Hey Guys

I am in a dire situation. My sister who is married and is expecting is having her 20 week ultrasound next week.

She told me that her in-laws are having gender determination done there though it is illegal.

They want a boy child from her:( I am deeply worried for my sister as what would happen to her if it turns out to be a girl.

Can you please advice as to what to do now? My sister is not that gutsy to speak agaisnt her in laws.

And thanks Aamir, I would not have even thought about this issue if not for your show.

And yes my sister's family is well educated. Her FIL is a professor in DU.

Post 'Satyamev Jayate', licenses of 64 nursing homes suspended in Bhopal

Bhopal: It seems that Aamir Khan's show 'Satyamev Jayate' is beginning to show its impact. The district administration had on Wednesday suspended licenses of 69 nursing homes to conduct medical termination of pregnancy and pre-natal diagnostic tests like sonography.

However, five of these nursing homes have complied with the directions and the licenses have been reinstated. But, the licenses of 64 such nursing homes now stand suspended. They were suspended for not filing mandatory monthly report for April under MPT Act.

The prescribed proforma under the MTP Act requires every such nursing home to clearly mention number of the terminated pregnancies.

Aamir Khan in his programme 'Satyamev Jayate' aired on Sunday had highlighted the story of a sting operation done seven years back by two journalists to expose increasing female foeticide cases in four states - Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.

BTW I learnt Siddhartha Basu was supposed to co-produce this show with Aamir initially, but Aamir did not agree to his suggestions of making the show more entertaining. This is why he backed out and Aamir did it all by himself. He is also badmouthing this show in media circles now. Sour grapes!🤢

And Aamir's rivals toh we all know.😡 Even some rivals of STAR are pissed at the extent and reach of this show. To all jealous ones, I'd only say get a life. Do something better or just shut up and stop littering media space with jealousy!🤢

Dainik Bhaskar is deliberately spreading negativity on the show and making news of even joke tweets. I'd only say either ignore Aamir or at least do not stoop so low and make a fool of yourselves by making headlines of joke tweets.

[Obviously SMJ and Aamir were trending for last 2 days! He's referring to them! In previous tweets he also talked of quietly doing charity and not talking about it to TV channels unlike today's times!🤢

Today again he tweeted about a good deed he did, but slyly said he won't tell about it but simply feel inner satisfaction having done it!😡 Why taking such obvious and sly digs at other star and his noble initiative? I did not expect a star of Amitabh ji's stature to do this. Very sorry. 🥱]
