Mary,

That was one extremely refreshing and an amazing analysis of the leads and the director! <3 The show definitely deserves a chance and the first week has showed so much progress and it feels great to watch a show which doesn't drag on and on.

And I'd personally love to have you do an analysis like this weekly or even daily would be great! Because, people [a few!] put here are being quite judgemental and prejudiced and comparing it to the earlier shows of Star Plus. . . As much as I loved [ and they still continue to remain my favorites] the earlier shows, I feel they should accept the fact that the shows have ended and I'm sorry I'm mentioning it here, but seeing that you so carefully and sensibly plotted out the week's progress, it kinda makes me comfortable to voice out my opinion! :P

And coming to your analysis, I absolutely loved Kumud's character and I'm in awe of her amazing persona and the Jen is portraying her! <3

Gautam is doing a fantastic job too and Saras as a character has lots of scope to grow, and hope Sanjay Ji gives us more depth in to SC's character in the coming week.

All in all, the show is good and I hope it only continues to improve! :D

Mary this is great!
Just reading your character analysis of Kumund made me sit up, arch my back and focus.😊
I was impatient with Saras, he is kind of wimpy.
But after reading your piece, I am eager to see his character development ...
Happy watching!

That was a great read...it's really good to see leads with depth and I'm sure there is much more to unravel. Looking forward to that and your analysis :)

You've hit the mark with your character analyses. SLB is adapting classic literature into a modern day story, so making the characters believable is quite a challenge. I think the way the leads are essaying their roles has been pretty decent so far. It's not going to be an easy task to make their character traits relatable to the modern audience of the show.

I have really liked the cinematic feel to the show so far. All in all, at the end of week one, I think this is a show I could get into, even with the occasional suspension of disbelief moments in the storyline.. :)

Hmm I am not finding the characters hard to relate to though I am your everyday American girl. Maybe I am old fashioned. 😳
