m not justifying...it just that I feel SP's TRP system is more real..look at BARC..it only count some specific places rating...BARC totally ignore the ratings from south India( God Know Why )...where SP counting all the rating from all over India..

One channel following a method can never be Official

N also of hotstar is reason for low trps of SP shows then they would have never continued that n not take shows off air according to trps that r followed by everyone

Also online audience n TV audience have always been different in India n it will always be different

Common debo Every trp calculating system is a bit flawed n dnt tell me u r not aware of tricks n methods how ppl use hotstar outside india n that too with premium membership. Now how is this REAL trpsystem?

Anyways lets agree to disagree.

Whole trp system cant be changed for one channel,wen every channel is followimg BARC. Wheter it is flawed or flawless, truth is barc is the only official system.

About Colors copying SP & launching Voot...Well that's nothing to be proud of 😆 SP themselves copied Netflix there...It's not like that app was SP's own brainchild 😆 & If SP is copying Netflix, I dun get why Colors launching voot can't be called copying Netflix & is being called copying SP 🤔

About these working people watching on Hotstar thing...Isn't it like selling the same show twice? Like you said, working people return late & catch the show on Hotstar. But that doesn't mean when they were not in house, their family member wasn't sitting in front of the tv & watching the same show? & if their family was watching some other show on tv, it's hardly likely if they had been home, they could watch this show & boost its trp & if more than one member from a family have this premium account thing, then they are adding twice the rating? & if someone has more than one premium account, just one person can add more rating? This is very manipulative & when other channels are counting mostly how many tvs (not persons or multiple time watching by one person) are watching a show, SP counting this individual person's watching as rating doesn't really make sense. There is no uniformity.

So I feel, whatever system SP is following is okay if they are comparing between their own shows, but it's hardly anything official & they can hardly compare their shows with other channel's shows on basis of that.

If all channels are following online + TV viewers then I'm in as it's not at all bad but since only sp is declaring it's trp differently so I'm not buying it.

Tam then barc and next should be official aswell n not only one channel system.

For me shakti trp is 3.5 n I hope next week tak clear ho jae if we should follow barc or not?

Do you have any authentic/official source that states that BARC excludes South India from their count? As per the description in their official site, BARC covers whole India, even rural regions too. Now that's another thing that Rural ratings are not counted as official bcoz there are channels which run repeat telecast of offair shows. BUT! It's not BARC's fault. They do cover whole India. And in my opinion it's more reliable coz these datas can't be manipulated.

Where as in case of "online views", those data can be highly manipulated with multiple accounts or people outside India faking to be Indian viewers. If SP is counting all these as rating, their trp system is no way "real". But yeah...if they just want to compare the over all popularity of their own shows, then I agree it's a convenient method to do so.

Being a TRP Expert all i can say is that SP is FOOLING everyone just to show that their so called Nayi SOCH is working..!!! But you cant show random data to make your self look superior.

The thing is SP is published 15+Females TRP Data which will obviously show spiked ratings..!! While in overall data SP is lagging..!!!

Don't worry Colors is NO.1 Channel and Shakti is No.1 Show with 3.53 TRP

@Debo: Sayu has pretty much covered everything there is to say in the whole SP v/s Colors thing. It's pretty evident that SP is using all sorts of tactics to save their grace and as such we don't care because BARC is what is in the records and shall be counted. SO there's no point in discussing the legitimacy of the system because that's what everyone is accepting except dear SP.

Sour grapes...pretty much?

Lastly, can we just end this SP v/s Colors discussion. 😆 Whether old ratings or new, Colors is the No. 1 Channel and Shakti and Naagin are No.1 weekly's and dailies!
