Again it's not about the EMA, its about how he acted after the EMA revelation. Even basic human decency was gone when it came to Mauli. He treated her like trash that is the point. If after EMA he was sensitive to Mauli's feelings it would have been easier for audience also to forgive him. But he wasn't .
