We are just kidding ourselves telling what we wear doesnt affect men.
Infact the whole system of decking up even at tribal people level will show ...dressing ,piercing all is done to get mates.

I think you are going with the whole "men will be men" mentality. The problem is rapists, it has always been rapists, and it will always be rapists. Even if a woman is walking around naked, people still don't have the right to rape her. If a woman does not affirmatively say, YES let's have sex, then you should never ever force yourself on her. (I'm only using 'her' pronoun but same applies to men in the situation). There should be no reason to think that men are this helpless creatures around women who they find attractive. They are humans with rationales and have the ability to gauge a situation where a woman feels uncomfortable in their presence. This forum constantly talks about how it's okay for Kunal and Nandani to fall in love with each other but the problem was them acting on it. We are demanding remorse and guilt from them and that too from two consenting adults. And now we're talking about a man taking advantage of a woman and suddenly it's because of the victim dressing a certain way? You don't touch someone without their permission, it's that simple.

Dressing and rape has nothing to do with each other. Rapes happen in villages too where people are covered from top to bottom in clothes. Infact its more prevalent there than in cities. The only difference is that they are not reported because of this exact attitude of our society to still blame the girl and boycott the whole family.

I think instead of telling girls to dress conservatively, educate them in self defense classes so that they are capable enough to protect themselves and other if the need arises. Make them strong so that they can never find themselves in that situation and are capable enough fight back the predators as well as the whole society if the need arises. Educate the boys on what rape is and how it impacts people, family, nation so that they do not walk that path nor allow anyone to walk that path nor come under the peer pressure to do something that is so horrible. Be open with them.

i had this opinion like you all before.
Not anymore
I m a hindu...so i cant wear a burkha...or i would have worn that.

its all bookish.
Its not about men as in human beings.
Its same in all species.
Just that we as human being want people to behave like human beings.Men attack in all forms.
I m not degrading any woman who would want to wear anything.
i m just stating my personal view
