Today, for sure, 100001% sure Mauli was going to urgently tell Ishaan she loves him. We don't know if she will ever get to tell Ishaan. But I am hoping she tells someone. Ishaan, Kunal, Dida, Radhika, the viewers (during an introspection dialogue).
But even then, even if we get the worst ending possible, her last line in the note and just the end of today's episode, I will be content that there was proof enough today to show the was excited and wanted badly to tell Ishaan she loves him.
How she got there - like you said, Gajra may never answer. But I'll just take this choti choti khushi with me for now and kal ki kal dekhenge
