SRGMP Forum Singing Contest- Part III

Rules and Regulations

1. The contestants will submit their songs WITHOUT ANY BACKGROUND MUSIC OF ANY KIND WHATSOEVER. The contestants WILL NOT USE any voice enhancement techniques and the song must be submitted in the original voice of the contestant. If any song is found to use the above will automatically disqualify the contestant from the contest. Judges/ Program Coordinators decsision will be final and binding.

2. The contestants must sing FULL songs and not just one antara and mukhra. (In the Auditions round they are exempted from this rule and need to just sing one antara and mukhra of the song. This rule applies for all the other rounds when the contest actually gets started)

3. Karaoke Tracks are NOT allowed.

4. The result of every round will be declared in the results topic and the participants are requested to check the topic for their results. The Mentors will be provided the results and expert comments (if any received) through PM. The ratings received by the contestants will be provided only to the mentors.

5. The participants will be assigned to the different gharanas by the Guides of the Audition round. This assignment it will be final and binding and no expression of dissatisfaction or any complaints on such allotment will be entertained. Here the decision of the Guides or the Audition round mentors will be final and binding.

6. If an extension of date for submission of a song is required for any reason, the affected gharana mentor can make a request to Contest Coordinator within 7 days of posting the topic announcing the next round.

7. Every gharana will be entitled to only two requests for extention of time for submission of songs. No further requests will be considered, however, under exceptional circumstances, the Program Coordinator will use her discretion, which will be final and binding on all.

8. In case a participant has a query or is unable to follow something, he/she should first contact the gharana mentor and in the absence of the mentor can contact the Contest Team Coordinators. The mentors should also go through the coordinators.

90. The contestant will not post the songs directly. They will send it to their gharana mentors, who in turn will post the songs in the thread made for this purpose. If for any reason the mentor is unable to post the songs in a round or absent he/she can ask one of the contestants to take the charge after letting the Contest In-charge know about it.

10. It is the responsibility of the mentor of each gharana to ensure the song rendition criteria as mentioned in clause 1, 2 and 3 is matched for every participant of his/her gharana. Once the songs are submitted for the competition in the thread and if any such enhancement technique is identified by the judges or the production team, that participant will be automatically disqualified and no stand-by entry will be awarded to this gharana. Therefore the mentors are requested to closely scrutinize the songs before posting.

11. The selection of the Judges and Mentors has been done by the Contest Coordinating Team.

13. The judge's decision is abiding and final and cannot be contested or argued upon.

14. Mentors are requested to maintain cordiality amongst themselves, conduct themselves in a manner befitting their status in the contest. In the event of any disagreement, they are open to resolve it amongst themselves via PM and not bring the same onto forum or bring the same to the notice of other members of sections.

15. At no point of time will the mentor or the participant approach the judge for guidance, inside information or to clarify the judgment. Such action will amount to strict action by the Contest Coordinating Team.

16. Wild Card Entry: There will be an option of one wild Card Entry during the contest. It will be considered when the final 4 are left. The decision regarding this rests solely with the judges and Contest Coordinator and will be final.

17. Every round will be of 12 days. On the 12th day the songs need to be submitted by every gharana mentors. Two contestants will be eliminated in every round till last 3 contestants are left. The final will be with these contestants.
