I think we are going back to the old debate of falling musical tastes and market catering to that... And I will not like argue over it again, period.

Well, QSQT and Ashiqui worked because both of the albums brought in welcome change from the music that was prevelant in those times.. though I personally think that though Ashiqui was possibly Nadeem Shravan's best, overall it was strictly OK... Anyways, Parineeta I think serves the same purpose and is refreshingly melodious when compared to the noise prevelant in other albums... Sometimes, may be we get so much tuned in to the shouts and shrills that something as pure as 'Piyu bole' sounds ordinary to us... But again in Parineeta, 'Soona man ka aangan' and 'Raat humari to' are probably more touching than 'Piyu bole' and 'Kaisi paheli zindagani'... Its just that the broader market does not identify with these numbers and others like Raincoat and Water, but that in no way should take the credit away from these lovely compositions
