Starts off with a 'distracted' Kusum being reminded of her mission by Dukh baa... But the inability to 'connect' thereafter suggests that Kusum may very well be left to her own devices mostly, to investigate. If she continues taking Kumud's assurances to heart, then right there is a salsa salad of all hope and faith for the Desai's. If Kumud gets successfully 'distracted', the 'agency' she carries will ensure that they get somewhat placated too.
Kumud... How very soon Pramad has become a pet project for you? 😛 You stumble and he 'rights' you... His 'support' is conditional. Therein lies the difference. Only because if something happened to you who will tell him about Saraswatichandra? P is more interested in your lover, than in you. Galat faimi mein matt rehna, Sundari ji 😎 Also, Pramad's aside, recalls the life-attempts he has tried to make on K, and perhaps highlights his awareness that he may get exposed if he continues such, esp with K's bodyguard in attendance, so he is trying less 'crude' ways now. It also gives K a false sense of superiority over the very one she should be extremely wary of (Kalika) and satisfaction that she still has it ('fixing men with mommy/daddy issues). This aspect of her character is going to majorly aid in Kumud's downfall.
Kalika... Strikes. In the throes of jealousy. She uses the jigsaw piece just made available to her. Intercut with the "Dholna song sequence"... Interesting use of lyrics... Made much sense in the larger fabric of episode. Firstly, the four people concerned it kept flashing to... Saras and Kumud are set on binding and fortifying 'threads'... Kalika needs but a 'thread' to unravel all...and Pramad, recall the wedding night cliff sequence... "Pramad hai naam mera, mujhe koi bhi bandh nahi sakta"... He will not be binded and Kalika will be there every step of the way, to cut and throw, burn even, all attempts at 'bind"... Significant mention: Kalika, finds Kamarbandh, and wears it. Something 'pure' instantly, descecrated. It stood for Kumud and what her eventual fate will be at Kalika's hands. She will be defamed. As an unscrupulous woman. If not now, than later. What will happen to her 'mission' then?
Saras - Kusum confrontation:
Just as the song ends, the two are face-to-face. Looked up entire song, read lyrics too. In its entirety there is a bit that talks of 'naya janam'... I read the song as having to do with Saras. His new identity. The four shown constantly were four integral corners/catalysts of action, but the burning topic of the day was Navin, who is he, he will look good with you etc etc... The lyrics, in my opinion, suit S to the T. He is there as healer, to pacify wounds, and the other stanza with the naya janam bit, ironic as it hghlights the 'shock' Kusum will feel to see Navin's true face. A face that will only have to register itself in her gaze, to be entirely revealed. I did not see anything romantic in the way the song was used, instead it was employed to usher impending confrontation, but maybe that's just me 😳
Alak again comes at the opportune time, to register both reactions. Still innocent matchmaking? 😕 Introduced as 'Navinchandra', Saras' naya janam is complete. Btw, the way the whole sequence got prolonged, even a tubelight would have gone off in the most thickest of heads 😆 Loved Kusum's barbs to Saras. Better than Dukh baa's aarti utaaring of P, in my opinion. Loved the way Kusum sized up Kalika in two seconds flat... But watch out Kusum, you have just entered Kalika's hit-list too, what if she now finds you surrepitiously coming out of 'Navin ji's" room 😈 Special note: Kalika has become very observant these last couple of epi's... She misses nothing and does not fail to make associations being scorned will do that to you, I guess. Remember the 'extents' Kumud went to? Well, Kalika's will go to extremes, destructive ones at that, to keep what/is was hers, as hers. And teach 'usurpers' a thorough lesson too in the process.
And again Saras gets put on a pedestal by BD... Honestly, this "son" aspect is no longer a marker but has become an integral pushing point of each epi. Thereby highlighting how pervasive the deception is and how 'magnificient' the fall will be, for all involved. You could also see Pramad as being positioned in the middle of BD and Saras, but not as part of the 'clan'... Saras has already 'usurped' but then P 'inserts' himself again. That, and how Kalika 'inserts' herself and takes the opportune time to 'out' the kamarbandh in front of all. So what if the ownership was claimed by Kusum, she did so once before too, without success. And this time, the pure marker has been 'sullied'. Also, even though Kalika's intent got thwarted... Seeds have been sowed, for the 'reveal' in the future. Two got revealed, the third intervened and saved. All three have been binded in blood now. Collusion complete. To 'decieve' Loved GR's expression and control when Pramad confronts. Brilliant 👏 BD even refuses to look at P. Kumud is left 'crestfallen'... Mission started stellar, has disintegrated. How long before, in her reforming zeal, that she realises Navin ji is detrimental to her 'cause' and banishes him? That as long as you function as 'son' Pramad will remain lesser. Because it is the bitter truth, if rift between BD & P has to heal, Pramad has to 'accept' Navin, or else BD will continue to shun.
Saras - Kusum convo... Deja-vu as she throws identifier at him with same contempt that Kumud once did. She condemns, spells out dire consequences, and speaks sense. "Leave". But is it too late? It is. There has been first instance of 'collusion'... Even Kusum has been mired into the deceit now. An equal party... Pramad - Kumud convo... Birth and Death. Intercut got highlighted. What was up with Kumud's expressions, and where was Jennifer Winget's stellar voice modulations? Her lines sounded so flat. No wonder Pramad looked bored out of his mind, as she went on and on about Saraswati. Guess she will get to the 'Chandra' in the next episode 😆 Till then, Adios! 😉
