I salute Kumudsundari Desai ( for I refuse to call her Dharmadhikari)

She is a strong, courageous and a brave woman

And seeing the look of pride that Saras seemed to have,

he too bowed down to her courage and strength

Dharmadhikaris are worshippers of Shakti

And Shakti in the roop of their bahu has come to their house

I still have goose pimples thinking of that Saras Kumud convo

I loved loved loved the episode

Feeling so proud of Kumud today

But Kumud, Saras can be forgiven because he accepts his mistake

Has taken responsibility for his actions

Will undertake any penance to earn your forgiveness

And Jennifer - that quiet restraint, the controlled emotions, the dignified way of explaining your POV

What a great post, was actually waiting for it. SC is getting more interesting now. At the end of the day, Kumud is realising Saras worth, and Saras accepts his part of responsibility.

Glad you liked tonight... I didnt. Its down to personal preferences...

Remember Hgg-bhai once wondering why all the women on here didnt admire Kumud more? Inspirational, was the word he used... A fighter, and a potental role-model.

And Kumud did reduce Saras to admiration today, like you said.. And theirin lies the nub of why I dont feel empathy for her. I am not inspired but irritated by those who want to be martyrs and save the world even if it gives everyone else nightmares and loads of guilt! And every time someone harks back to the first time Saras said no, like Kumud did today...I just stop listening. What happened afterwards didnt count for anything? poof, just like that?...What the...

Kumud is like an emotional bull-dozer when she comes into form like she has now. Its all about her and herself and her choices, actions, perseverance,and all the other wonderful qualities that Dugba used to say she was bursting with. She will hold up the world and be the ever-suffering dharti-ma, so her parents, in-laws, and sisters, even Yash, can live their golden lives...?Today she came across as self-righteous and sometimes even cruel in the way she cut Saras down to size. If he is still around to admire her (and protect her) after today, that just shows how much he loves her...😉 Amen.

Lovely post Arshi. Kumud's explanations, reasons for why she got married, wants to nibhao the shaadi would not surprise anyone on CB thread. I have not been on IF much lately so have not read all the posts but I am sure it has been discussed. Even I mentioned some of them briefly.

Again, CVs are following a novel written over a hundred years back and trying to adapt to current times. They are treading a fine line and its extremely challenging for them. I understand and appreciate their constraints and efforts.

However, from a nayi soch POV, I was not terribly thrilled with some of the reasoning. Disappointed infact. If possible, will elaborate later or wait and read one of the CBians express my thoughts😉

Mrs Jennifer Singh Grover, you were superb today again. Controlled and dignified.

Mr Rode, we have come to expect superlative performances from you and you always deliver!
