I am back from banwas. Sorry everybody and specially Barnali di. I did not mean to give you tension. Barnali di, I am sure that there is a link with all the songs of the contestants. I have not heard a single song till now. Could you please provide me with it. BTW, Barnali di the slogan of my gharana sounds like a Bagpiper Whiskey advertisement. 😆

Welcome Ashish, Lavanya, Simple and Sindhu to the gharana. I am sure that we will have a great time with lot of fun during this contest. We will decide the songs very soon.

First round Last Date of submission : 5thDec. 2006

This round will not have any theme. From next round we are going to follow a particular theme. The contestants will submit the songs to the mentors. And mentors will post the download links here in this very topic. Mentors are requested to give the song details too like the title of the song and film. Like last round mentors will need to post the song details before hand.

Regional songs means Bengali or Marathi songs only

How was this done last time??


(Barnali, Adi posted something on the GA, where I had replied with this post, then did not want to keep it there, so moved it here.)

can you clarify on this regional bit. We are allowed any language of our choice, as in choice of contestant, isnt it. I know Marathi, but I am not so sure if the contestants know it. And if they know bengali, they will need u to help them out 😆 so just a bit of clarification on this one please.

I think the regional songs can be ANY songs of the contestants' native language - Tamil, Gujarati, Marathi, Bengali, Rajasthani

We may an issue with some contestants not knowing any other language apart from Hindi. 😆

Haha lagta hain aapne Raju Kabi ki awaaz sun liya hain. Lekin is baar aapka tantrums nahin chalega Appaji! 😃 You can't threaten to walk out saying you want so and so in your gharana.

Appa Venky didnt submit song. infact priya and me were discussing the same yesterday. he was supposed to though.
