An answer to her prayers....

You may say that I am but a wooden, lifeless dhanush

And so, I have no heart, I have no feelings

But as I saw the wee little princess

I experienced devotion

and she had me on the tip of her tiny finger

And don't tell me that a dhanush can have no eyes,

For I saw her grow more beautiful by the day

Kind, strong, loving, rooted, yet free like bird

And don't you dare say that I am merely a piece of wood,

And have no mind...

For etched sharp in my memory is the day, she held me taut

To protect her father from the feared Parsurama

Fearless yet afraid, her divinity dazzling the angry Brahmin

If you think I am oblivious of the emotion called love,

You couldn't be more wrong

I was witness to her soft loving heart, which beat for the handsome raghuvanshi

A crooked and bent log of wood I maybe,

But I have blood, that boiled, the day I met the evil Ravana

And heard him taunt my beautiful Bhumija

And today, as I behold the brave warriors, the mighty kings
I wonder... Is this what it is to be human?

Is my adorable princess to be heart broken?

Or given to one so unworthy of her?

And let me correct all those of you who say I have no ears

For tis I who heard the jeers, the mocking laughter, the insults

And I also heard, what no one else could - her silent prayers!

And shame on you if you think I am just a lifeless relic of the past

Incapable of action, for I am determined not to fail her

No man, no matter how strong, how rich, or how powerful he maybe

Will lift me, except for the one she wants

So, I waited, I watched, I resisted and I fought

And I held firm for my divine child,

And then, as I despaired, and I hurt, and worried,

In He came, her eyes gave me the answer I was seeking

And at his touch - the gentle, firm, kind, just like hers

I willingly lifted myself, ready to follow his command

In her joyous tears and happy smile I met my destiny

And I beckoned to him, my life's work is done,

Release me o Rama, break me, so that you can protect her ... For life...

Yesterday, I already gave today's episode 10/10, because I expected a great episode
Boy, was I wrong!!!!

It was not great, it was beautiful and perfect and I think deserves a 20/10

Madirakshis expressions as she waited for Rama to lift the dhanush

As if her life depended on it

And her delight as it finally dawned on her that her prayers had been answered

Were spot on...

Janaks chastising the other kings, Lakshman's volatile defence of his bhaiyya were all very well done

But, the episode belonged to Ashish, he was simply superlative!

Kudos to the directors and camera team for the

sheer beauty of the scene when Rama lifted the dhanush and stands holding it high,

Looking stately and majestic, victorious but not triumphant!

Dekh toh liya hoga zAroor!

Great Arshi, an ode to the most important component of the Ramayana, the Shiv Dhanush that too from it POV.

Beautiful episode and Rama/Ashish was too good. From the time they enter to the point when he lifts the dhanush high up in the air.

the moment Vishmitra gave the chunaiti and then Janak chastised them, all the so called powerful kings sat with their tail between their legs.

Sita did a great job with her expressions, and Rama's smile to her before stringing the bow was beautiful.

It seemed from Rama's expressions that he just broke the dhanush (not the version we knew about accidentally breaking it while trying to string it). Why would he do that.

Ya a beautiful episode, and I am wondering too why he broke it deliberately. I am sure there will be a good reason that we will learn tomorrow. Till then, let's enjoy the dreamy perfect episode of today

So true each and every line of yours is apt...
I have seen many ramayan but they showed ram lifting danush as a toy with out any little effort which made it unrealistic...

But here we can see the hardness in his touch through his hand nerves and facial expressions it looked realistic...

The way he lifted danush was extra ordinary...hatsoff to ashish his skills reached a new hieght in this epi ..his body language his breath taking smile before breakung danush...oh my god it was a visual wonder i must say...

Then madhurakshi her each and every expr was apt..happy hope releif shock along witj happiness...her expr at time ram kept his hand on danush is as if her life depend on it...hattsoff to the actress...

Then coming to another show stealer janak...his emotions were beautifully protraid by the actor...his sadness angry hope after ram cmg frwd to lift danush then happiness with no bound...excellent actor he is...hatts off to him

Then laxman did his job perfectly..supporting bhayya...his anger is not wrong through that he is showing how much he love and respect his bhayya ..
Mainly his shout.. "maharaj janak" was beautiful...

All others also has done their job perfectly...VM sisters her family..everyone...by the way urmila is super cute..

Over and above all fantastic and worth watching episode ..

But today the show stealer is ashish...

In the original epic, Ram did lift the dhanush without any effort, and it broke in his hands as if it was a flower, because it could not bear the strength of his arms. Ram never intended to break the dhanush. He only wanted to string it, but in the process he broke it due to his strength.

Why is it so unrealistic for Ram to lift the dhanush easily? Is he not Lord Vishnu, master of the entire universe? Is any object in the world too difficult for him to move? God created everything in this world, every mountain, every river, every animate and inanimate object. Even in the form of a human, Ram possessed the strength of Lord Vishnu. There was no task impossible for him.

I haven't seen today's episode yet, but if Ram was shown struggling to lift the dhanush, or even if he had to put in effort to lift it, it is totally wrong because many accounts describe how he easily picked it up and broke it with no effort at all. It's wrong to believe all the extra drama the CVs add just because it looks more "realistic" to us. Is it realistic for God to struggle? I don't think so.

Ok, so just watched the episode, and nowhere did it show Ram struggle to lift the dhanush, lol. He lifted it like a "play toy" just like it's written in the epic. Only difference is that all the moments before it were incredibly dragged, and I had to fast forward it before I went crazy, lol.
