Bash Nandini as much as you want for her shameless and deplorable actions, but please don't cross the line by using words such as 'prostitute'.
In the other thread, lots of people crossed the line by calling Nandini 's**t' and 'wh**e' and also going a step further to ask people to 'cover up' because "dressing skimpily in a conservative country is inappropriate", whatever that means.🤡🤪

We're living in an era where a movement against sexual harassment and objectification has started worldwide.

Let's not turn misogynist by abusing Nandini for her backless blouses and by association the women who prefer to wear short clothes.

Word!! That post was extremely uncomfortable to read.
One's clothes never is and never should be the indication of their character. Besides women like Nandini who did not even spare their best friend's home will do the same even if they were wearing fully covered clothes! It's the mentality not the clothes you wear that define your actions .

Celebs promote a diff culture wear diff dresses.
They go around with 20 body guards and have money and power to take care of themselves.
Common women imitating them doesnt do any good bcoz they will be harassed ...will have mental scars and no police and law actually protects them...on the contrary women going to complain may be more harassed or raped in police station.

You know there's a reason Indian dramas are joke. I can give you link of at least 10 videos where people are making fun of Indian serials. Reason behind it over dramatic background music, zoom in zoom out faces to capture even nostril of actors, not able to connect with characters because of dressing. They apply 500 kg make up and wear designed saree while going to bed is making it comedy circus.

What is wrong if someone is asking to dress up according to character? It's not like there should be certain dress code for everyone and every situation, it's all about your choice, but there is a way to dress up keeping the situation and character in mind.

Coming to Nandini's dressing, it looks odd from very first episode, there was something weird. But the moment someone dare to point it out, it was made into naari adhikar morcha issue. Then kunal started lusting looking Nandini dancing in rain, someone said Nandini should be careful with dressing when she's around pervert like kunal, no one said it's Nandini's fault if some pervert cannot handle his pant looking at her, but she should be careful with her dressing, again it was made abla nari adhikar morcha. And today when it was point of discussion once again, like previous incident they had no abla naari card because Nandini has crossed all limit of beshrmi, India was abused. People were feeling proud that thank God they are not living in India which is regressive and down market mentality, but then what are they doing in India-Forums? 😆 pack bags and leave India-forums as well. 😆

Initially I used to think that Nandini's dressing is a blunder made by writers as Indian telly producers are obsessed with colorful designer dresses. Even if bechari bahu won't have anything to eat at home, you'll find her wearing saree designed by Manish malhotra and 500 kg Mangalsutra. That's the reason people can't connect with characters. Even I assumed Nandini's dressing was a blunder, but the moment affair was exposed, Mauli herself pointed out the reason behind kunal falling for Nandini was her sleeveless blouses and nakhras to impress everyone. This was not blunder. It was planned move. Even Audience cant think of any other reason behind this affair except Nandini's saree+ nakhra, latka and jatka.

As it has been said countless times that Rape is not joke. Trauma and impact of rape is so deep that there are no words to describe it. Now just look at Nandini who is victim of Rape + domestic violence is dressing like a model who has to walk on ramp after 5 mins. I am not saying she has no right to dress like that, but naturally- victims won't wear it because they won't find any interest in those materialistic things. For an example, God hasn't set any dress code for antim sanskar rituals, even if you go wearing designer choli it wont affect the person who is no more, nor wearing white or black dress would bring back life in that dead person, but it's common sense to dress appropriately keeping the occasion and situation in mind. So Nandini's dressing is beyond understanding of viewers.

People could have said it without using any offensive term. That's true. But when we were discussing about dressing of a fictional character who is beyond pathetic, her supporters lost it and started abusing entire country, we are watching this pathetic Nandini everyday, how to not use any derogatory word? Those words were frustration I guess.

I am a silent reader of this forum and usually don't comment. But I hope you understand the gravity of what you are saying. Are you saying that women need to wear more conservative and "cultural" clothes in order to avoid harassment? Because saying that puts some of the responsibility of the harassment on the woman's shoulder and I think that is ridiculous. Your clothes don't decide you personality. They definitely don't decide if you deserve to be harassed or not. And there have been way too many cases in which women wearing conservative clothes have been harassed. India needs to be progressive not regressive

I do not agree with this at all. Every single rape victim is different, not one will behave the same way. For all we know, dressing up and makeup could be Nandani's escape from the abuse she faced. There needs to be at least something that will make her feel sane, and a lot of the times when you're looking good, you will also feel good. This does not mean she wants uninvited attention on herself. Cooking was another way of keeping sane and that was shown in the show as well. There's no rule book of how you should dress or should not dress depending on what you have gone through in your life. I refuse to accept that Nandani should be dressing how she is feeling inside.

Can i wear like sonam or deepika dress with a big open O in the chest area that just covers the areolar tissue there.
No.
i believe in dressing according to situation.
If an unknown stranger harasses you...you can handle.
What if you get harassed by someone where you least expect.

If you can't wear that dress, it is YOUR choice. If someone likes dressing like that, it is THEIR choice. In the age of #MeToo and victim blaming, it is a shame to not have the basic freedom of dressing the way you like without avoiding judgement. Stop blaming the victim. These people are the same people who say that the raped/molested girl was "asking for it" because of how she dressed.

I have never said a person who gets raped is responsible for it.
Rape is 100% responsibilty of the rapists.
Women can wear anything if she is comfortable .
Sorry but wearing according to place and situation is must.

Chirpyhappybird: You may not realize it, but what you said was very regressive. Please don't make statements like "women should not wear these because they will get harassed". That IS victim blaming.
