Ashish Sharma is awesome. Highlight of the day was Ram's final smile to Sita after holding the dhanush

And another was Viswhwamitra n Lakshman walking away leaving Rama alone in front of camera.

Hi Santhi,

After a long time...good to see you here.
It seemed liked that to me too. But then he should also be shocked like Sita and others that the Dhanush broke.

Agree Ashish is awesome.

Rama is nonchalant about it. He wouldn't and shouldn't be shocked.

Very well said
Took me a while but finally understood who the poem was about and it was bang on!
I honestly loved how Lakshman stood up for his brother. It's like do dil ek jaan. Someone insults Ram directly or indirectly unknowingly Lakshman won't take it, and then theirs Ram who is the calm one and knows how his brother is feeling and how to calm him down. Bang on job to both of them!
From what I know we will be seeing more of Lakshman standing up for Ram tomorrow right? Since ram is going to get in trouble for breaking the dhanush.

Arshi, beautiful poem and so apt. Loved both Janak and Lakshman. One standing for his daughter and the other for his Brother.

@Arshics what a beautiful poetry dear. As I read each phase of Sita passed through my eyes and then finally yesterday's moment. It was divine. Simply divine. When Ram took the bow and held it high. I was lost. Lost in the sheer magic once again. Not that I have not experienced this part in the Ramayan or the literature I have read about Ramayan, but the moment was breathtaking. It is said that reading or watching this part in Ramayan with serene calm mind can bring auspicious tidings. One thing I can say that this part in Ramayan infuse you with so much positive energy. With skill, humility and respect a man making the impossible, possible gives you motivation, faith and all the auspicious feelings which can propel you to do positive action.
And Janaki's smile in 8th or 9th I am not sure but I have studied a poetry where Sita is explaining her swayamvar to sage Anasooya, where she tells her feeling as that of a peacock who has seen rain when Ram lifts the bow. Yesterday Madirakshi gave me that feeling. Her emotions were exactly like that of a peacock who has seen the rain and ready to dance.

In the original epic, Ram did lift the dhanush without any effort, and it broke in his hands as if it was a flower, because it could not bear the strength of his arms. Ram never intended to break the dhanush. He only wanted to string it, but in the process he broke it due to his strength.

Why is it so unrealistic for Ram to lift the dhanush easily? Is he not Lord Vishnu, master of the entire universe? Is any object in the world too difficult for him to move? God created everything in this world, every mountain, every river, every animate and inanimate object. Even in the form of a human, Ram possessed the strength of Lord Vishnu. There was no task impossible for him.

I haven't seen today's episode yet, but if Ram was shown struggling to lift the dhanush, or even if he had to put in effort to lift it, it is totally wrong because many accounts describe how he easily picked it up and broke it with no effort at all. It's wrong to believe all the extra drama the CVs add just because it looks more "realistic" to us. Is it realistic for God to struggle? I don't think so.

Hi this is what I felt when I saw his taunted nerves when he was still holding the Dhanush on its bed only. It looked as if he is putting his all strength to lift the bow but that is not the case. He just had to pick the perfect location at which he should hold the bow to lift it and that was shown perfectly but the way they showed his muscle and taunted nerves, I was a bit disappointed.

@Arshics: Beautiful description. I find it very difficult to see god in human beings but u easily viewed the god in lifeless dhanush. Quite amazing. 👏

I just leave with it as more u analyse, many times the beauty is spoiled.😉
