They apply 500 kg make up and wear designed saree while going to bed is making it comedy circus.

What is wrong if someone is asking to dress up according to character? It's not like there should be certain dress code for everyone and every situation, it's all about your choice, but there is a way to dress up keeping the situation and character in mind.

Coming to Nandini's dressing, it looks odd from very first episode, there was something weird. But the moment someone dare to point it out, it was made into naari adhikar morcha issue. Then kunal started lusting looking Nandini dancing in rain, someone said Nandini should be careful with dressing when she's around pervert like kunal, no one said it's Nandini's fault if some pervert cannot handle his pant looking at her, but she should be careful with her dressing, again it was made abla nari adhikar morcha. And today when it was point of discussion once again, like previous incident they had no abla naari card because Nandini has crossed all limit of beshrmi, India was abused. People were feeling proud that thank God they are not living in India which is regressive and down market mentality, but then what are they doing in India-Forums? 😆 pack bags and leave India-forums as well. 😆

Initially I used to think that Nandini's dressing is a blunder made by writers as Indian telly producers are obsessed with colorful designer dresses. Even if bechari bahu won't have anything to eat at home, you'll find her wearing saree designed by Manish malhotra and 500 kg Mangalsutra. That's the reason people can't connect with characters. Even I assumed Nandini's dressing was a blunder, but the moment affair was exposed, Mauli herself pointed out the reason behind kunal falling for Nandini was her sleeveless blouses and nakhras to impress everyone. This was not blunder. It was planned move. Even Audience cant think of any other reason behind this affair except Nandini's saree+ nakhra, latka and jatka.

As it has been said countless times that Rape is not joke. Trauma and impact of rape is so deep that there are no words to describe it. Now just look at Nandini who is victim of Rape + domestic violence is dressing like a model who has to walk on ramp after 5 mins. I am not saying she has no right to dress like that, but naturally- victims won't wear it because they won't find any interest in those materialistic things. For an example, God hasn't set any dress code for antim sanskar rituals, even if you go wearing designer choli it wont affect the person who is no more, nor wearing white or black dress would bring back life in that dead person, but it's common sense to dress appropriately keeping the occasion and situation in mind. So Nandini's dressing is beyond understanding of viewers.

People could have said it without using any offensive term. That's true. But when we were discussing about dressing of a fictional character who is beyond pathetic, her supporters lost it and started abusing entire country, we are watching this pathetic Nandini everyday, how to not use any derogatory word? Those words were frustration I guess.

Frustration is not an excuse for misogynist comments.

You can say that her dressing is not according to her characters. But the way it was worded was extremely offensive.

And only one person insulted India by sayig that there is a lack of educated people. That person was opposed by everyone. But unfortunately, some people started victim-blaming and saying how people who wear short clothes are skanks and horny. Some even defended Nandini's molestation saying what difference does it make if Rajdeep opened her blouse in public.

These are really disgusting and uneducated comments.

Why the clothes of a woman is discussed in relation to men only ?
Do women dress only for men ?
Cant the clothes be discussed according to place and situation.

Just like Nandini's dress is always out of place

Okay so she literally never said that!???
When did she ever talk about women dressing for men? You were the one who talked about wearing certain kind of clothes and your correlation of it to harassment

Indian serials dressing is a way too loud
Backless blouse is very common in serials
If the lady is in jail also she would be wearing "backless bilouse "
It had been that way
Every serial on screen is like a joke other than "true crime stories"
Nandini's sarees are beautiful and she is pretty too
It is the charater which irritates not her cloth

well the previous thread got closed.
i was saying in continuation from that thread.
You can call me regressive or all the names you want but i will stick to my opinion that dressing should be acc to situation and place and yes dressing does attract unwanted attention.

Isnt it exactly why rajdeep dressed nandu like that to get attention.
Isnt it exactly why Kunal fell in lust with Nandu.

First tell me why you tried to divert the topic by saying 'why do we have to discuss clothes in relation to men only'. YOU started talking about clothes and harassment.

If dress attracts unwanted attention then its the fault of the person who is giving that attention. You were practically blaming girls for unwanted attention.

LOL so if other countries have rapist, then India should follow them?

Btw that list means nothing. US is at the top because the rate of reported rapes is higher. India has a very low rate of reporting rapes. Please read up on this subject. India's 90% of rapes don't get reported and punished, whereas, in other countries rapes get reported and convicted.
