Time and again in the topic I have made clear that we are talking of the bigger picture and that we need to address the Whys.. This has been clarified more than once to the point that it was getting repeatative at times... But yes, you were not listening to what me or some others were trying to say...

what bigger picture...its your subjective view ..i can say the same thing that you and others were not listning!!!!

A key thing to debate is patience and listening - without that no discussion can go ahead.. and debate also does not mean what I am saying is right and what others are saying is wrong..

In debate you put forth your ideas and arguments and evidence to support them ....

A debate also does not mean that you go and say the 'topic initiator is not clear' - and yes you said that - I can quote if you want..

yes you can say that topic initiater is not clear if that is the case....and yes i have said that i have never said no and iam not that kind of person who says no after i say it !!!!!!!

A debate also does not mean that you close the case when the other side is not even present to respond. and then laugh your way out on this achievement...

same here i see there are so many times you have respnded when iam offline!!!!! 😉

A debate also does not mean that you ridicule a person and her thoughts and then ask her to take criticism positively...

i said that to take positivly because you were taking it as a personal attack!!!!! and not me

I feel for one thing on which every body is unanimous is that we should get the worthy winner. No body would like a third grade singer to be the winner. These contests are held on TV and some how weither it is Judges or Public, they do see other things apart from singing.I am giving some examples below

Majority of people believe that Nihira should be the winner in C 2005. Probably public was seeing some thing else apart from singing..so could not win it. But Nihira has participated in saregamapa several times in the past when the Judges were Judging the competition. But she never won it before the Judges.

Debojit is considered by lot of people to be not worthy a winner in C 2005. But If I am not wrong he earlier participated in saregama to be judged by the Judges and won it.

Debojit has won both when it was Judged by the Judges or the Public.Nihira has not won it weither it was judged by Judges or the Public. There is no question about her talent in any body's mind. My point is Judges also see things other than singing when they are viewing somebody in front of them.

Now The finalists in front of Dr Neha RajPal was a much better singer. But Dr Rajpal won it because of her personality. This contest was being judged by Judges.

I am happy for Nihira she came back to this format of public voting. Not only she is recognized but also considered the real winner.

The recognition you are getting is like a bonus which you never used to get before. Girls like Nihira who did not win a competiton before despite excellent singing abilities can be easily lost the way our system is in India.Parents will marry her off thinking she may not be good enough for this industry. Now every body knows about her abilities and probably she is going to survive.
I feel there should be two winners ..one for girls and other for boys..

nice discussion . I think somebody needs to summarise it and then close this off.

who will give the verdict ? looks like debate is going to have abnormal end here 😕

arre bhai, debates ko judge kaun karega- judges or public? 😉 and who will decide that? if judges, then who will appoint them? judges or public? 😉 if public, then who will decide if they are learned enuff to vote? judges or public? 😉 but before that, who will ... haha 😉

yaar, mai kehta hoon yeh sab ko golee maaro. i will impose myself as chief justice 😉 learned hoon, smart hoon, public ko khush karna janta hoon, bikaoo hoon... 😉 😆 J/K
