yes she gave all answers

and many here have been giving these same ans. since ages while defending her .

But I still maintain my stand as i always did .It is the fault of the parents and not kumud sundari herself for the plight she is having.

She as a girl gave herself for her parents and family fulfilling her duties but what about parents did they fulfill their duty.

I have always blamed the parents since day one and i still blame them for being so rash in marrying their daughter..

i will never forgive her parents never !!

as for Kumud she has always been strong and its only reason Saras loves her.Coz she has the strenth and confidence which he lacks.

Alas life of our strong Kumud is gonna be a life long battle. So much i want her to get the happiness she deserves for being so tall and mighty. But may be God always chooses such ladies to give example to others.

All I want is that Saras be their with her forever and give her a solace she so desperately craves ...

One day One Day ...they will be together One day

Glad you liked tonight... I didnt. Its down to personal preferences...

Remember Hgg-bhai once wondering why all the women on here didnt admire Kumud more? Inspirational, was the word he used... A fighter, and a potental role-model.

And Kumud did reduce Saras to admiration today, like you said.. And theirin lies the nub of why I dont feel empathy for her. I am not inspired but irritated by those who want to be martyrs and save the world even if it gives everyone else nightmares and loads of guilt! And every time someone harks back to the first time Saras said no, like Kumud did today...I just stop listening. What happened afterwards didnt count for anything? poof, just like that?...What the...

Kumud is like an emotional bull-dozer when she comes into form like she has now. Its all about her and herself and her choices, actions, perseverance, and all the other wonderful qualities that Dugba used to say she was bursting with. She will hold up the world and be the ever-suffering dharti-ma, so her parents, in-laws, and sisters, even Yash, can live their golden lives...?Today she came across as self-righteous and sometimes even cruel in the way she cut Saras down to size. If he is still around to admire her (and protect her) after today, that just shows how much he loves her...😉 Amen.

Happychappy, yes I too didn't agree with her reasons, but admire her courage

Her answer - that she had the choice to sit and cry for Saras , yet she chose to get married , she accepted that she chose it!

No majboori. Choice!

She will nibhao the rishta, not majboori choice.

She will not give up - choice!

The fighting spirit, the ownership of her decisions and actions, that's what I loved

Yes her decisions and actions are choosing the conventional and not blazing a new trail,

Yes, the self sacrificing, the world rests on my shoulders, is also TRP heroine stuff

But today I am a TRP aunty, I laud her courage

Again, CVs are following a novel written over a hundred years back and trying to adapt to current times. They are treading a fine line and its extremely challenging for them. I understand and appreciate their constraints and efforts.

However, from a nayi soch POV, I was not terribly thrilled with some of the reasoning. Disappointed infact. If possible, will elaborate later or wait and read one of the CBians express my thoughts😉

Mrs Jennifer Singh Grover, you were superb today again. Controlled and dignified.

Mr Rode, we have come to expect superlative performances from you and you always deliver!

True Nandy, this is not nayi soch ki nayi laher. I too did not agree with some of her reasons and answers.

But I just loved the epi, and her strength !

Shana yes, her parents were rash, but they had their own pressures, social pressures, and so it is a very convoluted chain of events, tum intezar nahi kar sakti thi, is bothering him too!

Abhi toh pramaad ki band bajegi, uske maze le lete hain, phir sochenge!

I loved the episode TRP ke liye tha, aur mujhe mazaa bhi aaya

Main once again Kumud ki fan!

thanks arshi..😊

super super epi today...
" Mei apni kamzori ki sazaa kisi aur ko nahin deti'
" Mein peeche nahin hatoongi"

just as I hoped ... sherni is back...

@happychappy ...looks like we may still get our nayi soch...an empowered aplha kumud in the drivers seat...taking pramad by the scruff of his neck and fixing him...Precap points to that...

- to your other post on this thread...just use simple cause & effect to determine who is the trigger...trigger will always have greater weightage and responsibility since it is the initiator of the entire chain of events / effect which follows...here it was saras...

...and just like kumud is stuck with the ramifications and accountability of her decision..so to is saras with his...

- also remember when she married pramad she did not know he's an alcoholic...when she took the decision she did not have the liberty to have a 360 degree view we had as viewers...

- and that being responsible for the rest is a burden the eldest sibling of any family carries all his/her life..whether he/she likes it or not...its part of the job description...

- Now saras has apologized...but that train has left the station...despite her love for him...

- and she's not being a martyr...a martyr would be someone who would sit and cry when saras left her or who would sit and cry when pramad abuses her...sort of a self sacrificing machoist...here she's just a pragmatic 'today's' woman...and to borrow a cliche...who knows what she can change, what she cannot change and has the wisdom to know the difference...

- no wonder saras was reduced to admiration...

would love to see this develop and SC / kumud becoming a role model on how to handle domestic abuse...

@smrth...mystery is solved...it was her choice ...poore hosha hawaas mein...

this is an adaptation I really like...

New fear >>> What if SLB turns this not into a HDDCS but an Amar Prem????

Kumud niba rahi hai apni farz
Apne ghar valom ke kaathir
Apni zindagi kurban kardi
Apni farz ke aage pyaar kurban kardi
Saras niba raha hai apna farz
Apne pyaar ke kaathir
Apni zindagi kurban kardi
Apne farz ke aage pyaar kurban kardi
What an episode again. Kumud finally made her side clear. hotdogg and Vaishali were right. Kumud will surely try her best to work out her marriage. Loved her words she has lost her dreams but her responsibility towards her family is still there. She will try everything not to hurt her family honour. What will VC think about this ? He didn't care about his sister sitting at home and Kumud is his precious daughter. Will he want his daughter to undergo this plight ?
Saras today was proud of Kumud, his Kumud was back. The sherni whom he had fallen in love with was back. He had to ask her just once why didn't she wait for him rather than jumpimg onto this alliance. Her answer made it clear, she did everything for her parents and for her family. She had nothing left. Now Saras has become more stubborn, he wouldn't allow her to go through this pain because of him. He has accepted his mistakes and would do everything not to see her in pain anymore. I can't agree with her saying if I can forgive you for your mistake, why can't I forgive Pramad. What Pramad is doing is not mistakes, he is doing everything knowingly. He doesn't want Kumud as his wife. Let us see if Kumud will ever accept that or fight on until the end.
So Desai's are planning for pag phere and Kumud and Damadji have to visit RN. Interesting, let us see whether this will work out.
A big logic ki vaat. BD's bahu running out of the house, running on the street and screaming Saras at the local temple. Doesn't the local community recognise BD's bahu 😕 But for the powerful conversation aftermath I think we can forgive this, otherwise how will we see both of them together in the temple. 😆

The way you read Kumud's mind and empathize with her, is amazing!

Your post yesterday had laid grounds, and we got the affirmation today!

I still don't agree to her answers, and her choices, but admire her for standing up, accepting responsibility for her choice, and taking head on wherever her choices have taken her!

So though she has chosen to take the beaten path, she explained her reasons very well!

Arshi, didnt see the epi but read the WU.
Nice choice of songs. Heavy burden to carry for a woman. Especially for Kumud, because she has her family honour to uphold.
Kumud wants to mould it, rebuild it. Great. I said she needs to act. And she is doing that.
She will stand by the marriage for good. Great. Because, when marrying Pramad she made a promise to stay by him.
But stay by him on what counts? Stay by him through infidelity? Well, again she said she will work towards changing him. Lets see. the premise of family honour that she wants to uphold is very weak. Well, if someone comes and tells VC that he married her to a wastrel, will it be honour for him? the situation is definitely complex but staying by husband through infidelity is kind of insulting the marriage in my POV.
Saras broke her heart but Pramad didnt. So he deserves a chance? That POV not at all logical. Saras made promises and didnt keep them. Pramad didnt make any. So she is not upset with him?
What is marriage? What did Pramad do when marrying her. He made promises to her with fire and elders as witness. What is the meaning of those mantras? He was saying I will stay by you in sorrow and happiness. I am marrying you for my own life and for progeny. The list goes on. Marriage is a promise.
Love need not be a promise. If Kumud thinks Pramad did not make any promise, then she doesnt know the meaning of marriage fully. She only knows she has to keep the marriage because for her it is a promise. For Pramad it is not. Infact he told her he does not want it. Where does that put her? Like someone said, is she not forcing Pramad to stay in this relationship?
Kumud showed guts to fight. And I am happy for that. I think Saras admired her resolute mind and the fighter in her. Like you said she is still wrong.
