I'm going to show my ignorance here, but oh well....

Why is Koki sleeping in her sari with all her jewelry on? Do Indian women typically do that? I can't imagine sleeping in a sari. I'd strangle myself.

Also, I'm confused about the water issue. It's all gone? Is water rationed - you only get so much per day?

Next, the saris that Gopi and Rashi wear are all gorgeous. Do they really do household tasks in nice clothes? And they are so loooonnngggg. I think that would make me nuts.

Sorry for all the questions...

You are not being ignorant. Its just its a drama series where glamor is given a lot of priority. That's why you will see all this. In real life, no one does it all. The clothes they wear are a kind of marketing technique. They wear them to show to the audience whats out there. So thats how the fashion designer and the brand also get exposure.
But the water issue seemed a bit weird! Oh well, Rashi will be caught because of it anyways. "Another nasty brick in her bad reputation wall"

Thank you for the clarification. It just seemed so out of place! I don't know about you all, but I'm not at my best first thing in the morning. Can you say "bed head"? 🤣 Koki looked like she just stepped out of the salon! And sleeping in all that fabric - good grief.

Oh, and welcome to the forum!

Tam...this is common in every TV show these says.....till date I too not able to understand how these Telly ladies can sleep, cook, work in those heavy sarees with full make up on and jewelery...may be some power they had that we dont have....so that makes the diference....

Thanks saomom, so far what I have seen is that every actress in serials go to sleep like that. But I have to say that koki was looking a bit bizarre. 😍

Just to add one more 'cultural insight'😛....not only water but electricity is also rationed in India .....it is called 'load shedding'...Many cities don't have any electrical power supply during certain hours per day. The schedule may vary as per the city/area. So when the water comes ppl use electrical motors to fill up water tanks. IF there is no electricity when water comes there is NO way you can store enough water until next time.

I am sorry to hear that mona. But I would expect Modi house to have a generator...They have the "modi empire" after all 😆

By the way, whats the meaning of kagdi? Rashi calls Koki that. I dont speak hindi. Thats why, I am asking.

Yep, Modis should have a generator...and more than one water tanks as fallback option...but it seems they didn't.
Kagdi means crow...lolz....Actually Kokila means a Cuckoo whose song is very sweet. But here Rashi calls her kagdi/crow whose crowing is soooo irritating...😆 So fitting...
