witness on how she perceives the girl. He would have asked for specific examples which can prove the character of the girl.

Ram would have tried everything in his power, asking the right questions, asking to bring the right people to defend the girl and give her justice.

And this is where the line comes into play " Winners don't do different things, but they do things differently". And this is also where true greatness and good differs. Shatrughnan was not bad, but he didn't think of any alternative ways which can establish the girl's character, except checking the rajdharma. And Ram is great because when he knew about the perceived injustice, he take an action that is unexpected. Banishing the queen.

Why this alternative method came into my mind is because I do it always. Because I know within the system itself I break things. I manage to find loophole in any theory in such a way that the right people get the benefits of that loophole. If I am convinced of something I will run around to get proofs so that it can be closed convincingly.

Yes a substitute can fill the void temporarily, but is never the same. We have learnt to live with it as substitutes rule our life in various forms. It is not only people, but everything.

We don't do household chores, machines have taken over, but then we have to substitute that with hrs in gym or excersises if we need to keep ourselves away from life style diseases

We have smartphones that take care of memory. And we need to solve puzzles if we have to prevent Alzhemiers.

We give our work to machines and for our own survival we need substitutes. Isnt that an irony

savita loved your colour concept... I never bothered that colours can be so much descriptive ...but I thought ocean blue represent urmila here free and passionate nature just like waves...regarding substitute I think we need substitute to not let the situation worsen because of void ...a substitute can try to keep things and situation from wrosening even more...(and regarding shatrughan even I felt his decision somewhat inappropriate [may be according to presnt situation]but he gave best possible justice to the girl according to treta yug and that time values he shown his trust on girl and also provided her protection) ...moreover he is a substitute of ram and conditions are not good for him... before sometime people were hating bharat and kakeyi for ram, sita and lakshman vanvas they think ram have to suffer and is subject of their selfishness ...I think that anger is still prevalent in them and he have to act accordingly to win back their trust and maintain peace and harmony in society but also he have to give justice to that girl ...he can't break any rule just like that ...people will have reacted differently if ram was present and do something like breaking that rule with providing evidences and circumstances in favour of that girl by making changes to assembly functions ...but again people trust him love him and consider him as their ruler their great king ...they were expecting him to be their king ...their great king ...and banishing him from the kindgom turned the things upside down ...they don't have that much faith in anyone as much as they have in ram ...they knew injustice is being done with ram by breaking the prampra of making another son ruler instead of elder one plus 14 year vanvas for elder son i.e. ram only because of amibition of kings favorite queen ...they need time to trust anyone in place of ram ...because they are common people ...moreover dshrath always worked within the limits of rajdhram...so shtraghun changing any rule just like that can make praja angry ...they will think ill of him ...whereas for ram they will try to understand his views because they have faith on him actually blind faith...they have already accept him to be their king ...even before his rajyaabkesh ...so I tkink substitute is a substitute ...he can never act like original one moreover generally conditions and circumstances are also not in his /her favour ...their main aim is to lessen the loss and maintain the conditions as it was ...people expect this from them ...atleast right then
p.s. totally my view...not to meant heart anyone's feeling ...and sorry for wasting your time if it doesn't make any sense to you ...I just wrote my feelings
