Wonderful analysis jahnvi di , loved the way u connected luv khush and lakshman .
Again today
Ram said while looking at sita that I am looking at my subhagya , he pointed of how she remains calm in every situation .
Will she remain when she is barnished and apharan .
I want to see how this loop is evolved .
Another scene too filmy though , the drape scene .
Now this can imply two things
1) like Prakriti sita is protecting the Sanskriti in the sheet of atmosphere , its giving the Sanskriti the basic needs .
2) sita is draping the cloth of confidence on rams mind .

Now coming to my favourite lakshmilla

Urmilla urmilla ... God no doubts I am a full Copy of her , I also sleep less and you know about my connection with water .
And now sleep is going to take the physical urmilla , so that the mental urmilla can help lakshman in the vanvas .

Hello Everyone!😃 I was going through the chats when I saw the Sabarimala issue being discussed. Well,me being a staunch devotee of Lord Ayyappa I absolutely loved what you said Shruthi.👏 I have been to Sabarimala thrice.I remember from my last trip how ardous the trek was.Though I cried badly when I got to know I can't enter Sabarimalai anymore,I accepted it because its a matter of both faith and facts. Ayyappan is within us,climbing a temple is not necessary to be united with him.His temple is situated within our heart.⭐️
There is this legend where Lord Ayyappan kills demonness Mahishi and Goddess Mallikapuratamma, again an incarnation of the Mother Goddess wishes to marry him.He says he wishes to stay away from worldly issues and serve his devotees single-mindedly.
And this has got nothing to do with menstruation.🤢

Yes Ayyappan is a Brahmachari but even much above that he is a Yogi.A Yogi who having attained self-knowledge rests high on the Sabarimala Hills which I personally believe signify the attainment of the Supreme knowledge by man. He is the Lord who urges his devotees to remain detached.

Again nothing to do with being against women!🤢 If that would have been the case he wouldn't be the Lord of millions of hearts, including mine.🤢

But this stupid Gopalkrishnan with his words on a scanner for scanning whether a woman is menstruating or not has totally turned the table and changed the meaning of the entire legend.and degraded Ayyappan!😡 All bloody politics!😡I totally hate what they have turned this entire issue into.🤢 In Kerala, women do not want to enter Sabarimala not because of this menstruation nonsense but because of their faith.

Also the 41-day vratam is not suitable for menstruating women simply because they need to remain healthy and fit.The hill conditions and the trek is equally tough. The forest route involves so many difficulties. These are also some of the reasons.
Its not that you can never enter Malai, you can as a child and after 50. Till then there are so many temples around.Of course going to Sabarimala is a different experience altogether, but a true devotee can see Sabarimalai even in his home.
But they have turned the entire thing into a feminist issue.😡 And the men..honestly no one is observing the rules properly thus ruining the sanctity of the vratam. But there still exist hundreds of devotees who believe, who follow.Because of whom the sanctity is and hopefully will continue to be preserved.

P.S. I desperately want an Ayyappan locket but my elders tell me women are not supposed to wear an Ayyappan locket.🤢 I believe if it is destined,Ayyappan Himself will gift me one.😃

The same thought ran through my mind, Janhavi. Today it sort was confirmed. See Sita and the child were behind him, He is aware of them but never glances at them but continues to do his work. After her banishment He would not be able to be with them but would be dispensing his duties as a king. A glimpse into the future, wasn't it?
@Charvi loved your analogy about Prakriti covering sanskriti, It is always the case isn't it? Nature is bountiful and looks after our needs and wants with love and an generous heart.
As for the Bharath- Shatrugan scene, it did give us a beautiful message. When we surrender completely to God and his will,'moksh' itself comes to us.This reminded me of a Hindi or Urdu couplet ...I think it goes something like this:
"Khud ko kar buland itna ke har taqder se pehle
Khuda bande se khud pooche bata teri raza kya hai."
Oh by the way ladies thank you all for giving me a different perspective on the Lakshman-Sita samvaad.
Savita

@eternal sorry I keep forgetting your name thanks for explaining your experience in Sabarimala. You bought a beautiful point. Ayyappan being a yogi. See I wanted to put this aspect yesterday itself, but didn't get time. Though I have heard about from my mom about the ardous trek and 41 day vrat, actually it was my husband who made me see Sabarimala in a different light when we discussed about it. He told Ayyappan is a Yogi and the men when they worship him or take the 41 day vrat they are learning to control their carnal desires which he believes men has more difficulty in controlling than women. That vrat is a form of self discipline for men. Once they take it regularly once a year and take that ardous trek, they will learn the purpose of life, will be more committed towards duties. And a man who is running a household has to be focused in performing his duties towards his family, society and also to the Gods. And this is possible only with a disciplined lifestyle. When the man of the house follows a disciplined lifestyle the family also will be disciplined. The problem of today is the so called Grihastrami men are not doing their duty properly, not taking accountability and are indulging in all kind of vices. And women in the name of copying men are doing the same vices.
My husband I guess has visited Sabarimala only once or so that too as a child. But he does the pooja of saligrama daily at home. That also he tells he is doing not as a ritual but more of a self discipline activity. As to do that pooja you should not eat non veg, no smoking, no drinking, no food before pooja is over. So for him that pooja is the Lakshman Rekha of self discipline.
To me that explanation seemed the most rational one of all I have heard on why that vrat, and journey is kept for Sabarimala. And why Lord Ayyappan is called Kaliyug varadha and why is he is the son of Hari and Hara ie Vishnu and Shiva.
Men in Kaliyug may indulge in all type of vices. So visiting him by doing the vrat as prescribed he helps men to destroy the evil in them ( Shiva stands for destruction) and the redeem the good so as Grihasthashrimis they can sustain the world in proper manner( As Vishnu is for sustenance)

@Charvi very nice perspective prakriti covering sanskriti, you gave me a good point in my thought process. Because what I saw in that scene was not just Luv-Kush but something more. Yes what was visible was Luv-Kush and Sita.
But something else caught my attention. See Ram once again carries Sita, tends to her hands and they sleep together, she keeping her head on his shoulders. Once again the phase after Agnipareeksha. It is Ram who carries her through it and then the joyous moments looked to me their blissful time in Ayodhya post vanvass.
Then when Sita wakes up hot sun is blazing at her, she is alone and there is Ram's angavastra on her. Sita tries to shield herself from sun and Ram stands in between his shadow covering her.
What Sita is facing is the heat from the praja of Ayodhya. The tradition, the parampara and Ram's shadow shows that once again Ram will defend her. Shadow is always for defense.
The angavastra is Sita's pregnant condition as when Ram asks it she refuses to give it back. She cannot give it and that angavastra is her solace or the child you can say, as we see she cleaning it, drying it happily. It shows her happiness in taking care of the child which is Ram's Nishaani for her. Or rather Prakriti taking care of Sanskriti's gift to it.
And the final draping. Once the kids are grown up, she has done the duty, she gives Sanskriti back what it has given her. Now Sita is Prakriti without Sanskriti once she hands over the kids to Ram. To me it felt like the final good bye. She has come from Prakriti, interacted with Sanskriti and going back to Prakriti giving back to Sanskriti whatever it has given her. The supreme nature, which only gives.

I am Lakshmi!😆 Beautifully explained!👏 You gave me a new perspective on Hari-Hara Suta.😃 Yep,controlling of desires is the basic motive of the vratam.😃 It helps one in leading a sattvic life and gaining self-control step by step. Yes,in Ayyappan both the destructive and creator aspects of Hara and Hari are unified.😳 Swami Sharanam!
