So true... There are always people who want everyone to be happy. But it takes time and sometime guidance to see that this cannot happen. Gopi had no such guidance. Her mama comes in the same category and I will say is worse because he escapes in the name of work. Gopi has lived all her life looking for someone to love her truly and guide her...
If Ahem becomes that person, he will slowly teach her that you cannot always keep everyone happy at the same time.. But for that he needs to show her what true love is first.. Until Gopi can see what it is to be actually and unconditionally loved, she will not know or will always be the same person...😕

@mahi... she does not play a peace maker role just because she has no one to support her ... even if she has support from Ahemji and her Maaji she will still don the cap of the peace maker because she in heart wishes everyone to be happy and loving😃

@bold ... Ahemji also falls in the same category ... he also needs guidance in judging the people ... who are good and who are bad...

just like gopi cannot see her mami and rashiben's atrocious behavior even he does not have the acumen in judging people... that is when kokiji will be coming into picture

@ Munni.. Well said..👏 Koki does play an important role here.. She is the only person in MB who has the sense to identify people and their intentions.. Almost like Naani and maybe better than her.. Koki will be able to guide Ahem who takes to everything she says. In Gopi's case, she is frightened of Koki though she loves her. So there are times when Gopi does not listen to her Maaji. But our Gopi vahu always listens to Ahem. So it will have to come from Koki -.>Ahem -> Gopi...
Hopefully this track will take us there soon...

thanks harini,... i wonder ...when gopi vahu listens to every word of her maaji ...why not listen and try to understand what her maaji is saying about her Rashiben...

on the other hand ...she changed a bit... she is listening more to Ahemji than maaji...injection scene @bold ...so i too think like u said ...it will have to come from koki to Ahemji to Gopi in a flowchart😃

Munni.. Gopi vahu listens to Maaji at all times except that... Don't know why.. Maybe due to Rashi's damsel in distress tales. Gopi always protects her from Koki's wrath by taking all blame and Koki sees through her every time.. 😃

she sees herself in her rashiben... she feels her Rashiben's life is the most distressed life in the whole universe... and gopiji to the rescue of her sweet sis😡

that is why i like koki punishing gopi... when she can''t listen to good words... koki has to give the punishment that too for her own benefit😉

Oh, you are all breaking my heart by saying that Gopi needs punishment😭

She has been a victim of physical and verbal abuse for most of her life (her mammi and Rashi) which even continued to a lesser extent after she got married (Aham's brutal behaviour in early days and Koki's scoldings). All that can not be erased in just a few months.

Most of the time, such victims feel they deserve the abuse they are getting and feel guilty because they feel they pushed the abuser to do it. In Gopi's case, she still feels she owes it to her mammi since she kept her in her house after her parents died. She is not able to say "no" to her and also to Rashi since she is an extension of Urmi.

At least there is no physical or verbal abuse at Modi house to that extent any more and she is happier. She got attached to Kokila because she may be strict but did help her a lot and got her out of that hell-hole. Also, Ahamji is her saviour even if he didn't want her, by marrying her, he saved her form a life time of abuse. Remember, when she wanted to leave MM, it was because she made her saviour unhappy not because she was unhappy. Such victims create a persona of happiness around them in order to protect themselves. They don't want anyone to know that they are suffering. She will never admit that her mammi has abused her. That's why she always looks happy and tries to please everyone around her because she feels she is the cause of unhappiness for everyone (she said that on her birthday).

If this was dark sinister serial, we would see Gopi with multiple personalities one day with her dominating personality coming out and killing all her abusers (Urmi first), but then the show will turn into a slasher and will be called "Slash mera Saathiya". I am glad to see Gopi as she is.

I hope Aham can see the person she is and protect her and love her as she truly deserves and needs.
