He thinks he set the trend? What about Shatrughan Sinha hosting the Shotgun Show in 90s? Or Ashok Kumar's narrations in Hum Log back in 80s? And this deluded, self obsessed Siddharth Basu thinks he started trend of celeb hosted shows in India!🤪

Badmouthing Aamir also in media reports and other circles. 😡

Satyamev Jayate ROCKS, Aamir Khan is great as a host and they are donating money plus raising awareness unlike your show which only lures people for greed of prize money Mr. Basu!🤢

Aamir Khan's Satyamev Jayate creates massive impact!

Last Sunday saw most of our whole nation tuning their TV sets into one channel or the other, to catch Aamir Khan in a whole new avatar; that of a chat show host. Though many would have been piqued by the title of the show, and what new concept Aamir was going to bring to them, many would have tuned in, just to catch Aamir on the small screen. Such is the popularity that this actor commands across India. However, Aamir's very first episode of Satyamev Jayate has brought about a huge impact in Bhopal.

In the first episode of the show, Aamir touched upon the subject of female foeticide and a sting operation conducted 7-years-ago by 2 journalists, to uncover the shockingly increasing number of female foeticide cases in the districts of Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.

A couple of days back, the ditrict administration of Bhopal suspended the licenses of 69 nursing homes, where pre-natal diagnostics (sonography) and medical termination of pregnancy were conducted. However, the licenses of 5 of these clinics were reinstated after they provided documentation to prove that they had complied with all the statutory directions. The licenses of the remaining 64 clinics are currently suspended, for not filing the mandatory monthly report, for April 2012, under the MPT Act. The MPT Act requires all nursing homes to document and mention the number of medically terminated pregnancies, conducted by them.

With the first episode causing such an impact, what is in store for the episodes to come? We guess, we will just have to wait and watch! Go Aamir!

Annika then obviously you dont know that SR Bacchan ... did his own bit of promotion for something quiet a few years back . He came on Tevelision and insitgated people to violence against Sikhs .. the case is still there against them ...search in youtube an dyou will find it ..

be it bacchan or self styled intelectuals like vir singhvi or barkha dutt ..hope they truly get what the desrve in life . A good thing wld be if people stop following them.

Satyamev Jayate impact in Rajasthan as CM takes action!!

1 - Raj CM holds high level meetings on female foeticide:

Monday:

The CM held a high-level meeting at his residence on Monday where he ordered an inspection of 1,885 sonography machines at centres across the state.

The 'Taare Zameen Par' actor's show, in its first episode, revolved around the sting operation carried out by two journalists seven years ago to expose female feticide practices in four states-Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.

Khan also pledged to write to Gehlot requesting him to set up a special court for speedy trial in female feticide cases pending for years in various courts in the state.

The CM, in the meeting, stressed on the participation of public representatives and non government organizations (NGO) to curb the social evil. He instructed officials to chalk out comprehensive plans ensuring participation of elected representatives at the panchayats and municipal level.

A meeting with the NGOs working against female feticide in the state is scheduled for May 11 to discuss on developing strategies to check the ill practice.

Gehlot said that he had called an emergency meeting to discuss the issue after hearing about the episode.
"Aamir's programme has created an environment against female foeticide'I congratulate Aamir for finding time out of his busy Bollywood career to take up such a serious issue," said Gehlot.
He further said that the programme, Satyamev Jayate, would have greater impact, adding that the issue was worth taking up.
Referring to the meeting with the Rajasthan Chief Minister, Aamir said that he had asked him to take action against the people involved in the crime.

Aamir during his meeting with Gehlot was successful in extracting an assurance from the CM that he would take up the issue of constituting a fast-track court with the state's chief justice to expedite the cases pending before various courts.
As Gehlot conceded at the press conference, he did not watch Aamir's show, but decided to act immediately after he came to know about its impact. Without losing time, Aamir too fixed up an appointment with Gehlot to keep his promise with the audience of the show.
Under obvious pressure from Mr Perfectionist, as the actor is known in the film industry, Gehlot lost no time in directing his officers during the past two days to draw up a plan for checking female foeticide. He announced an increase in the award amount from Rs 50,000 to Rs one lakh for anyone providing information about clinics conducting sex-determination tests and Rs 25,000 for information on unregistered sonography machine. 👏

On Tuesday, Gehlot tweeted, "SatyamevJayate is a great & extraordinary initiative to root out Female Foeticide. I am eager to have a fruitful dialogue with Aamir."

Aamir, accompanied by a 15-member delegation constituting the members of the programme's research team and the two journalists who had conducted the sting operation, reached the official residence of the chief minister in the evening. In a display of grace and sensitivity, Gehlot was joined by his wife Sunita and son Vaibhav in receiving the actor.
