A good episode. Urmila accepts 14 years of sleep without any regrets for her husband. She was wearing the colors of purity and sacrifice and the bedspread is dark ocean blue. A good visual symbolism as we know that Lakshman as Sheshnag rests on the ocean representing the 'samsara', so in a way he keeps her safe in his eternal abode till he can come back to her. The tears on her eyes as she lay down could represent pride that she was helping her husband in his chosen path or maybe it could have been gratefulness for making it easier for her to cope with his absence.Till today I had thought that the loop that opened with Ram making that golden statue of the horse was connected to her post -banishment, but I realized that it could not be that straight a line today. He saved her life by not making the golden statue as in the 'horse episode' but by sending her away from Ayodhya. He both reiterated to her doubters that he believed in her completely and still considered her as his soul mate ,by making the golden statue of her. But perhaps the statue loop opened with Sita giving the statue of Urmila to Lakshman.Let me just wait and see how it plays out in the future. The color and the element of gold stands for both purity and greed. It is depicted in Ramayan beautifully...Ravan had built his Lanka with gold ,but his actions polluted its purity and sanctity...ultimately it was completely destroyed. Mareech used the golden deer to lure Ram and Lakshman away from Sita, that resulted in his death. Sita used her gold to leave signs or markings for Ram to follow. The spectrum of colors can be equated with our thoughts, emotions and actions, all of them exist in us and how we put them to use decides our fate and our life.Savita
