My fav are Paresh & Twinkle

But who will win I go for Hemachandra/Vineet & Nihira/Himani.

& if the judgement will be done by people like paaji(Daler)
then i have doubt then the winners list be different Irfaan/Rajeev & Raktima/keka/Sanchali might win.

I just read few of the comments and completely agree that ID is a bit blunt BUT is honest unlike the other mentors...and another thing that I like about ID is that he never over hypes any of his singers and says that he leaves it to the judges and trusts their judgements. I liked the way yesterday he tried to pep up Nihira by saying that judges are elders and treat their judgement with respect but don't take the "attitude and body language comment too seriously". I too hope that this does not affect Nihira's future performances as she is really the best and I thought only Swananda and Ujjaini can give her competetion if any...
Further JL's comment was completely illogical and out of place, even I could see that Ujjaini had faltered and went off tune at some places and what ID said was very normal, what other judges have often said about some other contestants and everyone takes it normally so there was no need for JL to become so melodramatic and hyper over ID's comments...no need for that and totally uncalled for..
Also I completely agree with some other members' comments that Rajeev/Vishwa/Vineet are over hyped. Very True. Among the boys I really like Debojit and Hemachandra, these guys genuinely deserve the praise. And I sincerely hope that judgement on this program stays genuine and without any influences of any mentors or anyone else..which can if they bring Shiv Kumar and Hari Prasad ji as judges more often. What I really admire and respect about them is that they pass judgement totally based on their opinion and are never in any way affected or influenced by the mentors' discussions or arguments post the contestant's singing.

I completely agree. Ismail has never passed any wrong judgement about the singing and sur. And he has treated his contestants and others contestants equally. He has praised some people from other gharanas very much when they sang well. JL are really getting on my nerves. I know they are very good musicians but for a competition like where everyone is so young and any wrong remark could ruin their lives, they have to be careful. I never saw JL and AS doing that. Earlier I thought the gharanas rating was based on the contestants, but now I realise its based on the mentors. Himesh has been on the top last few weeks followed by Ismail. JL are the last ones.
Hema and Debojit have kept such a low profile and concentrated on their singing alone. No wonder, I have never seen them drifting away from the sur. Good that their mentors didn't pay too much attention on them.

Also how dare JL get so agigated when ID commented on one sur which everyone knows was week. They behaved so immatured with Joyeeta. First they say her singing style was like a prostitute and next they compare her with a beggar. The second remark was much more rude and was so uncalled for. If they cannot be constructive, they shouldn't be destructive. I feel so bad for Joyeeta. Its like JL were trying to satisfy some personal Vendetta. They have been the worst mentors. With great singers like Saptak and Bhumik, they couldn't do much. Poor Saptak. He lost only because of bad song selection. Aadesh on the other hand has been the best mentor. Other than Hemachandra, none of his contestants are very strong. But he still was able to hype them well.

I watched the round where Vineet and Nihira got their green cards. It was a tough competition. Except Ifran, everyone's performance was outstanding. Daler definitely did not deserve that seat.

Meanwhile, I want to write something which keeps bugging me. We are all very shocked and upset about some of the decisions made by some judges. Just wondering what can we do about this. We are all in different part of the world but watching one of the most exciting shows in the history of Indian Television, expecting fair decisions and the most deserving contestants win the event. I know we cannot resolve this problem but I would request everyone to make your inputs on this. So at least the message will reach the organizers and there is a chance for them to considerate this.

I want to bring in the most sensitive issue of judging this event again here. In my view a judge, in order to make a fair decision should have the following qualifications:

- An in-depth knowledge of Indian Classical Music
- Successful practical experience in Indian Film Music Industry
- Proven ability in judging major musical events
- Ability to make his/ her own judgment without anybody's influence
- Ability to convince the audience and participants about the positive/ negative points of each participant's performance

As I mentioned earlier, Shivji & Hariji would be my first choice. Kavita Krishnamoorthy is another person who makes excellent decisions and gives respect to the participants. I believe that all successful musicians are not necessarily good judges. In my opinion if a person takes the assignment of judging an event, he/ she has to make a decision rather than asking the mentors to do it. If they are not capable of doing the job they should not accept it.

My second issue is the public voting. As per the information available, viewers are asked to vote for Gharana of their choice. Based on the public voting, the top two gharanas will get a chance to recall 2 paricipants who were already eliminated. My concern is why vote for a gharana? Why not for a participant? Does voting for a gharana make sense to you? Let me explain to you. We all agree that Vishwas is a very versatile singer and his elimination was totally unacceptable. We all want him to come back to make this competition more lively and healthy. Now look at this scenario carefully. I think in public voting LET'S ROCK. leads the table followed by YALGAAR. YALGAAR will naturally recall Mr. U.K. and LET'S ROCK will go for Aishwarya whose name appeared in almost every episode after his elimination or Sweet sweet Nanu. (I have nothing against Paresh, Aishwarya or Nanu. They all sing very well but we are looking at the best). We want to see the most deserving participants competing in the final rounds. Now, Vishwas, the singer we all consider as one of the best in the competition has no chance of coming back unless JAI HO gets into the top who got very remote chance. Ujjaini has been eliminated from the competition and absolutely no chance for her to come back because JL has very little chance to move up from the bottom of the table. Now my concern is why should a deserving singer be victimized for an incompetent judge's decision? Why can't public get a chance to bring them back? So the bottom line is instead of voting for Gharanas, public should be allowed to vote for participants which makes perfect sense.

So please post your inputs on this ASAP.

I agree.. We should be voting for the contestant. And I would definitely want Viswas to be back.
I strongly think Asha Bhonsle would be one of the best judges. Why cannot they request her to be a judge. She doesn't even need a second person in the panel. Shiv+Hari jodi is also very good. Kavita is good too.. With all these options, how did Daler and Sameer come into picture?

HI, JUST JOINED THE FORUM
WANTED TO TALK ABOUT NHIRA. SHE IS THE BEST SINGER IN THE SA RE GA MA PA CHALLENGE . I HAVE BEEN FOLLOWING HER SINCE THE LAST THREE YEARS AND I TOLD MY WIFE THAT SHE WOULD MAKE IT TO THE TOP ONE DAY THE FIRST TIME I HEARD HER. VERY VERY SOLID VOICE WITH AN ALMOST PERFECT SUR EVERY TIME SHE SINGS.I DON'T THINK ANYONE FROM THE CONTESTENTS OF SAREGAMAPA CHALLENGE,WOULD HAVE DARED TO ATTEMPT TO SING THE SARGAM OF THE A.R RAHMAN SONG KEHNA HI KYA FROM BOMBAY.THERE WAS NO QUESTION AS TO WHO WOULD GET THRU TO THE NEXT ROUND THAT DAY WHEN SHE SANG THIS SONG.
AS FAR AS HER BEING MECHANICAL AS SOMEBODY SUGGESTED, REMEMBER YOU ARE TRYING TO BECOME A PLAYBACK SINGER NOT A STAGE SINGER THRU SAREGAMAPA. FOR THAT YOU HAVE FAME GURKUL ON SONY.NHIRA IS VERY TRAINED GIRL THANKS TO HER PARENTS AND I AM 100% SURE THAT SHE CAN DO ANY TYPE OF HARKAT IN HER SINGING.ALSO, I SEE NOTHING WRONG WITH HER ATTITUDE. SHE HAS WORKED HARD TO BE SO GOOD AND SHE HAS EVERY RIGHT TO BE CONFIDENT.
AND WHAT'S THE MATTER WITH JATINJI. WHY WAS HE TRYING TO CONVINCE THE JUDGES THAT UJJANI WAS BETTER THAN NHIRA WHEN IT WAS THEY WHO HAD TO DECIDE. AGREED UJJANI IS VERY GOOD BUT ID WAS RIGHT WHEN HE SAID THAT SHE MISSED THE SUR IN THE BEGINING OF THE SONG IN THE LAST SHOW WHEN NHIRA GOT THE GREEN AND SHE GOT THE YELLOW.
I AM SURE THAT BOTH JL & AS WISH THEY WOULD HAVE GOT NHIRA AND THAT THEY ARE BEING UNFAIR TO HER BECAUSE SHE IS IN THE GHARANA OF ID WHOM THEY DO NOT LIKE.

the top two gharans get a chance to recall two participants is news to me, wasn't aware of this ...but yes the fair thing is that public voting should be for the contestant who should get another chance while they can have another "popularity" vote for the gharana for which the mentors should be acknowledged as this voting will all depend on them and how they are mentoring their students etc... so yes the two things should be made mutually exclusive of each other.
Ultimately the goal of this show is to extract a future playback singer and not penalize any singer that has the potential just because he messed up once slightly or just because he or she was not in the right gaharana at the right time..and then finally it is a competetion and there will be only one or two winners at the end and the audience will be at peace with that provided we are satisfied with the judgement at each stage as each stage is very very crucial so please Mr. Gajendra Singh: if this show is so popular among the public as well as the music/singing fraternity then cash on that and invite some renowned and well respected/with authentic credentials personalities from there as judges..
