Hey just started reading this excellent book called "The God Delusion" by Richard Dawkins. It was recommended by some members of this forum. You might want to read it, excellent logical presentation of facts there. The entire premise is that in all the centuries of religion, belief in God has caused more harm to the society than benefits.
Will definitely check it out, though I think it will just reinforce my beliefs. I have read too much on this debate, and also done many good conversations. But, always good to know new viewpoints. And yeah, religion has caused too much problems. That's why I always say,
"With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion."
