Thats the link...in dubai, one of the FM stations had a countdown on new years eve of 2001, and thats when I heard thsi song.. no1 seems to have ever heard of it !

Even the music of RHTDM was excellent, it never made headlines.. same for Tehzeeb, Bose, heck even Legend of Bhagat Singh (Ajay Devgan) had BRILLIANT music.. that song Sarfaroshi Ki Tammanna is what I would rank as one of the best songs EVER !!

I don't remember if it falls into your last 5year category(i don't keep track..) but there was this song Jhoka hawa ka aaj bhi..zulfei udata hoga na"in a hit film "Humdil de chuke sanam".

For some reason this song never got the attention it deserved..I like it a lot.

What happens with all these movies is, the fast ones get publicised faster and then with the new download age, not many people go and buy a CD to listen to whole album, and until the movie releases, people dont hear much of that song...

Oh another music that went unrecognized is that of Phir Milegne, EXCELLET music..

I like that track Le Chale from My Brother Nikkhil too...

and ya.. Kahan Ho Tum in U, Bomsi and Me (It was there in an old bombay vikings album too)

Bose - yes 'Tanha raahi' was brilliant...

Another track that comes to mind is 'Yeh lamha filhaal jee lene do' from Filhaal.... Brilliant 👏

Yup..it is such a beautiful and soulful number... I think it was edited out of the movie but I just loved it.

There was another one in yaadein.. sung by a girl don't remember her name " ai dil dil ki duniya mein aisa haal bhi hota hain"..if one could chop off the KK's part from the song..then that is also a beautiful number.

This was a great song Adi, and as Madhavi rightly said - the faster and the peppier numbers always get the attention... 😕

The songs of the movie tum bin were also pretty good.

Jaya : oh yes, thats a nice song, I was just listening to that =D ! Asha ji sounds divine.. I liked the video of that too..

Adi: Yaadien had good music.. I really liked it.. except Eli Eli (which I found irritating).. Ai Dil Dil Ki Duniya was good, Yaadien title track was fantastic

Even that song from Masti, Dil De Diya Hain, such a beautiful song, but what song do we usually associate with Masti 'On the roof, in the rain' ya 'Ek Kunwara' !!

I also loved 'Hum hain is pal yahaan' from Kisna... Unfortunately for this one, the movie was so horrible that even the music suffered the plight 😕
