I saw the press conference and event live on Aaj Tak. Ashok Gehlot praised Aamir Khan for all eforts he made, called meetings to take action even before Aamir visited. At conference, they also handed over cheque to donate to NGOs supported by Satyamev Jayate.

Even students from schools and colleges had taken out rallies to pressurise government to take action on female foeticide and were armed with placards with slogan ''Satyamev Jayate'' and others to stop female foeticide and listen to public demands!!

Though something always surprises me, how can a middle class family afford to get ultrasound done? And afford to get the abortion done at the same time... a typical ultrasound costs somewhere between $100 - $800!

Aarya ... when any technology comes into India ... from the sheer number of people demanding it or shd i say the number of clients in this case ... the basic price of that technology becomes very cheap.

Thats why be it ultrasound or cable TV ... its quiet affordable !
