Hi all, I have a new instalment to dusra Ahamji, hope you like it. For those that liked the last update, thanks for sticking with my hatke fan fic...😆. But with this update, I'm going to stick to basics with not too many shocks, well will see how it pans out.
Part 4
Modi Bhawan
Jignesh came out of the bathroom and noticed Gopi was wearing the same saree, he told her sweetheart aren't you going to change out of that now? She said yes, I was just waiting for you as you said , as you haven't had something to eat...Jignesh said, oh yes have you had anything...Gopi confirmed she hadn't, Jignesh told her why don't you go freshen up and I will ask downstairs for the maid to bring something for both of us to have...Gopi looked at him stunned.😲
Jignesh came downstairs quickly and ran into his mother in the hall, he said Mom, I'm tired can you ask the maid to prepare a light dinner for Gopi and I and bring it upstairs...Kokila frowned 😔 and said where is Gopi Vau, she should go to the kitchen and get you something, she was about to yell for Gopi, Jignesh quickly said, she is freshening up, Mom don't worry I will just go to the kitchen and get the maid to make something ready for us, and strutted off...😛 He came across Mani and asked her can you prepare a dinner tray and bring it up to our room, enough for two people...Mani said Ji Aham bhai. Jigs left and went upstairs again.
He re-entered the bedroom and Gopi came out of the bathroom wearing a green saree (with no pattern for sleeping), he looked at it and frowned. Jignesh asked Gopi, don't you have proper night wear? Some pyjamas or nightdresses to wear? Gopi said hesitantly pyjamas what is that? Jignesh looked at her little face and thought, what's up with this, a Modi bahu doesn't know what pyjamas are...Jignesh said that's okay honey as I'm going to be with you all day tomorrow, we can go shopping and get you whatever you want...come over here, I'm just going to set up my laptop, but I promise I'm not going to start working tonight, I just want to go online and catch up with some friends, he asked her, do you have a facebook account, it's the best and easiest way to catch up with old school mates isn't it, again Gopi looked at him puzzled, Jignesh didn't pursue it, he went to his own facebook and started reading his pals amusing titbits and shared with her their jokes, she was smiling and laughing too...he said just read this one, Gopi quickly immediately got uncomfortable and even had tears shining in her eyes and stood up and started to fidget with her pallu, Jignesh got up and said What is it what's the matter, Gopi was thinking (something is not right here, I need to consult with Maji, Ahamji seems to be laughing at me and acting strangely) tears began falling from her eyes, quickly Jigs went to envelope in his arms and asked her what he had done...Gopi tried to leave his arms but their felt so good, she didn't want to break contact just yet, so just wept on his chest. Jignesh brought her to sit again on the sofa's and asked her what has brought this worry on to her face. Gopi told him, have you forgotten I cannot read...Jignesh is stunned (but quickly covers it up, as he deduced Aham must have known this about his wife) Jigs said I know sweetheart, momentarily I forgot but would you like to learn? Gopi said she had no time to learn children things, as she had to work in the kitchen and do housework for the Modi Bhawan. Jigs thought he'd noticed many maids and servants about the place, why were the Modi's acting in this manner, he would soon see that things were put right where Gopi was concerned.
There was a knock at the door. Gopi got up and addressed the servant as Mani behn and told her to bring the food. They had dinner and with minimal discussion, only with Jigs watching Gopi how she ate etc. He was thinking he would not question her again tonight he wanted her to rest, as he intended to take her out tomorrow, it seemed she didn't know much of the luxurious side of life, like him she had been deprived of things the rich took for granted and fully intended for her to have the benefits of her new station in life.
They had a little bit of a coming together of wills when later on Gopi took out some bed linen and wanted to sleep on the floor, and Jigs said what's this nonsense, you are sleeping with me aren't you? Gopi just looked at him with yet another shocked expression, Jigs said Gopi I know you think I'm acting strangely, but I want to turn a new leaf in our relationship, come lets go to sleep now, it's late, tomorrow we will go out and spend most of the day together, I don't want this coldness to exist between us any longer. Jigs was thinking so Aham made his wife sleep on the floor because she was illiterate...creep, as rich as he was he could easily afford a teacher for her, I will put things right with her, he stared at her with a face of determination...
The next morning Jigs woke up early and got into his running gear, he glanced at Gopi frequently, he went to sit close to Gopi on the bed and woke her up with a kiss on the cheek, she woke up and he told her, sweetheart, i'm going for a run, just in case you are wondering where I went, have you bath and will have breakfast and we can go out together. Gopi asked but you will be working today? Jigs said I will be, I'm contactable on my cell phone and have a long life battery in my laptop, we will take the driver and he can chauffeur us around.
On Jigs return he went into the shower got ready, came down for the pooja and went to sit to have breakfast and noticed Gopi was standing up and serving the food to everyone...Jigs realised this was something the Modi's again were forcing "his illiterate wife" to do when they had servants aplenty to serve the food for them. He told Gopi to sit down next to him and eat as they had a lot to do today and needed to leave after breakfast, everyone stared at him, he said to them, I haven't mentioned it before but I deplore this custom of my wife Gopi serving everyone, when Mani is also there, especially on a day like today when we are going out soon. Gopi sat down and when Mani hovered over them, he served her, her breakfast and they all resumed eating, he got a call soon after breakfast it was from Priya at the office, telling him that she had spoken to his work associates and all the work was in hand and that she would update him if anything untoward happened, Meanwhile he told Priya about finding a discreet teacher for Gopi, Priya promised to do some checking on some prospective tutors and he told her he would be on his laptop for her to email him the details and rang off.
Jigs had been thinking that it was a bit peculiar that Aham and him had such a striking resemblance and he had some connections at the DNA lab which he wanted to see if he and Aham were related in some way, he went upstairs to his room and took the brush in Aham's cupboard and put it in a clean bag and he would drop it off at the lab.
Gopi emerged from the kitchen and they left, he took her to the fashion boutiques and bought her anything she wanted, but she was very modest with her purchases, so he ended up looking at her sternly and picking up stuff for her, afterwards he asked if there was a beauty palour that she frequented she told him she has only been once and he took her there and asked whether they could squeeze his wife in without an appointment...They did, he told her he would be back to take her, and he went to his friends lab, he spoke to Ritesh about his suspicions and asked him to check the dna sample in the brush and to compare with his dna, and give him a call on his cell with the results. As he had more time to kill, he stopped by the office and worked on some things, he rang the beauty palour to tell him when they had 15 minutes to go for his wife to be ready to call him and he would come collect her.
He went to collect her, she looked stunning, more confident with her hair down and the make up was even better, lighter and fresher (Jigs told her he liked her hair and make up as it was today, and that she needed to maintain this lovely style as it suited her best). He took her home with all their purchases for the day. They entered the house with the driver coming in the rear with all of Gopi's purchases, he told him to take them upstairs to their room. He called Mani and asked her to bring some cool drinks and he sat down with Gopi in the hall, where his Mom, Khaki were, they caught up with all the days happenings and had a pleasant afternoon of joking and laughter.
Rashi had also gone out that afternoon to see her mother at the CM, on her return she came into the hall and saw that Gopi and Aham were in the hall laughing with the family, Gopi was talking animatedly about some story she heard from the beauty palour...Rashi's eyes narrowed, so Gopi went to the beauty palour, yes she noticed the hair was blow dried straight and the make up and nails were back, she was staring intently as Gopi and all of a sudden noticed Ahamji reached his hand to hold onto Gopi's hand they both stood up, Ahamji said we will go upstairs now, Gopi probably wants to check on the fit of her new purchases and I need to get back to work, we will come down later for dinner. Kokila looking at Rashi smirked and said that was fine Aham dikra and stood up to say Rashi, stop standing there staring go into the kitchen and help Mani with dinner.
[Well what do you all think that's my bit for today, thought to write the part I am finding more amusing, I will take on Aham tomorrow...lol]
