*What terrifies a true Masala Dosa lover?*

Ask me… the true masala dosa addict. Making and eating masala dosa is an art. It is an acquired trait.

The most important rules to follow…

1. The dosa should be big and uniformly crisp till you finish the last piece.

2. It should retain its shape till the last bit gets over

3. It should have a slight fermented taste.

4. The filling should be thick enough not to sog the belly of the dosa.

5. Arey bhai.. Who asked you to add cheese in it?

6. Same goes for tomato sauce/cooked noodles on it…? Fusion dosas are an insult to a dosa.

7. Coconut chutney which does not stick to the dosa….It’s a no no. There should be a cordial adhesion between them.

8. Soggy or over thick dosas have nothing to do with masalas. They are only for amateurs who eat dosa with lentil powders or sugar.

9. Wash your hands (corona or not) and eat your dosa with your hands… eating with spoon and fork or fork and knife is a joke on our dosa's pride.

10. Dosas without enough oil and ghee poured when getting done is a let-down. Please be lavish in pouring oil.

11. Eating dosa with your mind on the smart phone… terrible. Please throw away that phone.

12. Potato masala with too many ginger pieces… no way.

13. Potato masala in a pink colour because of the addition of a few beetroot pieces… no way.

14. Potato masala browned due to the addition of chili powder, for want of green chillies… no way.

15. Do not change the shape into oval, triangular or conical. Make a round one and fold it into halves like the orthodox one.

16. Packed dosas or home delivered dosas which get soft, bent or steam wet are a big spoiler. Dosas should be eaten straight from the stove to the plate… crisp and hot.

And most importantly…

Eat it in style from the sides moving slowly to the centre where the potato masala is waiting. Do not jump into the centre like Narasimha tearing the belly of Hiranyakashipu.

Dosas are to be eaten decently not with two hands or brutally tearing into the middle of the elegant dosa.

The moment Ravi finished saying Ek Nai Paheli was a remake of Aboorva Raagangal, Partha jumped up squealing in delight like a kid who has just been given his first PlayStation or x-box console and exclaimed in ecstasy, ' Finally, light, at the end of the tunnel. At last, we have something positive and great to talk about.'

Ravi and Daksha looked at each other and went " Uh oh! " and before Gayatri could even ask what was going on, Partha flung his shirt tails right and left and stood with his hands on his hips with angry eyes and a raised right eyebrow.

He lifted his right hand and was about to say something when two heavy cushions slammed into his face and nearly knocked him out. Cursing in Tamil, he glared at Ravi and Daksha as they laughed loudly and high-fived each other.

' What is going on with Partha and what is it that I said to have set him off?' Gayatri asked Daksha and Ravi with a slight smile replied, ' The riddle, Ek Nai Paheli was the name of the film directed by K.Balachandar in 1984. But, it was only a remake of the original which was released in Tamil nine years earlier and in the year 1975.'

' Okay. So what? ' pausing, Gayatri thought and then said, ' It's been ages since I have been to the theatres and I am not sure but I think, Aamir khan's Ghajini was my last.'

Daksha and Partha who were certified, movie buffs and crazies, let out loud and dramatic gasps of shock and horror and looked at each other and Gayatri whispered her confession with her head bent, ' It's not fun to go on your own to see a film is one reason. But, the lack of good stories and characters in today's films is another reason.'

Looking up, ' It's the same situation in Hollywood. Movies today are all about action, superheroes and CG work.'

' Don't feel bad about it Gayatri for our Master here has you beaten even at this point ' Daksha announced and Partha joining his wife, exclaimed loudly, ' Yes, Gayatri. What Ducks said is true for Ravi has not stepped into a theatre since Padayappa was released in 1999.'

Then wearing a funny expression Partha continued, ' The only reason he even came with me to see that film was that his favourite actor, the late Sivaji sir was in it and playing the father to my own favourite actor, the one and only superstar, Mr Rajinikanth aka Sivaji Rao Gaekwad.'

Ravi smiled slightly, ' That is the reason, he is the reason why Partha jumped up suddenly and walked in that particular manner.'

Gayatri's shoulders lifted in sync with her eyebrows as they came down in confusion as she asked, ' What's my question, rather riddle got to do with Actor Rajinikanth?'

Partha's face filled with pure bliss and his voice was filled with rapture and devotion as he said, ' Ek Nai Paheli was a remake of Aboorva Raagangal and it was in that film that my hero was introduced to the whole world as Rajinikanth.'

Then they all watched as he patted his cheeks and apologized several times and said with pride in his voice and pride in his eyes, ' Superstar Rajinikanth.'

The bolster that crashed into Partha's face was heavy enough and arrived so suddenly that it knocked him off his feet and laid him flat on the ground, and Daksha patting him lovingly, said, ' Good boy. Good dog. Stay down and stay quiet or else the next thing will be this ' and raised something and in the darkness, Partha saw the flask full of coffee in her hands and squeaked, ' Okay. I am shutting up. Peace ducks.'

Ravi Kumar looked at Partha and Daksha and both of them knew that enough was enough and that the situation was far more serious than what they had thought it to be and then he looked at Gayatri.

' I am sorry Gayatri but my answer to your second question and the so-called riddle has to wait and wait until I am done answering your first question concerning the killing of Vali, the monkey king by Lord Ram.'

Gayatri looked at him sharply and she blustered and blurted, ' There is no need for that answer and I will be happy if you just answer my second question.'

' Why?' Ravi asked and Daksha too asked but both did so for different reasons.

Daksha asked out of curiosity for she knew nothing of what was going on in Gayatri's head while Ravi asked because he knew something was going on in her head and he also knew for certain that both the questions were somehow connected. The only thing left now was to find out the connection and what their connection was with Gayatri's strange behaviour.

“The most beautiful people we have known are those who have known defeat, known suffering, known struggle, known loss, and have found their way out of the depths. These persons have an appreciation, sensitivity, and understanding of life that fills them with compassion, gentleness, and, loving concern. Beautiful people do not just happen.”

When two people have lived together for a long time, they fall into familiar patterns and with that comes a train of thought whose track most often than not leads to similar stations of likes and dislikes. ( end of that).

" I was just thinking that and you said it. You took the words out of my mouth. " These are, exclamations and declarations of people who have lived with each other for a long time and love one another deeply. See, what is happening here, people. Our basic human need to understand everything urges us to give everything meaning and a purpose and then glorify and praise it.

It is next to impossible to see, know, feel and understand completely what another person is thinking and experiencing. Even the closest of close lovers who share an incredible wavelength will fail and fall at this altar of a challenge. Even the mother and her child who share the most intimate and purest form of love will stumble to read exactly what is in each other's minds.

But, the human mind can be deciphered and understood to a certain extent by the reflections and shadows it casts out. Through speech, actions and reactions and patterns. All one has to do is observe and note every detail of the object and subject you are observing.

Sadly, what most of us do is see. Just see and not observe. Watching is superficial without putting in any extra effort from your side. You are seeing without involving much of your mind and energy. In observation you are very careful, you pay attention to even the smallest of details.

To give you an example that will make you better understand what I am going on about, I give you the best and the master of Observation himself. Mr Sherlock Holmes himself.

In "A Scandal in Bohemia," Holmes instructs Watson on the difference between seeing and observing:

"When I hear you give your reasons," I remarked, "the thing always appears to me to be so ridiculously simple that I could easily do it myself, though at each successive instance of your reasoning, I am baffled until you explain your process. And yet I believe that my eyes are as good as yours."

"Quite so," he answered, lighting a cigarette, and throwing himself down into an armchair. "You see, but you do not observe. The distinction is clear. For example, you have frequently seen the steps which lead up from the hall to this room."

"Frequently."

"How often?"

"Well, some hundreds of times."

"Then how many are there?"

"How many? I don't know."

"Quite so! You have not observed. And yet you have seen. That is just my point. Now, I know that there are seventeen steps because I have both seen and observed."

Holmes had taught himself to observe on a regular, almost superhuman basis. For him, taking note of the myriad inputs from his surroundings was a matter of course. He was, never not observing, never not in touch with his environment. He had mindfulness down to an art. Most of us aren't as careful.

All four who sat in the darkness of cottage No.7 were highly intelligent people and their intelligence can be safely described as above average. You, my dear readers I am sure will immediately arrange them in descending order. Top to bottom starting with Ravi, Daksha, and Gayatri and ending with Partha.

But, you will be surprised to know that Partha who most will place last in the list of four in spite of all his comic blunders and goofy persona is a very smart and intelligent man and if one were to ask Ravi our story's hero about it, he would without hesitation say yes.

Intelligence is a word. One word but with so many meanings in it. You could be the most intelligent person in your group but that won't get you brownie points if you happen to piss everyone off by flaunting your intelligence and by making people feel like crap by rubbing your knowledge all over them while you rub their noses in dust and dirt.

Intelligence and knowledge are all good but bad and sad if one lacks wisdom.

The theory of multiple intelligences was first proposed by Howard Gardner in his 1983 book “Frames of Mind”, where he broadens the definition of intelligence and outlines several distinct types of intellectual competencies. Gardner developed a series of eight inclusion criteria while evaluating each "candidate” intelligence that was based on a variety of scientific disciplines. He writes that we may all have this intelligence, but our profile of this intelligence may differ individually based on genetics or experience.

Howard Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences proposes that people are not born with all of the intelligence they will ever have.This theory challenged the traditional notion that there is one single type of intelligence, sometimes known as “g” for general intelligence, that only focuses on cognitive abilities.

To broaden this notion of intelligence, Gardner introduced eight different types of intelligence consisting of: Linguistic, Logical/Mathematical, Spatial, Bodily-Kinesthetic, Musical, Interpersonal, Intrapersonal, and Naturalist.

Gardner notes that the linguistic and logical-mathematical modalities are most typed valued in school and society.

Gardner also suggests that there may other “candidate” intelligence—such as spiritual intelligence, existential intelligence, and moral intelligence—but does not believe these meet his original inclusion.

All four who sat in the darkness of cottage No.7 possessed two or more of the above-mentioned intelligence but only one among them possessed all of it and the additional candidate's intelligence.

He was a master in the true sense and literally a master by profession and his name is Ravi Kumar. Gayatri mentioned her name meant enlightenment and that she finally understood what her name meant. But Ravi had known from a young age that his name meant the sun and its light and that his purpose was to bring light to all those who needed it and were deprived of it. Light of love. Light of kindness and light of understanding. That was one of the main reasons for him having chosen to became a teacher and through that a parent to all his students and a sort of guardian angel to all his friends and family members.

With that light and wisdom burning bright in his soul, Ravi smiled kindly at Gayatri who in turn stared back sadly and remembered again and again what her stepmother had told her all those years ago in the hospital where she had been admitted after suffering a near fatal miscarriage after having been attacked by her ex-husband Siddarth.

Gayatri looked at Madhu and said, ' Thank you for being here and thank you for everything, Madhu. I don't know how you can be so kind and gentle with a person who has treated you so badly.'

Madhu smiled and replied, ' Gayatri, your father's blood runs in you. But, more than that, I know and have known that you are really a gentle soul and it is only out of pain and insecurity that you lashed out at me when I and your father got married.'

Gayatri started crying and Madhu had gotten up and hugged her gently and rocked her like a mother would rock her baby.

' How is it possible, Madhu? How can you be so kind and so gentle despite all that you have gone through in your life?'

Stepdaughter and stepmother gazed at each other and Gayatri had asked her, ' What gives you so much strength, Madhu? Where does it come from, all this immense patience and energy? '

Gayatri remembered now what Madhu's words really meant when she had said it back then.

' I carry a light in my soul, Gayatri. I carry a sun that burns bright in my heart and will do for eternity. Ravi ki kirano mere saath hai.'

In the darkness of cottage No 7, Gayatri looked at Ravi and now knew what and who Madhu had meant when she had used the word Sun all those years ago in that Mumbai hospital. For in Sanskrit, the sun is addressed as Ravi and Kirano meant rays of light. Sunlight.'

The boy who went into the dark and came back as light and now even as darkness approaches he will remain in the light as light itself.

“When we honestly ask ourselves which person in our lives means the most to us, we often find that it is those who, instead of giving advice, solutions, or cures, have chosen to share our pain and touch our wounds with a warm and tender hand. The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion, who can stay with us in an hour of grief and bereavement, who can tolerate not knowing, not curing, not healing and face with us the reality of our powerlessness, that is a friend who cares.” Henri Nouwen

May we never hate each other. The Katha Upanishad

Youth and beauty vanish, life and wealth vanish, name and fame vanish, and even the mountains crumble into dust. Friendship and love vanish. Truth alone abides.

'The first bow that I tried to make broke into two pieces the moment I tried flexing it. The same thing happened several times before I realized that dry twigs and limbs cast away by the trees did not make for a good bow. It took me a long time before I perfected my bow-making skills ' Ravi said and smiling looked at Gayatri and continued, 'I was not alone in doing that for almost all boys born in this ancient land went about fashioning crude versions of bows and arrows and happily enacting characters from our great epics. But, when it comes to the bow and arrow almost all kids will utter two names, " Lord Ram and Arjun " for they remain famous to this day even after having first appeared thousands of years ago.'

There is no proper and solid proof that a person like Lord Ram ever existed and it is the same with Jesus Christ and maybe with several other mythical and spiritual leaders. Yet, today, 2.4 billion people are Christians, 1.9 billion people are Muslims and 1.2 billion people are Hindus. Why, is that? '

He looked up and looked into all their eyes and saw that they were glued to his every word and movement and smiling slightly said, ' Faith, Belief and Devotion like Love cannot be seen, heard or felt by one's physical self and can only be experienced in their souls. When I was young, I went about making bows and arrows imagining myself as a great warrior and archer and then after hearing the speech of Variyar swami in Madurai, I realized that true strength and great willpower came not from the physical body but from the abstract and unseen mind. It was through the stories about Lord Ram and Hanuman that I learnt about the majestic and eternal power that comes from truth, honesty, faith and complete devotion.

We regularly go to a temple to worship and pray to God knowing fully well that the stone will not speak or move and yet almost all of us Hindus do the same from birth to death. If it is not possible to go to a temple, then we stand in front of a photo or just a paper calendar and carry on with God. Why is that? Belief, faith and devotion in a higher power and that it exists in some form or another.'

He looked at Gayatri, ' your first question was about the death of Vali and my thoughts about it and if I thought Lord Rama was justified in killing Vali, the monkey king and that too by shooting an arrow into his chest from hiding behind a tree? and my answer is yes.'

Partha looked eagerly at Gayatri expecting a reaction but was left feeling confused and disappointed seeing no reaction from her and instead saw a ghost cast ghostly shadows in her eyes.

Not knowing what to do or say, he looked at Daksha who took up the reins and confronted Ravi, ' How can you justify that act? How can anyone justify killing someone from behind that simply means murder? Plain, cold-blooded murder that is tantamount to an execution of a person without even giving him or her a chance to state their case.'

Partha looked triumphantly at Ravi and thought, ' finally, our man has been cornered and that too by his own words.'

Ravi's voice was clear in its baritone and betrayed no doubts if any as he spoke his mind, 'Lord Ram in my humble opinion was right in killing Vali and I can prove it using two laws. One laid down by man and the other laid down by this universe for all eternity.'

Taking a deep breath and exhaling it slowly, Ravi looked at Gayatri pointedly for a long moment and then at Daksha and finally stopped at Partha and asked, ' what will you do if your wife has been kidnapped by someone who is much stronger than you and has been raping her for a long time? what will you do when you have tried to do your best and fight but were brutally beaten up, insulted and left to die? '

Partha without even realizing that he was the one who was doing the talking, growled and roared his reply to Ravi.

' I would kill that person who even dared to think of my wife. But if he did hurt her, then I will do whatever it takes to kill him and I will chop up his body and feed the pieces to the crows.'

Ravi smiled and looked at Daksha who nodded, ' My answer is the same as Partha's, master.'

' This is exactly what Lord Ram did to Vali who after having beaten up Sugriva, his own brother, then proceeded to take his sister-in-law Ruma for his own and placed her in his own quarters. He did this knowing full well that what he was doing was a grave sin and an act of pure evil. Even if there was bad blood between Vali and his younger brother Sugriva, there was no need for him to show his anger and hatred on a woman and that too who he knew very well was his own sister-in-law.'

' Enough. I have heard enough. Please, stop ' Gayatri's voice pleaded and Ravi stopped and looked at her and asked, ' Why do you want me to stop when I have not finished answering your questions?'.

Daksha who had no clue as to what was going on between Ravi and Gayatri, said, ' Sorry Gayatri but I want Ravi to finish what he has to say. This is a very important question for which every Tom, Dick and Harry has an opinion and I myself have heard many arguments about this part in Ramayana. So, let Master sir finish saying his opinion on this issue.'

Partha joined her and said, ' Gayatri, let Ravi say speak his mind for it is not only him that is doing the talking but a master and a bloody intelligent one at that.'

Ravi shrugged his shoulders and shaking his head said, ' I don't know and will never understand why people make such a fuss about this killing?'

Daksha's voice changed in tone as she asked angrily, ' Ravi, if the arrow that killed Vali had been launched by Sugriva instead of Lord Ram, it would make sense to me and probably to others for then it would be seen as revenge for what Vali did to his wife Ruma. But, who gave Ram the authority to do the killing?'

Ravi looked at Partha even though the question had been asked by Daksha and asked him if he had any answer to his wife's question.

Partha hurriedly shook his head and looked at Daksha who was glaring at him and whispered, ' Better you than me, boss. This is between you and the ladies.'

Ravi could not help but smile and say, ' Brutus ' and proceeded to answer Daksha.

' Ducks, you have forgotten two important aspects of who Lord Ram really was when he killed Vali.'

' Oh! What are those important aspects?'

' He was the head of Kosala Kingdom and the kingdom of Kishkinda fell under his purview and even Vali admits this as he lays dying. Even if Lord Ram was in exile, his brother Baratha took his slippers as a symbol with which to rule the kingdom until his return and coronation. So, Lord Ram as a king and as a prince of the Kosala Kingdom had the moral and judicial authority to question, judge and in the end, deliver punishment on all those who lived under his kingdom's rule.

Then you have the most important fact in this story which states that Lord Ram is an avatar of Lord Vishnu himself and had come down to earth for a specific reason which was to kill Raavan.'

He looked at Daksha, ' All those who believe in Jesus know that he was the son of God and that he willingly let himself be crucified and suffer a horrible death for the sole reason of saving humanity from their sins and also to prove to humans that God and faith are the only ways for eternal peace.'

Returning his gaze to Gayatri, ' All the great epics from all over the world speak about Two virtues and they are Dharma and truth. When you weigh them and measure them against any sin, they will always win out.

I want to end this first question by saying that there is no greater sin than molesting a woman and that too who is another's wife and against her own wishes. This is what was proved by killing Vali and Lord Ram does the same thing by Killing the demon king Ravan for kidnapping Sita, his own wife.'

His voice changed tone as it became serious when he said, ' Your first question was about the actions of God and I have been very clear as to what my thoughts are about it. But, your second question rather, the riddle titled " Ek Nai Paheli " is a more complicated one and I fear I might not have any clear-cut answers about it.'

Daksha feeling confused asked, ' Why Ravi? what is so confusing about this riddle which is in fact just a movie and a remake at that?'

Partha took it upon himself to answer the question that his wife had asked for his best friend and he did so in a grim voice.

' Because the movie plot concerns four people. Father and son and mother and daughter.'

Daksha looked at him curiously and asked incredulously, ' So what?'

' So what? ' Partha repeated her words and looked at her in disbelief, ' Baby, that movie is about a father falling in love with a younger woman the daughter while his son falls in love with the younger woman's mother.'

' WTF! OMG! How did I miss this film? Wow! You mean to say that director K.Balachandar actually made this film?'

Partha nodded and said, ' Yes. Ek Nai Paheli means a new riddle and it was a remake of the film Aboorva Raagangal which itself means " Rare melodies " although in my opinion it should be called a strange melody.'

Daksha stared openmouthed at Partha and gasped ' But how did he have the guts to make such a controversial film and that too way back in 1975? What happens in the end? Do they marry each other?'

Gayatri's voice felt like a sharp knife slicing through soft cloth as it cut through the darkness and went for Ravi's soul.

' Master. You have to answer this question for your answer will answer many other questions that I have in my mind.'

“So, it’s true when all is said and done, grief is the price we pay for love.” E.A. Bucchianeri

' Master. You have to answer this question for your answer will answer............................'

In the darkness of cottage no.7 in Whispering Rocks, these words were heard by Ravi, Partha and Daksha and also heard by Gayatri herself as they rippled all around her mind like those ripples in a pond made when a stone is cast into it. The stone splashes generating waves that ripple away from the point of impact and then after crashing into the banks, return back again to the point where they started.

Gayatri heard her own words as a desperate plea, a cry for redemption and a release from the immense torment of guilt that she was feeling. Partha heard it and thought that Gayatri had a point and secretly prayed that Ravi's answers would somehow calm her down and return her agitating soul to her normal, joyous and beautiful self. Daksha was happy that Gayatri had demanded an answer from Ravi to the question posed but in her mind she was at the same time trying to make sense as to how the answer would satisfy or address Gayatri's obvious problems and doubts that were obvious from her rather foul mood.

Ravi heard her clearly and with a heart full of love and empathy for Gayatri.

' I will answer your question and I hope with all my heart that it satisfies the need from where this strange question has risen. But, if my answer has the opposite effect, then I apologize in advance for whatever discomfort and pain that it may cause you.'

He stopped and looked at her with kind and loving eyes, ' I love you and I will continue to love you, cherish you and protect you no matter what happens or comes my way.'

' Don't. Please don't wish for anything right now or you and I will be really sorry for you having done so. Just answer the question and put us all out of this misery and miserable situation.'

' " Answer the question " Ravi echoed her words in a voice that was tinged with both sarcasm and disbelief and looked at Gayatri, ' This question was asked of a much greater and wiser man than me and who people in his days worshipped as a God and he himself was lost for an answer and finally accepted defeat.'

Partha's face filled with happiness for he knew that a story was coming and he and Daksha knew how good Ravi was at story-telling. He was the only person they were aware of who could take even the most mundane bit of life and make it interesting with quotes and anecdotes from his vast repertoire of knowledge.

' This question, a riddle that comes from Ek Nai Paheli was first asked in its original Aboorva Raagangal. But, the same question was asked by an entity nearly 2000 years ago in the story of Vetala Panchavimshati or Betaal Pachisi.'

Daksha shook her head in awe and in a voice full of reverence observed loudly, ' 1984, 1975 and now we are travelling back two thousand years?'

Partha clapping his hands declared with pride, ' En friendunna summava. Ravi pera sonnalle summa adhirudhilla.'

Ravi groaned loudly and said, ' Dei, neeyum unnoda superstar madnessum. Poda.'

Gayatri cut through them and their moment of joy and relief when she said, ' Stop dilly-dallying and just answer the bloody question.'

Ravi looked at her sharply and shot back, ' Decorum, please. We are all friends here.'

' What or where is the need for decorum among friends, Master sir? What does it mean when one has to maintain decorum and manners when among friends whom you trust and know very well?'

' Correct, Gayatri. But that does not mean that we take anyone for granted, especially, those we love and care about. If we don't show respect and courtesy to our loved ones then I hate to think of how that person will behave among strangers and in public?'

Ravi nodded, ' Touche, Gayatri. I accept your words.'

Exhaling his anger, frustration and mainly his helplessness in handling her, he began answering her riddle of a question.

' This question was asked by an evil entity called Betaal when it was captured by the mighty king Vikramaditya for the 25th time. King Vikram had answered all the earlier questions but was truly lost for an answer.'

Partha exclaimed in wonder, ' Oh! Vikram betaal kathaiya. Doordarshanla paartathu.'

Ravi stared right through the darkness into the distant stars that were the eyes of Gayatri and thought to himself, ' She too is barely visible to me and is just a faint light like those distant stars that lie a million light years away from me.'

' I don't know why King Vikramaditya found it difficult to answer this question and I don't know what K.Balachandar was thinking when he made the film and left an open and unanswered climax?'

Gayatri cocked her head in aggression and asked, ' So, you know the answer to this riddle? Pray, tell us and enlighten us, then.'

Ravi smiled and said, ' Simple. Love. One should do what one wants and not bother too much about it or stop and wonder what others might think about it.'

Gayatri's shock at this unexpected answer was obvious and she yelled loudly, ' So, you are not bothered about what the society thinks or what chaos will ensue if such a thing happens?'

Ravi whispered softly and angrily, ' Lower your voice right now and don't speak again until I tell you to do so. I am warning you.'

Daksha fearing the worst and fearing Ravi's wrath, which she knew was uncontrollable once unleashed, quickly jumped in and tried to make peace by saying, ' Ravi calm down. Please, there is no need for you to get upset or be so harsh to Gayatri.'

Ravi jumped to his feet and placing a finger on his lips, whispered ominously, ' I repeat again and this goes to all of you. Stop talking and stay still and for God's sake stay silent.'

Partha looked at him worriedly wondering if they had somehow pushed Ravi over the edge for only he knew what it meant for he alone among the others knew what Ravi was capable of when he got angry.

He tried to say something and Ravi glared at him and the others and said, ' Silence, they are here.'
