Since this is a SLB show the expectations are ginormous but so far Im not totally let down. I love the 70mm, larger than life feel and SLB's vivid brush strokes. I hear many complaining about a HUM dil de chuke sanam hangover, but I dont mind that. This kind of grandeur has never been seen on TV before, so why not.
I find Gautam Rode a little wooden at times, but its still early days and hopefully he'll ease into his role. Keeping in mind that it is a daily show, the characters are pretty relatable so far. The original story being what it is, it will be interesting to see how SLB mordernizes it beyond just the sets and costumes.
