Though I agree with u that most of the controversy/drama was scripted by zee and enacted by himesh,I still feel that himesh carried his 'himeshness' too far.The drama might have been scripted ,but the self promotion & attitude of superiority which (i feel) he displayed was certainly not scripted in by Zee.I'm sure that was Himesh's own addition. In both C-05 and C-07 Himesh never wld praise any rival Gharan's candidate openly, however well they sang. There was also a restriction to his praise of of anyone except Vinit.

Whereas ppl like ID and VS praised rival singers more openly too.And I think Sonu is alos very staright forwrd with his comments and praises. His critisim doesn't destroy the confidence of the singer,he gives constructive critism .He also comes across as less biased/not biased(in II and in the shows where he has been a judge)........ just my two cents 😊

You are quite right too. Sonuji and Sureshji do not impose themselves or their personalities over the others. They are both highly respected and very ideal in dealing with the little kids. It is a very tough job of being the "Judge" and also the "Executioner" and having to answer a load of questions from dissatisfied parents; this is the worst part when so many kids and parents start crying. Sonuji is a bit more tactful compared to Sureshji due to his long time experience as a Host of the Show, but Sureshji is also very sharp in distinguishing the quality of the singers and identifying their faults and correcting them.

As for Himeshji we should not prejudge him yet, given that the circumstances and situation being different where he only acts as a Judge and not as a fellow competitor. So with young kids he may also soften and be kind to them. He will treat each of the contestants like an Aneek clone and have words of encouragement and advice. It is hard to resist the charms of the little ones, most musician are aritstes are generally not so hard hearted.😉

On the same note, a little point to ponder. Simon Cowell of Americal idol is also completely ruthless and rude too and yet they still keep him. The show needs such people too.

A good Producer/Director recognises the skill sets of all these persons and will use them as pawns in a game ( a competition against the Rival Stations) and also rake in more profits. But he also knows how not to overstep the boundaries which should be clearly drawn. For each episode the Producer will apply different strategies to win the opponent, the Rival Stations. He has to keep changing the Mentors/Judges too until he gets an ideal team or formula.😆

I agree with U summerji. We can talk abt himmy's attitude toward kids only after he judges the kids, not based on sarega07,where he was a mentor.

This is out of the point; you would not find one single person in the bollywood industry who would not be nice and encouraging to kids..Be it himesh, Sonu, amitabh, srk, amir, sanjay bhansali...pratically everyone would be supportive of the kids.... Don't confuse the himesh/sonu comparison by bringing in the scenario of himesh judging little champs because it's hypothetical...Thank God he is not judging little champs....

Anyways! Firstly, compare them judging adults; himesh in C07 and Sonu in II. Some one said himesh was a mentor not judge; let me remind you, he was a mentor to aneek and for everyone else he was a judge...

Secondly, Sonu knows what he is saying. He is funny and everything but he never goes over the top in praising anything. In indian idol 2, how many time did you hear him saying "my fans vote for karunya!"; whereas he liked karunya to an extreme. When amey got voted out, again oen of his fav contestants, he walked out saying amey was a good singer not saying anuj was "crappy and he should be guilty for making amey leave"..Does that dialogue ring any bells??? Maybe himesh at mussarat's elimination...When did you ever hear sonu argue with other judges??? promoting Kajol's fanaa when she came on finale?? promoting kaal's music when its MD were guests?? promoting KANK when karan johar came on the sets even though he was singing the main track????
I don't think zee scripts himesh promotional items, and non-stop rubbish for flattering guests...be it kareena, farah, salman, and other guests...

So I think I have proved my point that Sonu is THE BEST...😳

Well Abruji, Let me first say that I appreciate that you are a strong and loving Sonu supporter. I like him too and agree that he is doing a fantastic job. On the same note Himeshji has also done well for the SRGMP organisers in 07.
My point is that the services of these mentors/judges have been engaged for a certain reason and that it is imperative that they deliver the goods. Whether they are to play a hero or a villian is decided by the Show organisers. 😉

Look! I am not trying to attack your opinion. You are entitled to your opinion and I respect that. I am just providing rebuttal for pointless arguments. If you think that himesh's all-time lame talk was a script to entertain people, then I think script writer did a crappy job because neither was it entertaining nor did it give people a reason to watch the show..People watched it because of the talent of the contestants and himesh presence was tolerated not appreciated....i can say that in safety for my NRI colleagues, friends, and family members...

i so agree with u here.. now it's all clear.. Sonu wins😊

and mods I kindly request u to close this topic becoz I feel it's turning into Sonu Nigam vs. Himesh Reshammiya war..

Although Sonu Nigam will win but I would prefer there is no fight over his name, and Sonu's fans why bother to talk to people who have Himesh bhoot over their heads. u guys are just wasting your time by arguing with them coz we all know Sonu Nigam is wayyyy better than Himesh.😉

As Summer has pointed out,it is not right to jump to conclusions on how Himesh wld judge kids.He might be nice to them. And i agree that Zee roped him in coz they knew that uske cheenkne se bhi headlines banti hain!!And they only have to give him a little scope,he has the ability to improvise on their drama(😆 ,No wonder he has taken to acting!!)and boost their TRPs.And the world is full of Himesh fans!!Ppl who will listen and digest and act according to any nonsense(in my opinion)that he says ......and yes,Zee has chosen to project him as conceited/whtever....but watching him in the show I felt, some parts were stuff which he added on by himself.I mean,Zee provides the basic story or whtever, maybe even 80% of it was scripted...but some of it seemed to be real himeshness to me.And that is how and why I formed my opinion abt him.

U may be totally right,Summer...he may be a different person in real life . And having seen HR for the last couple of yrs,I doubt he is any different from wht he is being projected on Zee.After all,he did incur Asha Bhonsle's wrath with his comments!! Maybe I am another of those million idiots who is taken in by Zee's drama and belives that ppl really are wht they appear on SRGMP . Maybe HR,left to himself, without scripts wld be a good judge.(and I sincerely hope he is) We'll never know. 😊

Chitraji you are a lover of action and drama. Others love to watch documentaries. And I am in the middle because I watch what I like and when I feel like it. 😆

Sometime I even like watching commercials.😉

Sometimes I watch horror movies and laugh too, because it is so predictable. Maybe I have too much insight?😉
