wow, thankyou, never knew all this 😃 that is why the pronounciation is also so different.. kannada seems almost like telugu in script although a lot different, it's easier to speak Kannda in comparison to Tamil, and easier to pronounce Tamil in comparison to Malayalam. Even the scripts... Kannada < Tamil < Malayalam.. the complexity of the script from the looks i mean :p

You're welcome. :)) About the pronunciation, it is probably because Malayalam has the highest no. of phonemes (distinct units of sound in a language) amongst Dravidian languages. Around 63. Tamil has around 44, I think. Not sure about Telugu & Kannada. But yeah, this is likely why other Dravidian speakers may find it harder to understand Malayalam - both listening & speaking wise. They have a bit of an advantage, that way.

All the scripts look equally daunting to me lol I don't have much knowledge about the scripts, unfortunately. Yes! Very interesting. I couldn't resist jumping in. :P
