Raja's mistakes??????? - Page 3

i know nervousness on the spot can create mistakes...
i'd say .. singing lut gai main ..mit gai main ...instead of mar gai main mit gai main .. was a mistake ...
due to nervousness..but not the beat thing

i just listened to it, counting 1,2,3 while he was singing. and i still feel the same way. the beat he missed before was when he was holding the "ohh" and i think he held it for one extra beat, which is why he had to squeeze the "lutgaimainmitgaimain" to go back on track. and the word after the "lutgaimainmitgaimain" did not go to the next beat because he eliminated a rest and thats why he sang those words fast like that.

as i have said before, thats how my ears heard it and to me it sounded wrong. that's just my opinion 😊

Thanks Mumbai80 for starting the topic. I was in shock when HR said there were too many mistakes because we've all heard the song SO many times and it sounded wonderful to me the way Raja rendered it. From others' posts it sounds like that maybe HR doesn't have much knowledge of classical music??

HR has knowledge of music ... but .. still he has to look after anik .. and musarrat ...
ditto with bappi and ID...
they all know ki wat is said by the judges... really matters to ppl who dont know music.. they just vote to anyone whom the judges appreciate....
anyhow they gave 10 because they knew ki .. open jhoot bolne mein problem ho sakti hai ...

i still stand by wat i said.. not that imm always right .. but most probably this time i am. he delayed the oo also ... taking it slightly offbeat... lakin that variation was deliberate

lol, HR does have knowledge of music or else he wouldn't be a music director. i know that these days his music focuses more on rhythm than melody but if you listen to some of his pre-ashiq banaya apne songs then u'll know that he too has a melodious mind. and if he heard mistakes, i heard them too and even i have learned music.

The best thing that i gathered from this conversation is .. that ..u too have a musical mind...
even i have learned music...... and i have even recorded songs... so i told wat i thought... but difference in opinion can always be there.
as far as himesh is concerned.... i too respect him fo wat he is today....
none in my grp like him saying that he is for the rikshaw wala's but all those ppl dance in the club ..only to his tunes...
he understands music for sure... but more than that .. he understands that wat ever he says on show is gonna have a huge impact on the voting.... and as aneek was criticized for not singing up to the mark today(to which i disagree ...as sathiya is one of the toughest song sonu has sung.. and aneek tried well)...
he was concerned abt ppl giving votes only to raja.. .. so he added that line..
well mistakes were there... lakin were not as gross as HR described them 'ki bahut mistakes thi'
even the low notes ... were not as bad.. u shd see the concentration on rajas face when he started singing the low notes 'teri deewani-deewani'... so he is working hard on anything that can be improved..

i agree ki bahut mistakes nahi thi, and maybe HR did over-exaggerate to impact voters. but i doubt it will stop raja fans from voting for him 😃
