Somebody mentioned Saira Banu...one song of hers that I love is "Main Kamsin Hoon, Nadan Hoon, Nazuk Hoon, Bholi Hoon....thaam lo mujhe ke yahi ilteja karoon"

She looked so beseechingly innocent, that any man would want to hold her and protect...I feel that way wathching that song..and I'm a gal! (now, now, people, don't get any ideas ok... 😆

Ok another of my favourites: Khoya khoya chaand khula aasmaan.

Dev Anand has just learnt that Waheeda loves him and he goes berserk. He walks and walks till his feet must have given way..that typical walk you know. Waheeda strolls around somewhere else with a charming, shy smile on her face.

There's just one anomaly in this song. Can't make out if it is night or day. One scene looks too brightly lit to be night. Or was it the chaand in full glory?

Actually, I love listening to this song rather than watching it...can't stand Dev's characteristic walk.......like a hunchbacked skeleton walking !!!😆

Yeah there was something wrong with his walk but I kind of got used to it, I think. 😊

Actually it is Raaat and the bright scenes are those with the chand ki roshni at its full glory.....Remember Waheeda sitting on a bench in white sari...it looks so very bright....and Dev Anand walking like a bhaloo on the moors singing this very melodious song....Yeah, who CAN like Dev's strange walk.....but most got used to it as Punjiniji said.....his looks and ada made up more than ever for his strange walk....

Punjiniji, I think you mentioned "Caravan" on one of the pages...but still..I love the following song:

Arey hoooo..goriya kahan tera des rey...
Goriya kahan tera des..

What a song...can't remmeber the full sequence but vaguely remember Jetu and Asha Parekh meandering on the moors with Jeetu's truck in the background.....Asha Parekh is one of my favourites (after Madhubala of course)...Some called her kaani (cockeyed)...but I never felt she was one...she lookes so cute...inspite of her size (she looked Biiiig in some movies)..but still..my favourite...

Oh yes, I wanted to describe this song but felt too lazy. I love the long shot of the entire caravan with scores of carts trudging along and Jeetendra dancing on the side with Aruna Irani. Aruna was a real spitfire!

Yeah...Aruna was a spitfire....she looked also quite good. She had that gheuntaaak number in "Piya tu ab to a ja...Monica my darling" with heavy breathing by Ashaji (or was it someone else while recording ?)...The song was good but I still like the other songs in this movie more than this number....why ?....cant say lah!!
