Razia Sultan - Hema malini wandering around in the desert... Absolutely brilliant.. Lata'ji + Khayyam create weave magic here...

The song is fantastic, even the picturization is great. Only Hema looks a little overweight 😊 What I like about this song is the few seconds of silence that follows "yeh zameen chhup hai, aasmaan chhup hai" and then comes the sound of the tabla after which the song continues. To use silence so effectively - hats off to Khayyam.

In the earlier films the situation used to blend with the music and make a lot of sense..

take for example the following

1. Pal bhar ke liye...Johnny mera naam

I was going to mention this song too. The situation would make anyone smile. I wonder how many windows that house had! For every window that Hema shut, Dev Anand would open another! 😊 And at the end of the song he gets ensconced in the house itself!

Here's another of my favourites:
Bachpan ke din bhi kya din thhe from SUJATA. Shashikala sings it while playing the piano. Nutan who is hanging out clothes to dry in the terrace just hums along (no words). It's so natural, simple and beautiful in picturisation. Bimal Roy's direction at its best. Asha' voice, even while just humming is sheer magic.

Liked the picturisation of "Akele hai to kya gham hai" from Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak..

Amir and Juhi trying to build up a home in the purana mandir shelter that they have found...

Quite romantic.. 😳
Also Anand Milind composed some refreshing music for the movie.. Not sure why they stopped composing 😕

Thanks a lot for the link😃😃

Yeah, every composer was besotted with Lata. Some significant Lata-die hards were - Anilda, Ramachandra, Madan Mohan, Salilda, Naushad.

Jaidev had a soft spot for Asha and SD too. OP was obsessed with Asha.

Abhi,

Do you know that once Lata ji said that no music directors could sustain without me. SD was so mad at her for saying this that he did not use Lata ji for 9 years just to prove her wrong.

There is a song in the movie Yes Boss. I cant for the life of me remember the tune or the words, but it was very soft and romantic and it is played during the opening credits of the movie. The tune also comes in another scene where SRK and Juhi are sitting on the stairs, Juhi is drunk and SRK is gazing at her face in the moonlight and she accidently hits him near his eys, and blows gently on his eyes to soothe the area.

Another beautiful song... does anyone remember the song
